What was that??? This used to be Mexican Pie, now its Italian pie that serves mexican food. And not good Mexican food. I don’t want to give a bad review because the family that owns this place is so nice. I think the Italian Pie would have been the better choice. They closed Mexican Pie and merged it into one restaurant. We ordered cheese dip, that was cold. We ordered traditional Chicken soup, and it had mozzarella cheese in it, no avocado even though we asked for it. We ordered Mexican Pie that was terrible. So bad we couldn’t eat it honestly. We thought it would be great since its the signature dish. It was a strange bland blend of olives, corn, chicken, shells, and cheese. And it came with marinara sauce… what??? So we poured the cheese dip and the salsa over it and tried to make the best of it. Yuck. I ordered the steak tacos. They were supposed to be the special, with bacon. But there was no bacon. Just salty steak and cold onions and peppers. I will say the pizzas coming out of the oven looked amazing… though i didn’t see any dough being made. IDK, im not sure these guys are gonna make it with food quality this poor. Someone with some passion needs to get in the kitchen!

Not as good as their next-door restaurant(Italian Pie, same owner). Still decent food, but I’ve had better Mexican food. Prices are very, very nice. I’d good back.

Mexican Pie is located off of Lawrenceville Hwy right in the front within the same plaza as the Walmart Neighborhood Market. Right next to Mexican Pie is Italian Pie. They both have the same owner(s)/manager(s) I surmise since both stores are joined from within by a walkway. Mexican Pie offers a pretty extensive menu serving: tacos, quesadillas, authentic mexican dishes, seviche, fajitas sizzling on a platter, and much more. Don’t let the name fool you since their sister/brother store Italian Pie serves pizza, calzone, etc. ***Check out uploaded pictures. You’re welcome! *** INTERIOR/SERVICE: Very decorative and festive. Can we say fiesta?! Haha. They have booths and tables with chairs. The register is pretty neat as well. We ordered and paid before going to sit down. Food is brought out afterwards. The guy that assisted us was very helpful with a witty personality. Always a good thing! FOOD: I was in the mood for something light. Ordered 2 Seviche de Camaron Tostadas. Each seviche was served on a crunchy tostadas(big circular nacho chip) and it was DELISH. The seviche was served with juicy shrimp chunks, purple onions(definitely a plus!), cilantro, diced belle peppers, diced tomatoes, and slices of avocado on top. I added some Valentine hot sauce and squeezed some lime over it to give it a spicy-citrusy kick. My cousins and sister stuck with steak tacos and they said it was delicious as well. The tacos were flour-based, not maize-based. 3 sauces were brought out to accompany the tacos including the Valentine hot sauce. They do have sauces so make sure to ask for them if you think your food is «bland» or «lacking flavor.» Everything was great for us. I will definitely be back to try their specialty entrees and other items on the menu.

This past Friday my co workers and I decided to try this place. We were craving fish tacos. I wasn’t impressed at all. The fish tacos were average. I could’ve made them at my house. They were lacking flavor. There was nothin exciting about them. I would suggest adding some spicyness to them or something. I did like the beans even though they were watery. I think they came from a can. It seems to me like the Mexican food is made by an Italian restaurant. I think I’ll try next door next time.
