What a find! My daughter and I had an incredible breakfast here in August, and I am returning this week with a friend. I almost don’t care about the other restaurants in the Mendocino area as long as I get to have breakfast at Circa 62. The baked goods are worth the extra cost for a platter, and the house-made sausage is like none I have ever tasted. One caveat — there is a tendency to run out of popular selections early, so if you want the tacos, or any other notable dish, get there early. By the time we ate — 9:30 a.m., our choices were limited, but I’m hardly complaining. This is a must-do dining spot for sure.

So good! We stopped in for brunch at this cute little place off highway 1 having heard that they allow dogs. They do allow dogs in the small dining area to the left when you walk in, which was great for us. The food was fantastic. I had the chilaquiles which were amazing – such great flavor that I ate just about the entire plate. My husband opted for the breakfast burger which was indeed a sight to behold. It was just about as big as his head! So impressive, in fact, that other patrons came over from the other side of the restaurant to gawk at it. The flavor of the burger was just as impressive as its size. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

We chose this restaurant for brunch on my 50th birthday and it was a great decision. I had«death on a raft»(scrambled eggs and gravy on top of a potato waffle) and my wife had the French Toast with caramelized apples and a hard cider syrup: The good: There is a lot to like about this place. The dining room is quaint(we had a nice table by a fire place) and elegant. There are a lot of windows and some great views(ours was of the woods). Menu was obviously designed by a skilled chef as it is not too large and appears easy for his/her team to execute. As for the food, it was outstanding. Starting with the French toast, the Caramelized apples were perfect and the hard cider syrup was a great touch. Definitely had a rustic feel to it. As for my «raft», that was my favorite breakfast of the trip. Food was seasoned perfectly and I never needed to add salt or pepper. The texture change from the potatoes to the eggs/gravy was great as were the layered flavors. The not so good: There is a pretty narrow window for this food. On the weekends you have from 8 to 12; however, on weekdays the window is only 2 hours. We arrived at 10:15 on a Tuesday and they were already closed Overall: This is a great restaurant and I am glad I chose it for my birthday breakfast. You know from the moment you enter that you are in a, special place and are treated as so. I have no complaints, look forward to returning, and gladly give 5 stars

We hosted a dinner party here for my 40th birthday and ate several breakfasts over the course of our stay at the inn. The food is delicious, the staff are super friendly and the ambience strikes a perfect balance for a not-fancy special occasion. It’s also kid friendly. There’s a picture window that looks out onto what might be the set for a live version of Bambi — so many cute furry critters running around. And the kids get a coloring page that matches the view!

First time in Mendocino with close friends. First time at this place: outstanding! The place itself is absolutely charming, clean and inviting. The menu is top notch along with the food and service. When you come to this area you have to do breakfast here.

We ate here twice and my husband and I loved it. We had the breakfast tacos which were amazing, a veggie egg scramble which was also delicious and I tried the almond flour pancakes which were good but very tiny. The unlimited mimosas were also very nice and they let dogs inside here in a small section of the restaurant which we liked as well since we had our dog with us. I wish they were open for lunch and we can’t wait to come back.

The food here is really wonderful and unique. The coffee was delicious. The ambience, and setting of this place is sweet, and it was wonderful to be sat where we could see the ocean. Brinner breakfast tacos were loaded with flat iron steak, and came with perfectly cooked spicy potatoes. Delicious! The Circa 62 was also delicious and the pork sausage was one of the most flavorful I have ever tasted. Amazing selection of hot sauces. Good service from«Kitty» as well as good recommendations on what to order. Price was more than fair, and the place has a really nice energy. If you have a pooch they have a menu just for them which is a darling, and thoughtful touch. Only downside is the hours, 8 – 12. I was so glad we were able to get there at least one day of our vacation. It is a must try place!

Wow! For starters, they allow dogs. There’s a small room just inside the entrance with two tables reserved for folks with dogs. Additionally, they have a doggy menu. We didn’t take advantage of this for our dog, but we’re very appreciative of their thoughts. My wife, our 1-year-old pooch and I went for breakfast on a Saturday morning. My wife had the“62″ and I had Ainer’s brinner tacos. Both were incredible. In fact, we enjoyed the food so much that we went back the next morning to try two more dishes — the almond flour pancakes and slow death on a raft. We were equally satisfied! The owners, Kevin and Sandy, were eating next to us on Sunday morning. What great people! We will certainly return!

