Via Moda

Lisa is awesome! My hair needed some TLC, and she came to the rescue with a new cut and style and wonderful color (not that I color my hair)
The salon is very comfortable, light and airy an open feel.
She is located above Eviva, a great restaurant. I enjoy meeting my husband there after my cut.
Fran at the front desk is very detailed and a terrific addition to the salon.

$ 26.00 for a mens cut. Place is not like it used to be. Seems all the good stylists left. Should have gone to great clips, and that’s saying a lot.

I went in for a last minute color correction service as a new client. I had an appointment with Amanda. She put highlights and lowlights in my hair and understood exactly what I was looking for. I walked out a very happy customer and will definitely return again.

I used to go here to get my hair cut before moving out of state. I got my hair cut by a girl with shortish hair. Can’t remember her name. She was really nice and never asked me annoying personal questions like some hair stylists do. Nice haircuts. She never wasted my time and got me in fast without waiting much. Nice receptionists. I wish they had more extended hours. Sometimes I had to rush from work to get there, but that’s about the only downside. Pricing is much better here than their competitor down the street that I used to go to before I knew better. They even give you a punch card so after a certain amount of haircuts, you get a deal. At least that’s how it was when I used to go there. By the way, never any parking issues. There’s a huge, practically empty parking lot next door. It always has free spots.

I felt it necessary to update my review because Rene is no longer with the salon. Helena is the facial /​brow lady and she is also amazing! She waxes and actually dyes my brows so they appear a little thicker. Then she gives me a heavenly facial. She is a sweetheart, has many years of experience and does a great job!
I’m still seeing Kathleen for my hair too. Can I just say, my hair has really never looked better! It is so long and healthy now I sometimes seriously do a double-​take and I am like (to myself), «I cannot believe how my hair has done a complete turn-​around!»
Carrie –who is at the front desk on Saturdays –is also a total sweetheart. This is a really unique place. I feel like it’s family. It’s a really nice place but everyone is so friggin’ down to earth. I’m actually going to start getting a pedicure too on my next «day of beauty» and I’ll update who performs the service.
I drive all the way from the north side (Rogers Park) to Lisle if that says anything. I’m a big believer that if you find good people, it’s worth the drive!

My bridesmaid morning began with pump it up music from Via Moda! Upon driving up and finding a street parking spot right in front of the salon I was hit in the face with a blast of Britney Spears «Baby One More Time» and my mood quickly brightened as I knew it was going to be a fantastic day. The personalities of the Via Moda ladies matched the upbeat music and were a blast to work with.
Me and two other bridesmaids requested hair styles half up. All turned out beautiful and I LOVED how my hair turned out. The owner, sorry forget the name braided, curled, teased and pinned my hair into a sophisticated, yet sexy look. I have thin hair so the stylist suggested she do spiral curls because they tend to hold up better. Not even 3 hours of jiving and hip twisting to «you make me wanna shout» and «great balls of fire» could mess up my perfect do.
I had a wonderful experience with the women at Via Moda and will definitely be giving them a ring for the next fancy event I attend.

LOVE Via Moda. Lisa has done my hair for years and I love it everytime. Great color and understands my frizzy, curly hair and how to tame it. Recently went to Dana because I had a busy schedule and Lisa was full and Dana did a wonderful job as well. Genni did all of my updos for dances in high school and I was always ecstatic with the result.
You can order up food or drinks from the restaurant below too during your appointment! Would definitely recommend!

Great neighborhood salon. Attentive service; I’ve never been kept waiting. Rene is great — quick and painless eyebrow waxing. I see Shannon for haircuts and highlights; again, great service and attention.
The only negative: parking can be difficult. Located above an eatery, there is limited parking behind the building. Arrive a few minutes early …

I have had a few questionable haircuts here and when they accidentally charged my credit card twice, I was given a major run-​around by the manager/​owner. I was never refunded the money either. I was constantly told,“we will call you back.” Nice way to do business.
I would not recommend this place. It’s too bad because I would have been a loyal customer.

The only service I’ve had done at Via Moda is eyebrow waxing, and I make my appointments with Vieve. She is very friendly and it’s always a pleasure going in there. The front desk staff is super friendly as well. This isn’t a spa/​salon where you go in, get asked what products you use followed by a sales pitch. I’d like to visit Via Moda for other services — they pair up with Evviva and have Martinis & Manicures and cute things like that.

Went to get pink hair extensions for breast cancer awareness and will definitely go back for all my future hair needs! Lisa was fabulous and even spent time talking to my daughter about her interest in doing hair :)

I was looking for a place to make a quick appointment for a Pink Hair for Hope extension. (Not all places charge the same price, I found.)
Via Moda was able to fit me in, less than 24 hours from when I called. I made note to go early due to the parking advice but on the weekend the train lot was pretty open. The staff was friendly and kind but had double booked the timeslot. (It was fine but honestly, it was a 20 minute wait because it was a party of 3 before me.)
They are a convenient location and if I wasn’t sold on Niki Moon, I’d probably make my next appt. with them.

I went to Via Moda to get my hair done for a wedding. LOVED IT! Both the place and my hair. I was with Genni, who could not have been nicer and started on my hair when I was early. Everyone in the salon, both clients and stylists, were super-​friendly. Pricing was wonderful, parking was a breeze (though I could see how it might be a problem if you go during a weekday when the Metra commuters are in full force – Via Moda is right across from the Lisle station), and I was happy as could be! I think I found my new go-​to salon!

I have to update my review based on more positives about this place.
1) Everyone there is very friendly and social. I have gone to places where the other stylists interupt my visit without even acknowledging my prescence. Not so at Via Moda! Everyone is personable, accomodating, and helpful.
2) Parking was totally fine today! Maybe I came on an off day before.
3) They now have a spa are with a massage therapist. Cha-​ching!
