Rum Thai Bistro is a beautifully decorated restaurant, once inside you forget that you are in a strip mall.
I love that they have a small menu, it is not overwhelming and it allows them to make excellent dishes no matter what you decide to order. Tonight was my third time eating here and we enjoyed the chicken satay (served with peanut sauce and cucumber sauce), fish cakes, Drunken noodles, and mixed vegetables with shrimp. Everything was delicious and the produce they use has great quality.
One of their points of difference is that they offer brown rice as an option. I LOVE BROWN RICE. This particular brown rice is amazing, it has great texture! You will have to try it for yourself to know exactly what i mean! I feel like I may have spent too much time talking about brown rice… o well.
The service here is great, everyone is very polite and attentive. This is a great place to go if you looking for a delicious lunch or dinner!

What a nice surprise! We found this place while driving thru Lincoln the other day and decided to stop for lunch. The starter salad had a nice, tangy dressing; the traditional Pad Thai was tasty as well as the Mixed Vegetables and Tofu. The dessert finish was a nice touch. The service was fast and the server was very friendly.

Beautifully decorated place for a nice Thai dinner at reasonable prices with good portions. Nice attention to detail such as orange infused water and other fine touches. Then add good service on top of all this made our father’s day (with free ice cream!) dining experience an excellent one. Highly recommend the Satay Gai (freshly grilled), Papaya salad, Tom Yum soup, and Pad Thai (add a touch of hot fish sauce).

This was my first time. I ordered a fish plate. It came with only 7 small pieces of fish, and alot of green peppers and onions. I ordered papaya salad it was ok. All the other dishes had about 7 small pieces. I was not impressed.

Great service, delicious authentic Thai food. Lots of fresh colorful veggies and doesn’t skimp on the protein. We loved it. We had a variety of items and they all had a unique flavor and complimented the others well. We will be back!

Called in an order for take out while we were just a few minutes away. Our food wasn’t ready yet when I got there so the nice woman working told me to have a seat and brought me ice water while I was waiting. Food came out quickly and was delicious! The eggplant dish is my favorite!

I was raised by my Aunt Yao from Thailand. She was an amazing cook and instilled in me the love for Thai food. This is one of the only Thai restaurants that make it as good as she did. Order the Thai Fried Rice with lime on the side and extra fish sauce. Enjoy! PS The review by Jason is so far off base, I think he was not even at the same place. Leather seats, very clean, bright colors on the food. Always flowers or other designs made from carrots, Etc. And the most personable & friendly wait staff you will ever have anywhere. Rocklin ain’t got a thing on Lincoln when it comes to Thai food!

Amazing Thai food from a hole in the wall that should be out of your way to get to.
Let me start off by saying this is authentic. Small menu that specializes in giving you the maximum amount of flavors from Thailand. I had the duck curry and it was one of the best dishes I sampled. The curry was not too spicy but fear not heat lovers, you can order anything you want as spicy as you want. Not only was the food fresh and hot as it arrives to your plate but it was also appealing and filling. No small portions here, just food packed with flavor.
The servers were nice and quickly starting making us laugh and giving us their recommendations, it honestly felt like a family get together with guests. Highly recommend and hope to see you there :]

I’ve only been here two or three times so far, I prefer to review after 5+ visits. The place seems to be on point with price and portion size. For the options in Lincoln, I think it’s a he’ll of a contender. I came in the first time for a to go order and wasn’t in a hurry so I sat to wait (ordered in to go) and the gentleman brought me a free appetizer and refilled a water glass two times in 8 minutes. Really good service for a to go order. I hope they stick around. Larb was authentic and delicious. Would be 4 stars, but they’re closed on the days I would most typically go.

Our visit to Rum Thai Bistro was top-​notch! Our friends, who go here on a weekly basis, introduced us to this wonderful Thai food restaurant. We think it’s the best Thai food in the state. Our service was excellent and all the dishes we ordered had such amazing flavors. Bonus — we had leftovers and they were equally amazing the next day, just reheated! I wish I could eat here everyday.

