Went here for the first time with my family. The food and service were both excellent. I would strongly recommend the seafood soup it is a meal itself and absolutely amazing.

A+++ food! We went to this place last night after, much like others, driving past this place a million times and commenting that we should try it. My husband isn’t into trying anything new and especially ethnic food but he truly loved the fruit shake, corona, and grilled chicken meal. I got the chicken platter(chicken soup, salad, white rice, beans, ¼ chicken and fries) which was oh so good plus the sangria! Everything including the service was fantastic. The place was mostly deserted with many people getting take out. I highly recommend the yummy food here!

This little place is AMAZING!!! We are otr drivers and eat out often. Very rarely do we find ourselves being served by such gracious people. And the food. Omg is it divine. My hubby got the breaded chicken breast with side salad, fries, beans and rice. The salad was all fresh ingredients and homemade pickled onions. The portion size was HUGE! I had the grilled chicken breast also served with salad, beans and rice and a sweet plantain. The chicken could be cut with a fork and was soooo juicy. We love this place and feel it was worth the tolls we paid just for the food and lovely people. We will definitely be returning in our personal vehicle sometime. How this place isn’t packed all the time is beyond me. People might not want to share this cute place but again, it’s worth your time and the prices are great.

I am not quote sure why this place is always so empty. Perhaps people don’t know it it here? maybe they do but are afraid to try Colombian food? maybe they’re not sure if it will be good? I’m here to tell you to forget about your reservations and go her, asap! FYI, Colombian food is food made in a Colombian style. Just like the food you’re used to only Colombian… see that was easy. We came here finally after me passing the place time and time again and saying that I have to get my ass in here. On a Saturday night at about 8:30 the place was pretty empty. only 4 other tables of people. Still the servers were friendly and polite and not in a rush to close the place and go home for the night. We were greeted promptly and given time to situate ourselves with our baby and look over the menu which is page after page of deliciousness.(seriously, if you can;t find something you like here you should never go out to eat again) I started off with a ice cold Aguila which again is just like the beer you’re used to, only Colombian. ;) The wife got a Sangria which she liked.(the baby stuck with milk) We got some empanadas as an appetizer and they were great. Corn based and fried to perfection. Then came a simple salad which was part of our entre and for mains I got the House special platter because I wanted to try different things and she got the skirt steak. Her steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well, My platter had a ¼ chicken that was nice and juicy, some steak which was similar to her skirt steak and a pounded out pork tenderloin that was really great. Top it off with a plantain and some rice and beans and I was a happy boy. We definitely enjoyed the whole experience and if you are looking for something different and want to try some great Colombian food, check this place out!

Thanks Unilocal! You helped me find another great restaurant while I was in the Babylon area. My husband and I came here last night and we were so happy. My husband had a mixed platter of steak, deep-fried pork, rice, beans, plantain and corn cake. I think it was called, «The Typical Platter», which is a funny name for us gringos but it was delicioso. I had the cerviche, which was also very good. I would definitely come back. The table next to us had the chicken soup and it smelled outrageous. It was very clean and the service was excellent. If I hadn’t been trying to watch my weight, I would have liked to have tried dessert. Perhaps next time. Oh, and the prices were very reasonable. A mixed platter of meat for 2 was like $ 23.95. And for all the food my husband got, it was a really good value($ 14.95). A lot of food and oh so tasty. Clean and good prices. It’s a winning combination for me! The food tasted very authentic and reminded me of vacation in Puerto Rico.

Came here with friends who live in the area for dinner. Very unassuming place from the outside but once you go in it’s an absolute delight! Place is clean and staff was very friendly. The food was fresh and delicious! I ordered the typical platter and the portions were huge! Pricing is very fair and on par with other Colombian restaurants in Queens. If your in the mood for Colombian food while your in the area, def check this place out! Place is top notch in my book! I will def be going back here when I’m in the area.

Very good Columbian restaurant in Lindenhurst. Unassuming looking on the outside but very nice on the inside, you’ll be greeted by a friendly host. We ordered fruit juices made with milk, raspberry and papaya. A bit heavy like a shake but very good and refreshing. Meal began with a chicken soup flavored with cilantro and had a lot of boiled chicken and potato in it. That alone nearly filled me up. Ordered the grilled chicken platter. The chicken was moist and not greasy, rice and beans accompanied along with very good fries. Best is the special platter with grilled chicken, shell steak, grilled pork, plantain, rice and beans. The shell steak was nicely seasoned and the grilled pork was absolutely delicious. For what you’re served, prices are very reasonable. A huge amount of food for two for $ 35! Service was very friendly as well. I recommend giving this place a try, it’s worth it.

If you are looking for authentic Latino food — you’ve found it! They have the best grilled«parillia» north of the border. Try the House plate — an amazing deal you — get a grilled¼ Chicken, pork and strip steak grilled to perfection with beans & rice; plantain; and house salad. The best staff will cook to order. Enjoy!

My partner and I ate here for the first time the other evening. Pleasant, accommodating staff and excellent Colombian food. The restaurant has a nice bar and the dining room is decorated authentically. Everything appeared spotless… including the bathrooms, which I always believe is a good judge of how clean the kitchen may be! Highly recommend!