I seriously love this place. First off, the décor is so cute and charming. Like a rustic cottage. We got to sit in the sun room area, surrounded by big glass windows on all sides, with a lovely with of the water and trees. We had a $ 25 credit for breakfast that came with our room at the Inn, so we decided to get breakfast here. We thought that the prices would be crazy overpriced like at most hotel restaurants, but we were pleasantly surprised that the prices were about average. EVERYTHING we ordered was so tasty! I can’t remember what everything was called, but one of them was a Spanish style egg dish that was so flavorful. We were impressed they could do Latin food so well, so far up north. I think we also got the french toast, which was delicious. Really, everything tasted so so good. and our server was so nice to us. Just an overall lovely experience, we hope to be back again some day!

Incredible food in an adorable old building, surrounded by birds, bunnies and chipmunks! What a great birthday breakfast! The food is a decent price and everything is fantastic– there isn’t a bad choice on the menu! Their eggs are scrambled with something that makes them soft and creamy and oh so dreamy! They have a huge assortment of hot sauce if you need to add anything. Even their toast is amazing, with crisp sourdough and local fresh blackberry jam! We will definitely be back!

Unbelievably great food! We had breakfast there this morning and it was fantastic! Slow death on a raft with sausage gravy and hash brown waffles… brinner tacos with steak, eggs, jalapeños, tomatoes and cotija… eggs with shiitake mushrooms, spinach, and summer vegetables… local blackberry preserves… fabulous coffee, oh my! Our visit was made even better by the sweet, friendly staff and out our window table was a view of woodland animals enjoying their morning and the ocean. We could not be more pleased and will be back soon

A bunny a bunny! We got to eat breakfast watching chipmunks, little birds and an itty bitty bunny munching on seeds :) Yes it’s as lovely as everyone else says. The only thing I would add is to split an order of their house muffins and breads no matter what. We received the best warm cinnamon nut bread and blueberry muffin I’ve ever had.

A very cute restaurant which was originally a schoolhouse in the 1800’s. We were the 1st for breakfast on a weekday and it was nice to have a few minutes before others arrived 30 mins. later. Hubby had the«62» with Brioche French toast, eggs, crisped potatoes, chicken sausage, $ 14.95. He had OJ and coffee. I tried the«Big River» breakfast with hash browns cooked into a waffle shaped. It was not crispy compared to when you pan fry it on the griddle or in a pan. The outside of the hash brown seemed too hard and not crispy enough. I liked the over easy eggs and especially their homemade pork sausage patty(too small), $ 14.95. The waitress had time to chat with us since no one else was around, they started serving breakfast approx. 1 yr ago. We got a table by the front windows and were able to see the distant ocean. They also feed seeds on the side of the house to the local animals — the birds and chipmunk are all trained to stop by in the AM for some free seeds. IT was rather funny to watch them all flurrying around in a community of animals and birds trying to eat the seeds. $ 49 for breakfast for 2.

This was the best meal we ate while in Elk, Mendocino, Fort Bragg area! First, we were offered a table with ocean view or one facing outside to the side yard area where they put feed out for the birds, rabbits and chipmunks. Watching the doves, steller’s jays and animals scurry around was super entertaining. Everything on the menu looked so good but after long pondering, we chose the machaca tacos and housemade pork sausage with eggs. The food and coffee were excellent, atmosphere lovely and service was spot-on! I can’t wait to travel to N California again so that I can sample more of this menu!

We’re staying down the street at the Heritage House for our babymoon but heard this place had the best breakfast and it didn’t disappoint. You can taste how fresh everything is! The sausage and bacon was unreal, the hashbrown waffle was nice and crispy, the French toast was to die for, and even the eggs tasted different in the best way. The coffee was great too. We would definitely recommend this place! Super cute.

What a great little spot in little river. It’s situated in an inn setting, across from the ocean. Just outside of Mendocino. We had the brinner tacos, steak and spicy potatoes. Incredible way to start the day. Would absolutely recommend to anyone passing through or having a nice romantic getaway.

Really great spot for Breakfast on the Mendocino coast. Nice view, cozy feel. The dinning room is beautiful and clean. We would absolutely recommend it and would be happy to return. Pro’s: We started with the house made breads. Wow. Warm and fresh. Yummy! I ordered the hash brown waffle. It was yummy and different from your typical breakfast. The fresh salsa on the side was crisp, fresh and full of amazing flavors! My husband had the almond pancakes and again they were not your typical, plain pancakes. The almond flavor was apparent but not overwhelming. The texture was crisp and light. The plate was small but he was super full after eating them. Con’s: Being from the Bay Area we are used to high prices. This place tipped the scale a little to slightly overpriced for what you get. I’m ok with paying the few extra bucks for a really good breakfast but it felt like they could meet us somewhere in the middle. The service was slow. We are on vacation and willing to wait but when I came close to refilling my own coffee after a long delay and then had to retrieve ketchup for my son from the kitchen on my own, it’s a little too slow. The server was very pleasant and seemed to be all alone so maybe this was a rare thing. I’d say definitely check this place out if you are in town.
