I have been coming to Aviva for the past 3 years and I always liked the place since the first time I came by. It’s a good neighborhood bar in the heart of Lisle, a good place to meet up for drinks and chill. I like having the option of sitting outside in the summer and enjoy a cold beer on a hot day. The food has always been good and I specially like the wings burgers & Pizza. There’s always a food and drink special during the week so when you have a chance try it out it’s a good place to go.

Saw cock roaches and watched a manager tell the server not to worry about it. In the biz, and I know how it works, get bombed before the health department shows up. Not cool, at all. Great staff, but doesn’t make up for insect/rodent infestation.

I ordered 2 chopped salads, which weren’t great. But the food wasn’t the problem honestly. It was the wait for the food that was the real problem. I ordered through GrubHub at just after 6pm and received a notification saying my food should be expected sometime between 730−740pm. Well around 755pm I called the restaurant to see where my salads where. Management told me he would’ve there any second… So I call again nearly 15mins later and let management(Jimmy? Maybe Timmy? Sorry I suck with names) know the food still isn’t here. So he calls the driver and finds out it will be an additional 10 mins til the driver will get to me. All I can think of is how shitty my salads are going to be after 30 plus minutes past the expected delivery time. Now here’s the only reason I am giving them 3 stars: the manager made 2 brand new fresh salads and drove them to me himself with a conciliatory piece of cheesecake. He got to me by 830 and was polite and apologetic for my less than stellar experience. I can appreciate the effort to make things right.

I’ve known about this restaurant for awhile… Just never made it there. On Easter my family was talking about the wonderful pizza… And the restaurant being owned by The Salerno’s… So my friend and I decided to try it out today… Neither one of us have never been here… We walk in and stand there? Are we supposed to wait for someone to seat us or just get a table ourselves? No one said a word or acknowledged that we were there so we sat down at a table. Finally a younger girl with a tattoo came over and greeted us… Brought menus… Took our drink order. This was about 3:00 p. m… There were a few people at the bar and a few tables with customers as well. This is not a big place. I got my Sierra Mist. My friend had to wait as they were brewing a fresh pot of coffee. A different server Valerie came and took our order. Pasta for my friend. Gluten Free Pasta Primavera for me. Usually a $ 3.0 up charge? That’s a bit steep. I asked for my veggie well cooked. I got broccoli cheese soup which was light & tasty and my friend salad. Finally her coffee comes! She opened up a small cream container and dumped it in… ICK! MOLD floating on the top of her coffee… I wish I would have taken a picture;-(;-(… This just about turned my friend’s stomach … And could no longer eat her salad… It was pretty gross looking… Blue & White glob just floating on top of coffee? We finally got the attention of one of the servers… Who looked at it like«what’s wrong»… Then she said…“oh you must have gotten some old cream…” She whisked away the coffee and brought out new with new cream she got from the cooler herself. Then we got our food. My friends was good but my Gluten Free Spaghetti Noodles were not cooked all the way through. I took about 4 bites and then decided to wait to get our server(Valerie’s) attention. I told her about my chewy pasta and she took my food back to the Kitchen. A few moments later marching over with my food in hand. «The Chef says he cooked the GF Pasta. The Normal Time. Like always. You must be used to a different type of GF Pasta»… Really Now… Hmmmmm… I’ve been eating Gluten Free Pasta for 5 years now. I eat GF Fusilli from Noodles & Company about once a week. I’ve eaten at Macaroni Grill, Maggiano’s…Olive Garden. Biaggi’s. Traverso’s. Fiamme. Clara’s… All of their GF Pasta’s. It would have taken a minute to cook my pasta in a microwave(if they have one). That what I did at home. It was much better tasting tonight. It was the attitude that got me. Just. Sorry. You’re out of luck. Valerie never came back with my friends coffee later… In the end she did deduct the $ 2.50 off our bill for coffee. The right thing to do would have been to comp my friends meal;-(. I didn’t get the $ 3 up charge for chewy GF Pasta and Valerie asked us to PLEASE try the restaurant again. She Promised to make it better next time. Why not make it right the 1st time??? My food was great tasting. My husbands Pasta great as well but not too sure I will be going back anytime soon… Who knows what other moldy ingredients are lurking behind the kitchen door??? The Music was So Freaking Loud you could barely have a conversation? Mid Afternoon on a Weekday? Of well. Better luck next time…

queso makes the pizzo this is now the second time ive had a chance to try the pizza. it’s right up there with some of the best in the hood the cheese is fresh and layered with generous proportions they are liberal with the toppings and the traditional crust is a perfect thickness *only suggestion would be to find a way to crisp up crust ps-the staff is very friendly and very inviting pps-monday offers discounted food. half off, beat that deal for good dining. not easy

One of my favorite places in the Chicago area. Great location, great owners, great food, great drinks. I have trouble ordering anything beyond the Baked Sausage Piasano as that is so good. Italian comfort food at its best.