Delicious food, great service and lovely atmosphere! I will be coming back especially for their tapioca dessert!

We ordered from here one night out of curiosity and boredom. We didn’t know we were outside their delivery area, but they were kind enough to deliver to us regardless! But that aside, I was absolutely 100% pleased with the food. The fresh spring rolls are to die for and I can’t stress that enough! I also ordered the staple pad thai, and my husband had the yellow curry, all of which was well above expectations. I cannot wait to order from here again and I’ll be happy to pick it up myself.

This is probably one of the best restaurants that has recently joined our local Lincoln community! Unfortunately, it is rather hard to find in the Raley’s center but definitely worth your time to locate! Molly is so enthusiastic about her food and anxious to satisfy the most discriminating diner. Most of the dishes can be cooked from mild to spicy… vegetables are very fresh and retain their flavor & are not overcooked. Portions are reasonable and lunch entrees come with a crisp lettuce & carrot salad with a tasty peanut dressing & a complimentary dessert.
The restaurant is attractively decorated and spotless — a nice local wine list is a real plus! The crab/​cream cheese wonton appetizer is a speciality of Molly & is delicious. All stir fry dishes vie with some of the best Thai food I have had & don’t miss the Drunken Noodles!
Please visit Rum Thai — we need to assure this special gem is doing well — a splendid addition to the growing Lincoln restaurant scene!

By far the BEST Thai place I have been to in USA! Are #10 roasted curry Panang style for lunch. It was so fresh, so authentic and so yummy! Family owned serving authentic recipes! I am coming back with family soon. This place is. 10 Star. All lunch specials comes with salad and desert! Service is top notch and place is spotless. Loved it!

This is a good place to go if you live in the area and don’t feel like venturing into Roseville where there is a much tastier option with some menu options this location does not offer.
Everything was clean in general however they use chairs with fabric seat cushions that are filthy and unappealing. We found the food to be okay but lacking in the clean, fresh, vibrant flavors we have come to love at one of our favorite Thai food restaurants. The portions were a bit small as well. I don’t see us coming hear very often but again it is a good location for a quick fix.

Great Thai restaurant with good customer service. We had the spicy basil fried rice with beef and Red Curry with Chicken. We had our fried rice dish «Thai Hot» which is definitely not for the weak! If you can handle spice well, I definitely recommend it.
I would definitely recommend Rum Thai and have already eaten there twice this week!

Food is tasty, service is superb and the ambiance is great. I love the white table cloths. Nikki and Mali provided friendly and awesome service. Thai tea was one of the best teas I’ve had. The Thai beef salad had just the right amount of fish sauce perfectly blended with the fresh mint leaves giving it an amazing taste and texture I don’t like it when the fish sauce is overpowering the dish. Pad Thai was delicious. Coconut ice cream was mouth watering and of course the presentation was beautiful! Best Thai restaurant in the area!!!

I never really stopped by this place but recently decided to give it a try. Great small salad with peanut sauce, great service and a quiet quaint establishment with fantastic service! My son and I come here every week and we have tried a different item on the menu each time. We both really enjoy this place and the tapioca pudding at the end is a nice compliment to our great meals. The service is top notch and the staff makes you feel as part of their family!!!

Was in Lincoln on business today and wanted to bring my wife home some Thai as she had a rough day at work. Found this place on Unilocal and stopped in and placed a To Go order. Place was sparkling clean which I look for and love. Got to talk to owner while I waited for food and found out it is a Mom and Pop run eatery which I also love. Place was not to busy but they are just getting started out and I was in early. Very nice people and when I got home the food was super! If you live in Lincoln you need to go check this place out it had great ambiance and would be perfect for a quiet night out with your spouse on a date night. Order beef laarb, red curry chicken, wonton, fried shrimp, fried rice and beef mix meat with veggie. eggplant is really good in any of the combination.

