Karen’s Little Cafe

My wife and I have been here three times so far, and the service and food are superb. I have tried different omelettes usually with spinach, jalapeños and some cheese and one or Theo more ingredients. Best omelets I have tried yet. I would everyone in Lincoln to try this place out.

Super basic breakfast food. All I got was eggs, bacon and toast and was bummed I didn’t just make it at home. I couldn’t stop staring at all the dust under their countertops. Plus, they make you pay for refills. Child please.

Great Food and Great Service! My wife and I order food to go when we do not want to make breakfast and with the low price and amount food you get its a no brainier. We will continue to go to Karen’s!

Just tried this little gem out as I had some time to kill before an appointment. What an amazing family owned restaurant, the customer service and food was great! Wish I would have tried this place sooner but they certainly have a new loyal customer!

We came looking for breakfast burritos and got that and a whole lot more. This is a small place that is family owned and work hard to make you happy. Everything we ordered was great and the dishes that we saw around us looked good too. I’m glad to have this place just around the corner

Great breakfast, the bacon is SOOO yummy! Seems to not be crazy busy on the weekends, love that!

Worst little dive my husband and I have ever eaten. Both had hamburgers but different kinds and we both hated them. Very greasy and bland… plus the waitress was very rude and seemed like we were an inconvenience. Never going back.

The food was very good, especially the bacon! I ordered the «French kiss» which came with two pieces of French toast, two eggs, and two pieces of HUGE bacon! The only thing that was wrong, was the food wasn’t really «hot» it was more so warm… Other then that, the food was good for the price! I defiantly will be going back to try their lunch and maybe even get some coffee next time!

My husband and I love going to Karens Little Café. We drive quite a ways, just to eat here with family. We seem to order the same thing each time, the Philly cheesesteak and fries. Delicious! We have tried other items which were also great! The owners are very thoughtful and nice. Thank you KLC for always having a smiling face when we walk thru the door. Everyone needs to give this café a try. You will fall in love with it, like we have.

Inside seems a little like a cafeteria I also thought you ordered at the counter. The menu has many choices. I had a hard time choosing. I had an omelet it was yummy. Maybe a little to much oil on the veggies inside the omelet but other then that is was tasty. There was so much food I could not eat it all. Cute little place nestled back in a residential area. Would definitely go back.

We stopped in for breakfast a couple weeks. They have a big menu with lots of options.
The place is pretty clean and our waitress was nice.
The omelette I ordered was really small. It wasnt that good.
My wife enjoyed her french toast and her eggs were cooked right.
The prices are ok.
It is fine for a non fancy quick meal…

Staying in the Lincoln area, I stopped in for breakfast and loved it! Corn beef hash and eggs were excellent, and the chocolate mocha was almost a work of art! Good service and personable staff– only gripe is that it’s pretty far off the beaten path if you’re passing through on 65

I have breakfast here and it’s good, but it’s breakfast and doesn’t really blow me away. It can be a little slow but service is always nice. I usually take my girls if I don’t feel like cooking. It’s a nice change of pace with a local feel.
Update– just went again with all 4 of my girls. I think it’s just a slower moving restaurant. I’d guess 20+ minutes to get a waffle and pancakes. I could have run to the tower mart, bought the ingredients and made it quicker at home. I was also looking at the bottom of my coffee cup a bunch.
Really nice service, but it’s just not at the pace I need for family to eat.
If I was going to meet a buddy and hang out and sip coffee, this might work. Even then– I’d notice the length of time to get food.
It’s really convenient for me and I want local to work– I’ll probably give it one more try.

Wow, order the Philly Cheese Steak! My wife and I ordered one to split (it is HUGE) and I had to guard my half while eating the fries. The bacon cheeseburger is quite good as well.
This was our first time here and we will return.

Pretty terrible actually and holy crap was the service slow! The seats were only half filled and we still waited 40 minutes for our food. My coffee remained empty for that time. When the food finally arrived it was cold and not worth eating. Others were not as patient as us as we noticed their group leaving due to the slow service.

We’ve tried them 4 times. We only live a mile away, so it would be a great place for us. Unfortunately, the food is ho-​hum and the service is a little slow.
On the minus side, my cheeseburger wasn’t cooked right (too pink in the middle). With the breakfasts we’ve had, the hash browns were marginal at best, the «over medium» eggs were runny, and the belgian waffle was too chewy. My wife is the coffee drinker in our house, and she said her coffee was terrible. The server said it was organic. On one of our visits during the day, some piece of machinery (the air conditioning system maybe?) was VERY loud.
On the plus side, their french fries have always been fresh and hot. They know how to cook bacon (you know, not burned on one end and raw on the other like a lot of places), and we had no complaint with the portion sizes.
Not likely to go there again unless we’re just too lazy to drive further.

The hotdog I ordered needed to be toasted… Now that I got that out of the way, I still enjoyed it, and the Americano was delicious.
Owner is really friendly and the customer service is great. A lot to choose from on the menu, which is great. Will try the eggs benedict next time.

Went here for breakfast. Very cute mom and pop type of place. GREAT service and AAAAAMAZING food.
Very home style. My Wife got French toast and I got the Karen scramble. Everything was very fresh and tasty.
My wife got the soy sausage and they were delicious.
We also each tried an espresso drink and we were really impressed! It’s nice to have a local coffee house without it being a Starbucks.
Cool mugs haha.
