Waitress told us the restaurant is closing the 15th. Don’t bother visiting between now and then. We were a party of 9 and made reservations for 5:30pm. When ordering we were told they only had 1 half rack of ribs! We ordered a variety of the pulled pork, pulled chicken and meatloaf. The portion sizes and taste were good

Up in the world of bland, I wouldn’t expect world class BBQ and it didn’t happen here, what we did get was well prepared pulled pork sandwich, tender fresh and juicy. It tasted baked as I didn’t taste any smoke in the meat. The sauce was watery red a cross between North Carolina vinegar sauce and a very mild sweet Memphis/St Louis BBQ sauce. the hot just mildly hot. The coleslaw was interesting different and tasty. Mac and cheese should have been tossed in the garbage not served. The baked beans were excellent and could compete against anybody’s beans any where. Corn bread had too much flour and sugar and too little corn meal, more like cake then corn bread, just a sayin’ Oh and what’s up with all the plastic?. This type of establishment should serve on real plates with real forks and spoons.

Very good barbecue: excellent sauce, awesome beans, yummy corn bread and slaw. Good selection of beer on tap. Beautiful ambiance in the front patio; great views.

Went here with a group of college kids looking for a place to eat on a budget. Not by any means an authentic Mexican place. That being said, it was friendly and quite filling. The potato truffle soup was fabulous, comfort food I needed after a day of ice climbing. My main course was the carne asada burrito. The meat was quite tender and properly cooked, and the tortillas were all homemade. Everybody was quite happy with their food, and stuffed. Service was pretty slow. Do be warned: They charge for refills and the chips and salsa are not free. Music was not Mexican or even a consistent genre which was odd. For 8 hungry men it was $ 150. I would go back for sure.

My husband and I came here for dinner on a Thursday night. It was very charming as you walk up to it, there’s a big smoker outside and it’s in what looks like a big old house. The inside lacks in charm and character in comparison to the outside. It kind of looks like it was cheaply constructed The pork nachos were outstanding! Then we shared the two plate combo. The Mac and cheese was a little bland for our liking but the pulled chicken was fabulous with both bbq sauces. The cornbread was moist, dense and very flavorful and the baked beans were good but more of your typical standard baked beans. The smoked meatloaf was not fantastic and didn’t taste smoked to me. Overall I’d say it’s pretty good bbq but not the best.

Quick stop on our way home back from Quebec! The Screaming Board Stew was out of this world! Found the meatloaf a bit too salty and pale and I did not like the big pieces of garlic — but overall food pretty good! We also order brisket and pulled pork. Waitress was very pleasant too!

Food was good(coleslaw, meatloaf and brisket being definite highlights), but portion sizes were a little small for the price and you’d think that if you’re paying $ 16 for an entrée they could spring for something classier than a paper plate to serve it on. Did have a good draft beer selection too tho.

Ordered the 3 meat, pork, cajun meatloaf and brisket with mild sauce along with cornbread, coldslaw, potatoe salad and baked beans and all were heavenly. Sauce had a sweet taste and the meats moist and tender. From a guy from Texas that knows his BBQ, this place was a top 5. Loved the meal and cool summer day. David W

First off I am no BBQ expert. I have been a back yard smoker for a little more than a year. I have settled on a few recipes on my own that I like, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, mac and cheese, cheese, bacon. The basics. I also make my own sauce. I say this only to point out, that while I do know a small amount about BBQ, I am no expert, yet I know what I like. I judge bbq by this measure, can I do better? Again I am no expert, but when I make a meal at home and everyone at home loves it, I think, why go to a restaurant? I had high hopes for the Screaming Boar. My family and I were vacationing in NH and after a day at Santa’s Village I convinced them to make the trip to Littleton for BBQ. So here are my thoughts: Atmosphere: A+. The restaurant was very clean and well lit. Looks like it use to be a residential house. Everything looked. New and well kept. The kids wanted to eat out side. Good choice! Very nice night. Service: A– Considering the service staff consisted of 1 waitress, she did a great job. It wasn’t her fault they were short staffed. Sauces: C+. They had two kinds, hot and mild. The hot was too hot for my taste. The mild was, rather bland. I was very disappointed. If you have read this far into my review then you might care what I have to say. After tasting both sauces my first thought was, «I could. Do better than this». Food: No kids menu was a big minus. Little non BBQ offering was another. In total my family got: Chicken tender, fries, pulled pork nachos, brisket, Cajun meatloaf, mac and cheese, BBQ beans and corn bread. Fries and chicken tenders were ok. Can’t really mess up frozen food. Mac and cheese was very bland. Corn bread was tender and sweet. Pulled pork nachos were very good. Sauce on pork was sweet and the pork was tender. Cajun meat loaf was tender and juicy but far too hot for my taste. Brisket was very tender, yet too much fat left on the meat. All in all an ok meal.

