We arrived right at lunch and the whole food court was packed with high school kids. My son(who doesn’t go to school anywhere around here) decided he wanted pizza. He walked up, placed his order for a couple of slices, and then proceeded to wait for over 20 minutes for his food. I know I said the food court was packed but Jay’s Pizza was not. My son walked straight to the counter and ordered. In the 20 minutes that he stood there waiting for his food, I’m betting there wasn’t two other customers that ordered from Jay’s. When he finally received his pizza they were so greasy that the toppings slip right off the crust when any attempt was made to pick up the slice. It was pizza and he’s a teenage boy so he ate it, but I sure would not have. On a side note, while he was waiting for his food a security guard came up and started questioning him about why he was in this food court. Apparently, if you’re a student you’re not allowed to be there during school hours if you’re not in high school(my son is in Jr. high). It took a while for my son to convince the security guard that he wasn’t from Little Rock. Yeah, he was skipping school but it was from a school on the other side of the state.

This was my first time eating from Jay’s Pizza and I was not disappointed! The guy behind the counter was super nice and my slice was prepared quickly. I got basic pepperoni, but there’s lots of different toppings. Great choice if you’re in the River Market area!

This place is simply amazing! Not only is the pizza great but the service is even better! The worker noticed we had a one year old kid and asked if we would like his slice cut up in tiny little squares so he could eat it better. Honestly he didn’t need to do that, but it’s that kind of service that sets you apart!

My Facebook friends and Twitter followers know I love Jay’s Pizza. So much so that I’m helping my friends, Jay Baxter and David Spencer, out on their tasty venture. But I wouldn’t be so willing to assist them if I didn’t love Jay’s Pizza. The crusty is crispy and cracker like without being dry or flavorless. When I remember to save some of the crust I give it to my trusty pal Streeter but often I forget because it is so good. Jay’s has so many different toppings and specialty pizzas I haven’t been able to work my way through the menu yet. Definitely worth a trip downtown for a good slice or whole pie.

Brand new pizza place in the Little Rock Rivermarket that’s serving great pizza. If you’re a fan on thin crust you must give them a try. Serving whole and by the slice pizza from 11am till 2 pm Monday thru Saturday. Yum-Yum!
