This place is great! We split a steak and chicken combination fajita. Delicious! Plentiful! The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The grilled onions, peppers, and tomatoes were delightful. Our waiter was perfect… very nice, got items before asking, very friendly. Prices are not bad at all! The food is fresh.

The food here is mediocre good in a pinch. The problem is if you go in with a pretty women(15&up) the whole staff constantly is staring at her. Including walking by for no reason and the cooks even come out of the kitchen to gawk non stop. With that being said the other location on Cable rd. Is much more professional and the food quality is much better.

Food was good and reasonable price. Good flavors. Rice and beans were good. Margaritas didn’t have much tequila at all. That part was disappointing. Plenty of food to choose from

La Charreada is good, local mexican food. They’ve got very good Guacamole and the prices are fairly low. Great for groups.

I’ve grown up eating Mexican food and this place just doesn’t cut it. Feel sorry for Lima. The waiter we had must’ve been in a bad mood because the scowl never left his face and after our food came out he disappeared, no refills, no asking how our food was, nothing. Oh and the food, good Lord. Bland doesn’t even begin to describe it.

We went here over the Labor Day weekend. When I visit new Mexican restaurants, I usually start things out by asking about their guacamole(to see if it’s authentic or from a mix) then order it. For me, that usually dictates how the dinner is going to be. It was decent, so I was looking forward to the dinner itself. I ordered their California Burrito with Carne Asada. Not sure what part of Mexico the chefs were from, but I’m not used to having my Carne Asada served with a sauce(and I don’t mean a tomatillo sauce either). I’m used to it being marinated, grilled, sliced and served. Not this time… The sauce wasn’t very good, the meat had little flavor and there wasn’t much of it in the burrito. Oh well. I was in Lima, OH… At least the margaritas were good. They made everything better.

This place is probably one of my favorites in Lima. The service is alright, the food is almost authentic. I personally love the pork in green salsa with rice and tortillas. I like to stick with one thing that I know I’ll like. My boyfriend is a little more adventurous. The first time we came here he got a seafood chimi type deal that wasn’t bad. The next time he got fish tacos which were pretty bad being bland and inadequate. And another time he got the chorri chicken with chorizo which was pretty darn good. We would come back.

Good chips and salsa. Good lunch combinations. Good service. Nothing to make it great… just consistently good. Accepts credit cards. Close to I-75. Large inside and out.

Their Wine and beer selection negligible; however, in Lima, Sam Adams is considered sophisticated(which they did not serve). They had, I think, 5 wines, one of which was sangria. Their salsa tastes heavily of onions. I ordered taco salad; the meat was bland and had a mushy texture. The service was good. And, the floor plan is designed to accommodate large parties, a feature that is difficult to find in most other restaurants.

Maybe my standards are too high, but I really wasn’t impressed with this place. Service was just alright, the guy seemed like he had much better things to do than wait on us and he tried to deliver someone else’s food to us 3 different times. When my husband ordered a margarita, he asked for them to use a higher quality tequila. The server apparently didn’t understand him because he kept telling my husband that it wasn’t possible to do that because it would cost over $ 20 for the margarita. He kept mentioning something about too many shots. My husband finally gave up and took the house margarita. My husband seemed to like his fajitas, but my brother-in-law only ate about half of his super burrito(it definitely wasn’t because it was too much food!). My flautas had dried out, tough meat and the ends were severely burned. When food says it comes with sour cream and guacamole, don’t get too excited about getting a decent quantity… all of us got about a tablespoon of each. Very stingy with their condiments! It isn’t the cleanest place either! The hot sauce bottles that sit on the tables were sticky and crusty. The silverware was spotty, the table was slimy and the bathroom was disgusting. Thank God we don’t live here, but if we ever want Mexican food in Lima again, we’ll go elsewhere!

Back in the day before Ada had it’s own Mexican restaurant, Lacharreda was THE(only) place to go for Mexican. The food is pretty good, and they are flexible with making orders vegetarian. The margaritas are also very tasty, and a great deal if you split a pitcher with friends. The service: hit or miss. Sometimes you have your food before you can eat a third tortilla chip, other times you are so full on chips you aren’t even hungry for dinner by the time it finally arrives! Worth the drive to Lima!

I’m a naitive Texan and this hits the spot; for middle of nowhere Lima, OH. The Dos Equis was served in a chilled mug with lime – immediately. Chips and salsa were fresh, though the salsa was tasty, not much kick to it; still very flavorful. I ordered the enchilladas. Not as much«cheese» as you usually get at a typical Mexican restaurant, but that was refreshing. I enjoyed the guacamole – well the first half of the order – the second half was solid avacado – fortunately, I’m a HUGE fan of avacado AND this solidified the fact that it was made fresh to order just for me! A second Dos Equis arrived, again very promptly. Overall, I enjoyed the food. I would have given 4 stars, but the waiter disappeared for a long long long time after I finished my meal and beer, so the service was initially great, but the follow through was a Lot lacking. I stuffed my debit card back in my wallet, shelled out the cash and dashed away(don’t worry, I still left 18%!). :) Pretty good for Lima!

Relatively authentic mexican food for Lima, OH. The menu is full of different options and a huge bonus that there is are a variety of mexican beers outside of corona and dos equis. Would totally recommend this for groups and people who appreciate good mexican food. You will most likely not leave here hungry with the amount of food they give ya.

This is hands down my favorite Mexican place in Lima. Though moving to the Southwest has refined my Mexican palate somewhat, I still think this place delivers a tasty survey of the genre’s offerings. Service has always been great and their waiters always tipped me great whenever I delivered pizza to them.
