Very authentic place! I’m always hesitant of coming to places like these because most of the time I’m the only non Hispanic one in the restaurant! But it’s so worth it. The workers are really nice and understand if you don’t get half of the menu. Luckily I knew what I wanted, which was the chamayoda and fruit drinks! Both are so good.

I came here to try the carne asada tacos. I’ve tried authentic street style asada tacos at several taquerias and this restaurant has one of the better ones. The meat is soft, tender, and plenty for the 5 inch tortilla. They also sprinkle a generous amount of onion and cilantro. I also tried the fruta picada and it was delicious. They serve it in a large smoothie cup with a dome-shaped lid. Inside, there’s an abundance of mixed fruit(mangoes, pineapple, honey dew, cantaloupe) drizzled with lime and chili syrup. The customer service was good and the food came out quickly. The downside: meat was a little too salty, and dripping with grease.

Meck! I really wanted to like this place. The tacos were alright. I do not know how it even has such high reviews it is not really what you’d look for in a Mexican spot. The place was a bit disorganized and messy. It just seemed very dirty and I felt like leaving I’d get a stomach flu or something. I got the… Chicken taco(alright.) Al Pastor(not good) Beef(alright) Chicken Burrito(actually good) Rice and beans(alright) & some chilled shrimp thing(disgusting) The pop sickles looked nice but it is not a place I would go back to again.

This particular day I was feeling adventurous and wanted to try something new. For years, I have always seen my friends instagraming pictures of their chamoyada. I had no idea what it was going to taste like it or even where to get it. This is where Unilocal comes in. I researched lots of different locations and stumbled upon La Michoacana Loca. 4 ½ stars?!? How can I not try this place out? After reading Nicki K.‘s review, I decided to get their aguas frescas and the chamoyada. I went up to the register and asked the cashier what a aguas frescas even was. I am clueless at this point and had no idea what I was even doing. I told the cashier it was my first time at this type of establishment. He let me sample many different type aguas frescas, which are basically fruit drinks that can either be milk based or water based. He let me try the frutas(most amazing berry smoothie ever), a nutty milk base fresca(also delicious), and the piña colada. All of the aguas frescas were delcious, but the piña colada one captured my heart! I have only had the piña colada drink once before with Unilocaler ChauPha in Gainesville, so I was super happy to find a place close to home. I was also happy to learn the name of the drink lol As for the chamoyada, I decided to choose mango and pineapple for my toppings. Bad choice on the pineapple since they seem to be unripe and very hard with no flavor. I would suggest only get the mango topping. The chamoyada sauce was way too much and strong for my liking. I was so love with my piña colada aguas fresca that I didn’t really care for the chamoyada. However, the cashier was really nice to me. He gave me a card for a promotion for half off chamoyada and/or a free taco or burrito after 7 pm on Friday. Like Nikki K said, 5 stars for the aguas frescas! I will definitely be back.

First time trying fresas con crema and I loved it(strawberries & cream drink). The ice cream is kinda pricey but it’s good. I would recommend this place and I’m def returning.

They told me the wrong flavor of the ice cream. I even ask to make sure if it’s the right flavor. They’re not even sure what the flavor of the ice cream is, I was very disappoint after I took a bite of the ice cream. I ask for guava but got a pine apple flavor instead and a mango flavor but got a weird flavor ice cream. Waste of 4 bucks in the trash!!!

They have lots of choices on the menu from desserts and ice cream to actual food like carne asada etc… it’s very clean and big. Good service and you can taste the agua frutas if it is your first time there. The ice cream is good but is too sugary in my opinion. The drinks are good but like I said, it is sugary. Overall it is a nice place and I would come back.

The chamoyada is So good!!! You have to add the fresh mango topping for .50! Worth the money and sweet staff. The chamoyada looks kinda wetter tha most but the flavor is great!

By far, I really like this place. I had chicken burrito and rice and beans for lunch, and everything was super fresh and flavorful. They also have a small salsa bar, and it’s awesome. Immediately, I compared this place to Don Pedro right across the street from L’ville Hwy, but Their food quality is way better than Don Pedro’s. They start cooking the meat to the order, as opposed to Don Pedro mass cook chicken and beef in advance, and they’d heat it back up when they have an order. So is refined beans and rice, they taste better and flavorful than Don Pedro’s. They are also very friendly and give you samples of ice cream and desserts. Place is fairly clean, and staff is pleasant. «Only» cons are, it takes longer time to cook and get your order done because they cook meat to the orders. But it’s s small price to pay for delicious food.

Sometimes I get burned out with all the Asian bakeries that are opening left and right. Don’t get me wrong. I love me some sweets but every now and then, I want to mix it up with sourness and spiciness. That’s where the Latino sweets/desserts come in. I’ve been wanting to go to Polo Loko for a while now and finally had the chance to do so today. It’s located in the shopping plaza directly across from Berkmar High School in Lilburn. The chamoyada have fresh mangos and topped with a stronger chamoy sauce. The sweet ladies at the counter offered samples of the aguas frescas. I was in love with the pina colado and my daughter wanted the frutas. Therefore, I got both along with the chamoyada. While waiting for our goodies, the tables had menus and there are more food options. I cannot wait to go back and try. 5 stars strictly for the chamoyada & aguas frescas. It’s soooo good.

The place is relatively new. The owner said they have been open for only around 5 month. The lady that helped us was really nice. We could not read the menu because it wasn’t in English. We mainly came here for dessert. We managed to sample all of the drink flavor. I have to say these drinks are not for me. Some of them are too milky. I had the pina cola which was not the best but the best out of the bunch for me. I also had the tamarind popsicle. I enjoyed that a lot and do recommend you trying that if you like food that is not too sweet and have a sour kick to it. I gave this place 4 star because I haven’t try their other food yet.

I was excited about this place from the get go. The location is perfect for the clientel that they are trying to get. I ordered the torta de carne asada and it was amazing. The torta was huge and it had avocado, tomatoes, jalapenos, and the steak in it. It was delicious. I also tried the agua de coco paleta and it was refreshing. I am going to be a regular for sure ;)
