For a Comfort Inn by an airport in Arkansas, this place wasn’t half bad. Everyone whom we encountered during our stay was open and friendly. The breakfast was open nice and early and had many available options. There was a small area where guests can buy candy, ice cream, snacks, and other toiletries, but some of the candy was stale. We ate dinner at the hotel one night, and the woman running the bar made our food. It wasn’t five star quality, but it was much better than McDonalds if you don’t want to eat out. This hotel is pet friendly, and it was pretty cool to see pet owners and their fur babies accounted for. My family and I stayed here twice during our trip, and while both nights were pleasant, the second stay was a bit crowded with a few large tour groups occupying a few floors. Despite the crowd, the hotel breakfast and check out ran smoothly and the place was very clean. The only thing I didn’t understand is why the beds were so high off the ground haha I’m short so literally jumping into bed was interesting.

The receptionist who checked us in was quite friendly. I asked for the oceanview room(obviously in Little Rock there is no such thing) and he joked back, «How did you know?». Our experience went downhill after that. The odor in our«pet-friendly» room was reminiscent of a nursing home that had not yet been cleaned. The carpet was still wet. I assume this was from their attempts to steam clean the carpet. The bed was generally comfortable, however the sheets did have some obvious stains including some minor blood stains. Sadly, breakfast was equally disappointing with food that tasted like their shelf lives had expired long before our arrival. Upon checkout I waited at the front desk, and when nobody appeared I looked around the corner to their convenience store. The morning receptionist was stocking some merchandise. I asked if she was the receptionist and her only response was a glance over her shoulder and a loud sigh. You might guess that her customer service skills thereafter did not improve much. No attempts were made to determine whether or not our stay had been pleasant, much less acceptable. We expected that our stay would be inexpensive, unfortunately the experience was altogether cheap. Next time we look for a hotel we will remember that you get what you pay for.

OK… its a comfort inn so I was not expecting the greatest place on earth, but we were travelling with my son’s new puppy the next morning on an early morning flight and needed a place that accepted pets. What a pleasant surprise. The staff was really friendly, the room was spacious, the hotel was very clean and the dog actually got her own welcome packet(dog bowl, toy, and some other small items which was a really nice touch). The kids liked the fresh baked cookies in the lobby, and I liked the fact that they had breakfast available at 4:30AM since we had to catch a 6AM flight! All in all a very, very pleasant surprise. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
