These guys are friendly, prompt, attentive and produce quality pizza. But as with any franchise, it’s the people behind the counter and this staff ROCKS!

While the employees are courteous and helpful, the delivery time on Fridays can be a bit ridiculous. I waited over an hour for my pizza, and upon calling to check the status, the pizza had been ready, but the driver was so overwhelmed with deliveries, my pizza was still not out the door. I offered to pick it up and they said that would definitely be fine, while apologizing profusely for the inconvenience. The pizza I received was still delicious and I have ordered other times with no issue. Just plan accordingly when ordering on Friday nights, as their staffing does not seem to be adequate for the influx of family«pizza nights».

My driver, who was 25 min late, delivered a burnt pizza. My husband refused to order anything but breadsticks from them since their pizza is usually terrible. Order at your own risk!

This location is the worst papa John’s I have been to. The employee was rude on the phone as well as in the store and the pizza was not as well made as the other locations. I had the garden fresh pizza and barely had any veggies on it. I have had the same pizza at other papa johns locations and it tastes so much better. Will not be back!

Just got my order in like 15 – 20 mins pretty fast for pizza. The driver called as I put down on the comment box to call me since our building is locked and he recited all of which I ordered nice cool guy. Good service.

Just ordered 2 pizza’s online from this location. When I got home and opened the box I found the pizza’s to be of very poor quality. The toppings were skimpy, the crust tasted like cardboard, the pizza was over cooked and dried out. It seems like to owner is more concerned about his profit margin then his customers. I tried to use a certificate and the guy at the cash register said they wouldn’t accept these certificates for online orders because the pizza’s I bought were specials. I would need to buy something at regular price. Like that should matter and besides if I wanted to spend $ 18 on a pizza, I would go to Giordano’s and buy a real pizza!

We dont really like Papa Johns pizza but it is convenient and fairly inexpensive, so when our son had several friends over and it was dinner time… pizza is always the best solution. We ordered 3 pizzas for delivery an we were blown away how fast they came. It was only about 20 – 25 minutes later. The pizzas were hot and tasted better than usual. We tried their Parmesan chicken pizza and it was fantastic. The chicken they use was lightly breaded and was very tasty. Would definitely try that one again.

I love this place! I went there two weeks ago. and the people that work there are so friendly and accommodating! I called and ordered a pizza form work… but about an hour in. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to make it in to pick it up. Instead of delivering me an hour old pizza. the manager called back and said they would make me a new pizza. which would take a couple minutes and deliver it right away. awesome customer service! Thanks PJs!

Oh, PJ’s, why must you mess with my emotions? I’m a die-hard Papa John’s fan. In fact, I basically lived on PJ’s and cheap beer in college. I love the Papa Points rewards program and the awesome specials that they offer every day of the week. HOWEVER — I do not love this PJ’s. It seems like I run into a problem every time I order their pie. The biggest issue is that they almost always forget to include the sauce that I pay for(I’m a big fan of the garlic sauce and typically get 3 – 4 extras). The past three times I’ve ordered from this location, they’ve either forgotten the sauce completely(twice) or shorted me on sauce(once). I wouldn’t be so ticked off if I wasn’t paying 75 cents for each little sauce cup. I had high hopes that this would stop with the new management they’re advertising, but I had the same problem just this past Sunday — no sauces. Seriously? Luckily, I got takeout and checked it before I left the store. How hard is it to check my order and make sure that everything I’ve paid for is in there? I’m baffled at how they can screw this up so consistently.

Initially, I planned on writing this review and giving this business 1 or 2 stars. HOWEVER, the owner/manager was responsive to our complaint. I hope for his sake, this was a learning experience and it won’t happen again to someone else. Plus, the pizza was really good — a few guests complemented it and asked where we got it from. This order was for my daughter’s birthday party being attended by 22 toddlers and 28 adults. I ordered 12 large pizza’s the day before that was being held for only 2 hours at a venue in Lisle. The party venue was only a couple of blocks, at most, away from Papa John’s. The kids were set to play a 3pm for one hour and then head to the party room at 4pm for pizza, cake and games. We had to be out of the place at 5pm sharp or get charged late fees($ 80 per hour). At 4:10, when we still didn’t have the pizza and the kids(all 22 toddlers) were patiently sitting at their tables waiting to eat, my husband called the store. When my husband reached someone, they said they had been trying to reach me on my cell phone for the last half hour! Being that I was running around chasing kids… I didn’t look at my cell phone in my purse. They stated that their ovens broke and they have been trying to reach me since 3:45. Now here is where I would make a couple of recommendations to the manager/owner for future situations like this. #1 — if they needed to get a hold of me and couldn’t…call the venue I am at and have me paged like the good ‘ol days before cell phones. #2 — take 5 minutes and DRIVE to the venue that was 2 blocks away to notify me. The fair thing for the business to have done would be to have located me using one of the two above suggestions so that I had ample time to order alternate pizza like from Dominoes across the street. It seems they were being a bit selfish to keep the business, despite how late. At 4:10 when my husband was talking to the pizza place, they said they had 6 pizza’s done and they would be right over with them. Thus we had all the parents and kids sitting at the tables waiting. At 4:30 the kids could no longer sit still and people looked extremely bored(not fair to my kid or her guests)…so we moved up the games and attempted to get the kids pumped to play them. But the kids were just not into it and dragging because they were hungry. The six pizza’s never arrived as promised earlier. Instead, the delivery guy came in at 4:45 with the whole order of 12 pizzas! About 25% of my guests had to leave at 4:45 and didn’t get to eat pizza(or cake!) And everyone else had to guzzle down what they could in 5 minutes so we had time to sing happy birthday and eat cake. To make matters worse, I had called at noon to confirm the order and to request that 4 of the pizza’s be cut into squares for the toddlers. And that wasn’t even done. So kids who may have normally only eaten 1 square of pizza had to have a full adult-size pie piece on their plate… thus half the piece ended up in the garbage. It was just a disaster all around. People hungry at a party is not a pretty picture. But when the people are kids, it is worse. They are supposed to have fun and be relaxed. And because we had to rush to be out at 5pm, my daughter did not get to open her gifts in front of her guests. This was a royal mess created by Papa John’s …they needed a fire under their butt in a major way considering this was only a 2 hour party at a venue(not at someone’s home). After the party, I expected a phone call that evening from the owner/manager to apologize at a minimum on my home and cell #‘s(these were the numbers the owner called at 3:45…so I know he had my numbers). When I heard nothing from him by the next day, my husband went out there. The owner was not there but the girl called the manager on the phone and relayed a message that he was sorry. My husband explained all the details of the birthday party and how it was ruined and pizza wasted. He offered only 4 free pizzas. My husband said we wanted a refund for the pizza’s that went to waste because people had left by the time the pizza was delivered and we only had less than 10 minutes to eat them. He said he’d call the next day. He said he couldn’t give a credit card credit– –my husband said cash works. He said on Monday he’d call his corporate office and get approval to mail a check for half($ 60). We got that check this week. So he ended up making good on his word and was polite through the process. To sum it up… the pizza is good. Would I order 1 – 2 pizza’s from them in the future? Possibly. I would NEVER use them again for a large order of multiple pizza’s.

First of all– I love Papa John’s. I know that this is not gourmet pizza, but every time I have ordered here — it was a soggy mess. I didn’t think it was possible to mess up a cookie cutter recipe.