Finally tried this place. Went last week specifically for rotisserie chicken, but they were sold out. Tried again tonight — called ahead, and got the last one. But it was DELICIOUS!!! I can see why they sell out! Really was hoping for yellow rice, but they don’t have it. But I’ll be back for more chicken!

I grew up in Corona Queens. I know and love Columbian food. This is the first time that I felt like I was back in Queens! This place is great. Quality food, nice atmosphere and great service. It is not overpriced either. What more could you want? I hope people spread the word about this place. They’ve been open about 7 months and I just found them. I will be very disappointed if this place was to ever close. Do not be fooled by the outside of the building. It is very nice inside. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Try this place. You will not regret it.

Since the restaurant opened, I have wanted to go but my boyfriend really had ZERO interest. But, last night, we finally went and both of us were glad we did! Atmosphere: Outside, the restaurant is nothing special. In fact, as we were eating, we were saying«they REALLY need to put some lights outside… maybe Christmas lights or a nice lit sign to draw attention to this place so people will want to try it… once they do, they will be back.» We want it to survive! If people(like my boyfriend) aren’t enticed by the thought of latin food, then they are going to just pass it by if it doesn’t look interesting. I wanted to go because of the type of food they served. Inside, it is SOCUTE! They did a GREAT job making it clean, bright and pretty. Food: I truly did not want the meal to end, it was so good. I had the arroz con pollo(chicken and rice), which came with chicken soup that was incredibly delicious… I added some of this«sauce»(for lack of a better description) they had put on the table and BAM… it had this heat and spice that just knocked my socks off. Delicious. The chicken and rice itself were so flavorful and yummy. Portions were huge and I took half my meal home and now I keep looking at the clock waiting for lunch so I can enjoy the meal all over again! My boyfriend got the house special and I tasted all of it. It consisted of a salad, steak, chicken, pork, rice, beans and a plantain. It was all really really good and seasoned perfectly… although we kept putting the sauces on everything just because they were there and we both love heat, neither meal even needed them. We also got dessert: I tired the Columbian milk pudding and my boyfriend got the figs and cheese(which also is served with caramel). Both were very good… I am used to desserts that are overly sweet and awful for you. So, I imagine if I weren’t used to American Desserts, these would have been amazing. Next time I am going to try the 3 milk cake. My boyfriend had a cup of Columbian coffee and enjoyed it. Prices: I thought they were really reasonable. It cost $ 52 with tax and tip for the above. I think it was about $ 12 for my meal and $ 20(maybe more?) for my boyfriend’s meal plus dessert and coffee. We drank water. Gotta amortize that $ 52 over 2 meals… as it is our lunch today. Service: EXCELLENT! They were extremely nice, answered all of our questions. Were attentive but didn’t hover. All in all a GREAT experience and I am so excited that the restaurant is located near us. I have never had«Columbian» food before and I know at least one of the reviews tore them apart for saying they serve good Columbian food. But, I go by flavor and don’t really care what they call it. All I know is that the flavors were complex, the service was great, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere was clean and adorable. It is difficult to find all those factors in one place… and those are the only places that get 5 stars from me… when ALL of the components that go into a great restaurant experience are there. And this place has it all.

My husband and I usually drive over 45 minutes away to get good Colombian food, so when this restaurant opened nearby we were excited to try it. Honestly, it does not disappoint. Each time we go, the food is perfectly cooked, the restaurant is clean and the staff is wonderful. The menu is offered in English and Spanish, which I think may be helpful for people who want to try it out but may fear not being able to pronounce the dishes. Anyhow, if you’re a fan of Colombian food make sure you don’t miss an opportunity to eat here!

We tried this place last night for the first time. Very satisfied. The portions were great for the reasonable price, the food was excellent. We had the mixed grille for two. It was very flavorful … delicious. Just the right amount of potatoes in the grille dish … and nice portions of pork, chicken, sausage and steak. The rice and beans rounded it out. Service was very good. The place looks real nice inside and out. We will definitely go back. Very enjoyable. It’s nice to have a good local place.

The food is AMAZING here! I’m originally from Queens where there are Colombian restaurants practically on every block. I grew up eating authentic Colombian food, and this is by far and away the very best I’ve ever had. The food is so fresh and flavorful. We’ve gotten take out several times since it opened a few weeks ago, and absolutely everything has been perfectly delicious. We’ve ordered the Steak in Sauce w/Egg, House Special Platter, Typical Platter, Skirt Steak, Grilled Pork Loin, Arepas, Chicharron, Fried Cassava, Tostones, Maduros, Corn Cakes, Empanadas, Rice and Beans… the list goes on and on. Everything was fabulous. My family craves it at least 2 – 3 a week! They offer generous portions at a reasonable price with quality ingredients. Very clean and well organized. And although they don’t advertise it, they’re Gluten Free friendly. I have Celiac disease and have eaten almost every grilled item on the menu with no problem. I cannot say enough great things about this place. I’m definitely a fan. It’s such a nice change from the hundreds of Pizza and Chinese take out places in the area. Please, do yourself a favor and get over there and get some of that delicious food. The staff is super friendly and, although it may not be PC to say, they speak perfect English, so there’s no worry about miscommunication regarding your order.