Incredible service. The entire wait staff was extremely personable. Then there was the BBQ, all I can say is wow. Amazingly good. And Cajun smoked meatloaf, never seen that before, but I need the recipe. Pulled pork had a nice light smoke taste and was melt in your mouth. The Beef Brisket, however, outshines the other two meats. Amazing, great bark on the meat and perfectly moist/tender. As others have mentioned, the cornbread is outstanding, but they don’t just phone it in on their other sides. Mac and cheese and beans had tons of flavor and were a great traditional compliment. I wish they had more sides to choose from, i. e corn and collard greens, but what they do offer is done right. Almost forgot about the Boar’s Poutine. This dish could teach the Canadians a thing or two! As for the atmosphere it was a nice clean establishment with plenty of outside seating and a nice bar. Portions are extremely generous. Another review mentions high prices, but they must not eat bbq much. I thought there prices were $ 5 – 10 below a comparable bbq

This is the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Meat falls off the bones, Cajun meatloaf is awesome. Cornbread ridiculous. Don’t be scared off by the lack of décor or the plastic utensils. Will definitely return.

Folks, this place is fantastic!!! My family enjoyed a fabulous meal. Ribs are awesome! BBQ beans, cole slaw — all great. I have celiac disease and need to eat gluten free. The owner was very knowledgeable. All of the rubs and bb sauce they use are Gluten free. I had the smoked brisket. One of the best things I have ever eaten!!!

My husband was extremely hungry after skiing, so I suggested the«new» BBQ place. He jumped on the chance. We later found out it has been open for two years. Silly us we missed this place for so long. We sat at the bar, which was really nice. The service was great and very personable. I could come back again just for the bar which had a good TV. We were able to sample most of what was on the menu, including all of the sides. It was really some really good BBQ and the corn bread was like cake. What I wasn’t impressed with was the paper plates with small portions of the meats, and the total price seemed to be high. I would go back, but would be careful of what I ordered.

This is my Go-To place for a great sandwich & a cold beer. The staff is great and the owner is usually always on hand. Yes, the entrée pricing can be a bit expensive but if you stick to the ‘sandwich’ sized portion you can be filled for under $ 8. Try adding the beans or sweet potato fries for a few more bucks to be really filled.

Screaming Boar is a near perfect 10, some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. My wife and I were headed home after a vacation up north, and decided to hit Littleton for a quick lunch on the highway. Unilocal came through yet again, as it steered us to one of the best places I’ve been in a while. Ambiance — Pretty nice actually. The have great tables outside, with a smoker chugging away out front nearby for that authentic road-side BBQ feel. There is ample seating upstairs and down. The bathroooms are also nice and well maintained. Service — Friendly, quick, and really helpful. They went the extra mile by helping to serve up some sauce that we wanted to take with us. Food — First off, I hate you if you’re local to this place. No really, it isn’t fair. Why should you have access to this delectable deliciousness while I have nothing even close? Now that we’ve established that, let’s talk about HOWGOODTHISPLACEIS. Oh man… absolutely AMAZING corn bread. I mean… usually corn bread kind of stinks. The corn bread here is ruthlessly awesome. It is so moist and sweet, you could just about die eating it. The Ribs are amazing. The sauce for the ribs is probably the best I’ve ever had. I am actually drooling right now thinking about it. It is that good. We took 3 containers of the stuff with us when we left, and I wish I’d taken 20. The brisket was solid, although not quite as lip smacking as the ribs and chicken. Even the rest of the sides were lights-out fantastic. The Baked Beans were so good, I think I finished the entire container. Oh man. Eat here. Please. Seriously.

Outstanding pulled pork with cornbread and coleslaw. Great service with a smile… competent, fast, on top of it. The wait, although short, was nearly unbearable because the whole pace smelled great. We’ll be back!

I had to try this place out as I love BBQ and places like this are hard to find in NH. I went with my Family and we all tried diffrent things so i got a little taste of everything. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and it just seemed to melt in your mouth with great flavor. I also got to try there beef brisket, pulled pork and smoked meatloaf. Everything was great. I am pretty hesitant to order meatloaf anywhere i go, as my mom and grandmother make the best(same recipe i thnk). This meatloaf had a great flavor and texture and i would definitley order it again. Everyone that worked there was very nice and it was a nice clean atmosphere. I will be back again.
