I was referred to this office by my primary care physician. I have exercise induced asthma and wanted to improve the control of this chronic illness. I had an allergy test done there and was not informed that this elective test would cost $ 900.00. My family is a single family income and that is almost a full two weeks’ pay. I would have never agreed to this test if I would have known the cost. I am disappointed in this office and feel deceived by the physicians.

I was referred here by my primary care physician. The office staff were pleasant at check in and provided me with an estimated cost of the visit after my insurance paid. The appointment started approximately 15 minutes late. Dr Koepke met me in the office to discuss why I was there and decided which tests he believed were necessary. Dr. Koepke was patient and thorough. What impressed me most about this office was the after care. After Dr. Koepke recommended an over-the-counter medication, he provided a list of where the medication was sold with prices. His nurse gave me a printed sheet that included instructions for proper use of the medication. A week later I received a letter in the mail describing what we had discussed in the office and what his recommendations were.

When I moved to Denver I was having some breathing issues. My Dr. Sent me to Dr. Van Kerkhove. I explained I did not have an allergies, but they insisted I have the $ 900 allergy test done… The result was that I did not have allergies. They said it was Exercised Induced Asthma, and put me on a steroid and rescue inhaler. I called a month later letting them know I had zero improvement. They said to double my dosage. I called another month later, and they said«make sure you are using the aero-chamber». I called several months later, and they suggested I do a lung x-ray, and set me up to go to the Lowry location. I get there the next day, and they said«Oops, we meant to send you to the Imagining Center». The x-rays showed nothing, and at this point they actually said«We need to do your asthma test to see if it is in fact exercised induced asthma». They treated me with a steroid without ever knowing if it was accurate. I switched to National Jewish. I was immediately was taken off the steroid and inhaler. Immediately told I do not have exercised induced asthma, and immediately told these inhalers served no benefit. It costs me 10k, and a ton of time by starting at CO Asthma and Allergy. Their solution to everything is steroids. Be careful!

My daughter has been a patient here since she was 1 year old. She had the flu and I had to cancel one of her appts and the office charged me $ 50 for a cancellation! Unbelievable, my daughter has the flu and your going to charge me because I didn’t want to bring her into the office and get everyone else sick! I will not be returning to this office due to this ridiculous policy.

We have been coming to see Dr Koepke at Colorado Allergy for several years. Our middle daughter has peanut allergies. We have always found the staff friendly. Dr Koepke has always taken the time to answer our questions and concerns. Back yesterday for our oldest daughter for seasonal allergies. If you need a good allergy doctor would recommend Dr Koepke.

It feels weird to award five stars to a place for stabbing me with needles twice a week, but there it is. They’re very professional but also super nice. If you have any kind of reaction to a shot, they spring into action like the Fantastic Four and there’s an Epi-Pen stuck in your thigh before you can say«OWWW.» They were very helpful and patient as I was trying to figure out my insurance and everything. Plus they have Tweety Bird bandaids! I’m not even going to take a star off for the fact that they play the soft-rock station in the waiting room, but bring your iPod unless you love Celine Dion.