This place had excellent food and very friendly staff. The young lady helping us was full of recommendations and the «pumpkin curry» was very tasty. She highly recommended it and said it wasn’t currently listed on the menu. We will definitely be going back.

Very good food. FAST service and fresh ingredients! We had the green curry chicken, and the pineapple shrimp fried rice. The steamed pot stickers were wonderful also! Lots of people coming in to get take out. Looks like a local favorite!

I came to order Pad Thai & Pad Kee Maw to go. Both are very delicious! I’m Thai and it’s so hard to find a good authentic Thai restaurant. Rum Thai is the one! Great service, delicious food and reasonable price with Hugh portion. Strongly recommended. :)

Pon was the epitome of gracious Thailand, even though so busy he walked to the door with me to open it as I left with a take out of my usual shrimp and veges in yellow curry. LOVE that Rum Thai is just 5 minutes from my house! Went back next night for the pad thai as it was highly recommended by a girl who was waiting for her take out too. Voila! It was so fresh and peanut sauce was sooooo spot on. So glad they are here. A spot of authentic Thailand right here in Lincoln. Sweet!

Nice small restaurant. Never busy but the food always delivers. I am in love with their pumpkin curry and satay. All the employees are very nice and attentive. Will keep coming back!

I’ve been coming here weekly for the past 5 weeks because it’s great! My only complaint is that they aren’t open on Sunday’s I’d probably be here on Sunday’s too! Great service and food! When I get my food to go they still provide a little treat while I wait. Salad and dessert are always given before and after an order when I eat in. The papaya salad is my favorite! Love this place!

Have been here one time and I got a Togo. While I waited the man that was working the front promptly gave me water and a snack while I waited. The snack was deep fried chips sort of, with a yummy dipping sauce! I got soul and papaya salad for my dinner. It all tasted very delicious! As I was leaving he also gave me a Thai iced tea on the house for waiting. (Even though it wasn’t that long of a wait.) so nice!

Here’s how my experience was at Rum Thai. I came for a late lunch. There was only one other diner. It was really warm in here. I almost walked out because it was, but the A/​C kicked on. They must have turned it on for me and the other diner because he had just walked in also. I ordered chicken pad Thai. I asked him to make it spicy which he did. Before my entrée came, he brought over a small salad with peanut dressing. That was quite good. My pad Thai was decent. The portion size is considerably smaller than what I get at the other Thai place in town. After I was done with my meal, my server brought over this warm tapioca pudding with bits of corn. It was a nice touch to end a quick lunch.
Overall, the food is better than the last Thai place that occupied this space. For now, I’m giving them three and a half stars. Although the food was good, didn’t feel as welcome, felt really awkward. I’m hoping to come back when it’s a bit busier and I can have a more hospitable experience.

Outstanding! My friends have been here many many times but it was the 1^st time for me. Excellent service and the food was fresh and delicious. Absolutely hands down the best wonton soup I’ve ever had! Will be back. Alot!

A gem tucked in Lincoln. Found that there was a Thai restaurant in the area and I had to try it.
Place is nice and quiet. I can around lunch and it was not crowded at all. I liked the fact that it was very clean and tidy. Quickly after being seated and given a drink I was also serviced with a complimentary salad.
I judge a Thai restaurant menu by its two items larb and pad ka pao. (Thai basil stir fry). I had the basil stir fry this time. I was caught off guard when they asked how I wanted the meat prepared. Because there are different ways to make it. It came out delicious, however the vegetables were a slight bit on the hardy side.
After my lunch meal I was served Another complementary dish. A Thai dessert called «nam wan». A warm tapioca dish with coconut dressing.
Overall a great experience and I recommend folks around the area to try this place.

This is real Thai food prepared by real Thai people :) most places around here make Americanized dishes that are overly sweet. This place is much more true to form. They have a pretty good selection of different dishes too. Very nice people, nice service as well.
