Heart Rock Sushi Lounge

I’ve only been here for happy hour a couple of times but each time, I really enjoy it. The happy hour has some nice drink specials (the martini is strong for $ 5!) and appetizers. I’m not a huge sushi fan so I just had the vegetable roll which was yummy and my bf had the Red Dragon and he loved it. The music and atmosphere is lounge-​y, hence the name I suppose. Overall I really like this place and highly recommend it.

I can honestly say that I’m a fan of sushi. This place is nothing short of excellence. The steak tataki was served with a specialty sauce that is phenomenal. The service was very good and the drinks held there own. I recommend this place for any one who enjoys a nice relaxed setting with a gentle mood. Top it off with one of the martinis and you won’t be disappointed. I recommend you come for the happy hour cause the prices are very cheap.

As per other reviewers the sushi here is really good. The Lobster Rangoon is EXCELLENT!

A simple request was declined by a man who identified himself as the owner. Even though I had ordered it the same exact way at least 4x times in the past without incident. Then one day, the owner says his restaurant had never served it that way, that I was mistaken, & if I wanted it that way, I could go elsewhere. The same waiter I had for all the other times, including this last time, agreed with me. Said he couldn’t believe his boss. If a restaurant can’t accommodate a simple request then where is the customer service? It’s not like I was asking him to serve something not on the menu, or serve it in an unsafe manner. Want to know what the request was? It was to please cut the sushi in half… you know, so the pieces would be easier to eat instead of a big ol’ piece. WTH?! Guess I’ll be taking my $$$ elsewhere

There was catering from this place at a party I was in and the sushi was top notch. I loved it very much. Will be going to check out the restaurant next time.

DELICIOUS! I crave the red dragon roll on the daily. I love the Asian pear martini and the atmosphere is so chic. I can’t figure out why it’s never packed because the sushi is some of the best I’ve ever had! Bonus points too because our server was gorgeous :)

we live close and drive by at list twice a day, I’m a sushi lover, but don’t know why yesterday was the first time that i thougth about trying it…
Well the place looks very nice and modern inside, they have a sushi bar a well as a good menu choises, we’ve been greated with smiles and everybody included our server Jeff are very friendly.
They had a good ambience music going but it was to low and with the 5 to 8 happy hour on martinis and food expecially on friday nite i dont understand why the place is not packed!
I just think they should put a little bar outside with tables so people that drive by will see some movement and stop by to check it out…
the food was good i would give it 5 stars if they had tables outside and if they had the music a little louder.
Will definetly make it our first choice of Sushi place now that we tried!

This place is dead every time I go and I can’t figure out why! The sushi is excellent! It makes my mouth water just thinking about it, and the service is outstanding. You are greeted with a smile when you walk in the door, and they’re always checking on you to make sure everything’s good.
They’ve got a very clean, fresh and modern décor and a full liqour bar. The menu also features Thai and Fusion. It’s a little on the expensive side but chances are you’re gonna leave full and happy. I recommend an HR boat for groups of 3 or more.

Good food and service

GREAT Happy Hour. GORGEOUS décor. Ate and with hubby for under $ 30.00, and not only was it priced right, it was very good. Absolutely don’t understand some of the reviews, perhaps they should give it another try.

great potential. serve bigger sushi rolls and more reasonable pricing and the ratings will go up. But I am still hanging in there for some improvement.
I have been several times since its literally down the street so I hope they realise they are not the only place to get sushi and they can bring the prices down and serving size up.

What a joke.
Not quite as good as Publix sushi, but about three times the price. And served with ramen noodles. Nice atmosphere and décor, but that isn’t what I worry about when looking for good food. The people giving this place high marks are insane.

A trendy and modern design takes the interior up a notch, especially considering that the owners could have taken the easy route and made it into another cheesy decorated neighborhood sushi joint. What would make it more lively is if the place ever filled up, not that I love crowded restaurants but for their sake, it would be nice to see more patrons enjoying the great food and ambiance provided.
The servers do their job pretty well. The kitchen and sushi bar also do a heck of a job. The bartenders are hit or miss (the sakitini I ordered two of came out completely different both times). The full bar is a plus, at least for our group.
The value is fair– I am willing to pay a bit extra for creativity with rolls and such. Friends who live locally, do take out from there a lot and they are sushi snobs, so you can take their opinion as another recommendation… not that you know them, but since I do, just take their word for it, ok? ;)

Consistently very fresh and tasty sushi. Very friendly service. Large space, nice and cosy design. Fool bar. I love it there. Same great food and service in their Sunrise location, but much smaller space.

We went for a late lunch on Saturday, around 1:30 pm. We had lunch combos, one sushi-​sashimi and one sashimi. Both were served with noodles and a fried dumpling. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. The service was perfect. The hostess, server, and manager all gave us just the right amount of attention to ensure that our meal was perfect.
It wasn’t apparent from the outside, but the building must have been completely gutted because everything inside was new and very tasteful. The ceiling was a clever mix of finished drywall and open beams exposing the underside of the flat roof, showing that even the roof was brand new.
Pricing was in line with what I’ve seen for lunch in other cities. The service and setting made it a great value.
We’re new to the area and there are many sushi restaurants around. It may be quite a while before I try the rest.

Very pleased with the ambiance and décor of the new location. The sushi is consistently good and I love their wasabi mustard on everything.

I went here on a Friday night to have dinner with a friend. From the outside, you would not think the restaurant was so modern and nice inside. Even with a decent size crowd, we were seated almost immediately. When we sat down, they offered us a free appetizer sampler, and took our drink orders.
They have a full bar, and a nice selection of martinis. I do not remember the name of the drink that I ordered, but it was some type of blueberry martini. It was delicious! My friend and I are vegetarians, and there are many items available for this type of diet. We started with the age tofu and teriyaki zucchini on skewers. Then we ordered a few rolls.
Overall, I had an awesome time here! The food is amazing, and they have a great drink selection.

Ok, I’ve eaten here a few more times since my original review (I actually reviewed it about a month ago, but posted it to the wrong location, so had to re-​post) and I’m definitely a bigger fan. When you’re a vegetarian eating sushi, I guess the key is custom orders. :)
I’ve taken to ordering a veggie roll with avocado, asparagus, cucumber and cream cheese, as well as a plain avocado roll — and they do a good job with both. They haven’t screwed it up yet, and I barely miss the fish, so that’s a good sign. Although they do need to get their consistency down. They charged me different amounts for the same custom rolls on different days.
I’ll definitely continue to order from here — and the staff is really nice, to boot. They’ve earned their extra star, although I do wish they’d expand their vegetarian sushi options, so I could branch out a little. (Hint: Take a cue from Yuga in Miami, they know how to get creative with veggies!)