I have only ever eaten here once. However, we order pizza here some times as often as once or twice a week. I am not kidding when I say I have never had a bad pizza here. We usually stick to Staples like pepperoni, sausage, or the Salerno’s special. I got adventurous and decided to try the Hawaiian pizza. Mind you, I am always SUPER cautious ordering this style of pizza. You rarely find a place that makes it juuuust right. Evviva nailed it. I have ordered it twice since, and its great. Pickup around back is in easy. Parking is usually a breeze. Good food, the staff is super fun if I come too early to pick up my stuff. They will kick back and chat with me between tasks. I would recommend evviva every time to everyone I know. This is a nice local spot in Lisle.

I’m also new to the area, and prefer local taverns to the more trendy bars in Naperville, etc. Have spent time here after work sipping a cold beer, maybe a glass of wine. I have not noticed the lack of service other reviewers have experienced. Perhaps the manager is cracking the whip more often but most of the girls seem to hustle quite a bit. Everyone is friendly, music not too loud, plenty of TV’s to watch, local clientele who engage you in conversation. All good. The only thing that kept me from offering 5 stars was the experience with the pizza. First time I ordered it, I got the traditional crust. The crust was too hard, chewy, and not easy to cut with the side of a fork. That’s not my thing, but otherwise the ingredients were fresh, the pie was crafted reasonably well, and while it wasn’t unique in any way it was okay for a local tavern. 2nd time I ordered it(can you tell I like pizza?) I ordered the ‘thin’ crust, and basically got almost the exact same crust. Hard, chewy, and it didn’t seem any thinner than the first one. A good pizza place has strict regimens for creating their food, and the quality control here is a little out of whack. Otherwise the pizza was good, not great. Typical ingredients but nothing extraordinary. Go ahead and order it; the grandkids will totally like it! I can’t comment on the rest of the food at this point. Suffice it to say the place is almost always busy and the kitchen is working overtime trying to keep up, a good sign of satisfied customers since it’s a destination and not a place you’d wander into. Bön appetit!

Came here for lunch with a friend a while back. Initial impression: parking is street, and there are a million doors on the building but the actual entrance was not clearly market, or maybe we were having a serious blonde moment, but we seriously walked around the whole building once before it was clear where the front door was. Ha! Anyway. I ordered the gluten free pizza. Anyone who eats gluten free knows that pizza kind of becomes just a shadow of a memory, and GF versions are usually just shades of tolerable. HOWEVER, this was excellent. I actually became suspicious that they were lying to me and giving me non-GF pizza, it was so good. Nope, no getting sick. It’s GOOD. Flaky, flavorful. More like what I remember real pizza tasting like. I need to get back there one day. High recommend.

It was so nice to sit outside here on a summer evening. I was surprised at the quick service and being able to find a table on a Friday night during dinner hour. We shared the nachos that are served with waffle fries instead of chips and the pulled pork nachos. So tasty! I can’t wait to go back!

Stopped in with my family on a Friday night for pizza before heading to a local festival. We sat outside on the patio. The train station is directly across the street, so if you have little ones, it’s perfect entertainment, but if you’re going for a more intimate setting, sit inside. Eviva is in the heart of Lisle, and being right by the train station, there’s lots of street and foot traffic. I had to go inside to get menus and to alert staff we were there. Service was a bit slow, but it was 6:30p and business was starting to pick up, especially near the bar. They had great drink specials. We chose the $ 2 light drafts, but they also had $ 5 domestic IPAs and $ 4 Bacardi you-call-its. We picked a large pizza with traditional crust. You can also choose a thin or even an extra thin crust. The pizza took about 20 minutes and it was just enough to feed 2 adults and 2 very hungry preschoolers(who have large appetites). When it was time to leave, it took longer than we anticipated to receive our check to get where we needed to go. But our server was sweet and apologetic. Will we be back here? Absolutely! It’s a great place to go within our small community to see friends and neighbors and to meet new people as well!

Has been spot when visiting Lisle for old Style and pizza. Good sauce and offer gf, but downgrading to 3 stars– average. To keep the 4s — stay inside and with pizza and beer. Lunch missed the mark as service was very slow and sandwiches were cold.

