Hola Hola!!! Vicky who ever you are I want to marry you!!! This is hands down the most amazing Latin food this gringo has ever tasted. This is empanada Heaven! So light and crispy yet so flavor packed. I could eat a half dozen. Beef and cheese, chicken and cheese so many empanadas so little time! Tonight I tried the chicken tamales and I’m in pollo heaven right now. So tasty delish it got my mouth to watering from the very first yummy bite. A hardy plate of delicious rice and beans with plantains made me want to buy Vicky a diamond ring to make her mine!!! The pupusa were as good as it gets cheese, buttery and satisfying. Can’t wait to try more of the tasty dishes that come from my future wife’s Casa del Sabor!!!

I make it an effort to come here all the time now. And my 30 minute of driving on the southern state to here is completely worth it. Like when I tell you the empenadas are like a drug. Just try any. And I promise you will not be disappointed. And the prices are suuuper fair.

Everything positive that others have said about this place is spot on! We came to try it based upon other Unilocal reviews and an intense craving for Latin food, and we were not disappointed! The empanadas, tamales, pork, plaintains, and pastries were all incredible! Erik was extremely patient and helpful, and we left with 3 take-out menus(one for each car and the house) so we can order in advance at a moment’s notice. We will be back!!!

Family run business, good prices and great food. We catered 3 parties and all our guests loved the food and some even ordered from them for their parties. You should definitely try it, you won’t be disappointed!

This is a really good place out of nowhere, Family owned; husband and wife, they devote their energy and passion into the food they make. I go there once a week since I work nearby. One of the best food for the price ! Try their Choco banana empanadas and the menu over 12 $. I hope you guys do really well in business ! Wish you all the best

The food here is fantastic and very reasonably priced. If you have a large order or you are in a hurry I recommend calling ahead to place your order. You will be better off. They are also very accommodating. Try the pernil!!!

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. For weeks I’ve been craving a Cubano sandwich, and found this place on Unilocal.Let me tell you, this place didn’t disappoint. Even though I came in for a sandwich, I also walked away with a plate of roasted pork. Absolutely tender and delicious. This will definitely become my new spot.

The food is amazing! I love everything I’ve tried so far. I order from the steam table all the time and have yet to be disappointed. Vicky can also make suggestions if you aren’t sure of what dish you want. I found that mixing from the table is no problem at all, yes for the same price you can have a little bit of everything. I highly recommend this place. One downside they only take cash, I’ve had to drive by a few times because I didn’t have cash on me.

Opened in a former pizzaria, Vicky’s Casa Del Sabor is a delight with a it’s massive selection of empanadas and low low prices. They have a large selection of different spanish foods and everything tastes great. The downside is that they always take forever with their orders, sometimes 10 – 20 minutes over the time that was given over the phone. The place is also cash only, so be sure to either come in with bills in hand or you could hit up the ATM at the 7⁄11 next door. If you’re in the mood for some empanadas, come and give Vicky’s a try. You wont be disappointed.

First of all, food itself taste good, good portions, My husband and I were craving pupusas, chicharron(fried pork) with yuca but didn’t know where to order from, so as usual, I checked Unilocal and saw good reviews on this place. I ordered pupusas with pork and cheese, cheese only pupusas and fried pork, I was surprised to find out a Salvadorian place didn’t have fried yuca and sweet corn tamales, anyway I went to pick up my food but forgot to grab my cellphone and couldn’t take pictures to prove what I saw. OMG!!! This place looks dirty inside the kitchen, I think it used to be a pizzeria before since there is a big oven, the cash register is full of papers all over, it also looks like they sell sweet bread but it was out not inside the shelves, so far what I taste it was good but they really need to do some DEEPCLEANING and buy some gallons of paint to retouch the place, if I was able to noticed how dirty the kitchen was from were I was standing from just think how it really is inside??? I really hope they read my review and do some cleaning because it make me feel like calling Health Department.

First trip to vicky’s was awesome. It was our first time so we got an assorment of empanadas. Every single one of them was awesome. Plus we got rice beans and chicken easy enough as some places dont do that right but vickys does. The service was very good also as they labeled all the emanadas. I recommend trying it for yourself. The appearance is less than appealing but one of those little places that produce better food then the big restaurants. Cudos to Vickies !

Rice, beans, roasted pork, pupusas, tacos, plantains, and 525831 kinds of empanadas! This place is so good. They have a huge menu! It’s so delicious and cheap. For $ 12 you get enough food to feed a small army… and still have leftovers. The girl at the counter is the sweetest, nicest person ever. She always explains things to me if I’m not sure what to get and always gets the order 100% correct. You can call ahead and pick it up or you can eat it there. They have a couple of tables and she serves your meal on real dishes and you get real silverware just like at home. They also have pastries… tons of them! Cash only fyi!

Just ordered twenty empanadas by phone the other day. Ready in twenty minutes and delicious! I freeze them so I can give one to my toddler when he is looking for a tasty snack :) In my opinion, this place is the best restaurant in Lindenhurst.

I moved to Lindenhurst from Queens about a year ago. My boyfriend and I noticed Vicky’s while driving down Wellwood, and we thought we’d give it a try. We were so glad that we did. Everything is fresh and delicious. Vicky and Erik are really genuine, hard working, down to earth people that are always happy to see you come through the door. Whenever I go, if possible, I’ll try something new. My favorite things to get there are the super tacos, pasteles, and chorizo. My boyfriend loves the pernil, and we can never get enough of the chicharrón,(if we’re lucky enough for there to be any left when we get there!) If there’s something you’d like that isn’t out or on the menu, all you have to do is ask, and if possible/within reason, they will accommodate you. I’ve brought friends and they love it too. Vicky’s has become a neighborhood food staple for us, and just so you know, it’s so reasonably priced, you’ll feel as though you’re making out like a bandit. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you give them a try.