I recently moved to the area and was looking for good pizza. I was disappointed when I couldn’t find anything. Then my fiancé finally remembered Evvivas. He said he had been there back in the day and it was good. I said ok as I was willing to finally get good pizza. The food was amazing. We had a pizza which was gooey and cheesy. The crust was traditional which was a pan pizza I think. So good. No complaints at all. The place is small. We got a table right away. But the place quickly filled up. The drinks were cold. I and 100% going back.

I heard great things about this bar/restaurant so we tried it on Friday night. We wanted to sit on the patio so we sat down and asked a server if we could sit anywhere. The sever said«yea I’ll find a a server»…then we sat there for 10 minutes and never saw a server. We thought about leaving but still wanted pizza so we decided to try a table inside. We found two seats available at the bar. The bartender served the beer and we placed an order for a pizza. We really enjoyed the Evviva Pizza. It was hot and full of flavor. Overall– food was great but the service was only ok. I think I would order the pizza to go next time.

If you like Pizza– check this place out! The girls servers are friendly and the service is pretty good! We are doing an Absolut Vodka promo tonight, but I have been here before for Pizza night! Live band sometimes and the patio is a nice size. Street parking isn’t the best.

I’ve been here a couple times over the years and enjoyed their by the slice pizza at the annual block party more than food inside the restaurant. It’s decent, but is a bar with tables jammed together that is really loud, which is a combination of bad acoustics(open joist space) and patrons yelling over each other. Music came and went, then a Hawks game came on and no game or music, so we were entertained by «fascinating» conversations of our fellow patrons on all sides of us. Food was just o.k. I had a burger with blue cheese crumbles and a side salad which came 5 minutes after my burger. My wife’s entrée salad was just o.k. as well. The toasted ravioli appetizer was not worth the money or calories. The filling was not good or flavorful at all. We’ve tried to go occasionally through the years, but there is usually a wait to get a table and no where to sit to wait. It’s a bar that happens to serve food, and that’s fine.

I was here the day this bar opened and have been a patron ever since. That said, I have experienced the ups and downs, and feel confident in my 4-stars. A number of reasons I can’t give a 5, but the #1 is the inconsistent customer service. Sometimes it is spot on and above; other times it is deplorable– just depends on the luck(or, unluck as the case may be) of the draw. Generally, the bartenders are highly skilled, but the floor staff is young and lacking. That aside, the food here is great. Highly recommend the pizza(especially Italian beef and giardiniera) and almost all of the appetizers. Burgers are decent and so are the rest of the sandwiches. The weekday specials can’t be beat, and the location right off the train makes Pazzos, n/k/a Evvivas, a must-try. Ask for Katie V. as your server, Jen(friendly blonde) or Camille(doe-eyed brunette) as your bartender, and if Rob the manager/owner is in, say hi and tell him how much you are enjoying yourself

After seeing this place featured on Chicago’s Best, we knew we had to come try the Evviva pizza(chicken, bacon, artichokes, and olives). So after a frustrating morning of shopping we stopped in. For drinks, we weren’t in the mood for beer so we chose Bloody Mary’s. They are 25 ounces, and are $ 9 with $ 7 refills; I can dig that. On Sundays they have a «Build your own Bloody Mary Bar» but our server never elaborated when we placed our drink order. After deciding to skip appetizers, we ordered a large Evviva pizza and waited anxiously to taste deliciousness. The inside of Evviva is your typical sports bar– multiple flat screen t.v.‘s, a Touch Tunes music player, and a combo of both low and high-top tables. It obviously is decorated for Christmas with lights strung around the ventilation system and mini Christmas trees hung upside down from the ceiling. The Bloody Mary’s are very spicy, which is awesome. Between the pizza and the Bloody’s(I had two) I left with a serious case of heartburn, which is was fine with me. It was well worth it. The Evviva pizza was phenomenal. Who knew artichokes would go so well on a pizza? And of course, you can’t beat black olives and bacon. The chicken was exceptional; the flavor was so good. I don’t know what they seasoned it with, but it was very tasty. The pizza crust itself is like nothing I’ve ever experienced. Crispy, but not too crispy and chewy but not too chewy. For a Sunday, it was fairly quiet(we arrived at noon when they opened) but our service was a bit spotty. It wasn’t a huge issue, as we were in no hurry. I can imagine during peak times it can be frustrating. Today was an enjoyable experience between a small crowd(less than 15 patrons), football games, and country music(my fave) playing throughout the speakers. Regardless, we will be back. In the bf’s words«any place with awesome pizza and 25 oz Bloody’s is okay in my book.»
