We go here once a week or so and its always great. The service isn’t the friendliest, but we always have what we need and the food is always fresh and delicious. For the price, you can’t beat it.

I wish I could write a review to stand up for the Yokohama Sushi name, but I just can’t for this location. We have been long time patrons of the Yokohama east location in Boca and love the cheap and quick sushi! We started going to this location when it opened, shorty after the east location had caught fire and went under construction. During this construction period, the staff from the east location was placed in the Deerfield location, so there was no issues. Same prices and quality of the east Boca location! However, once the east Boca location re-opened, this Deerfield location went downhill fast. We continued to go here several times because there was never a wait versus their other locations where you sometimes wait 30 minutes. Although, we were often 1 of 2 or 3 tables in the restaurant, service is so incredibly slow. After this happened a couple of times, the last straw was when we were literally the only table and it took 20 minutes to get drinks and another 30 minutes to get food, then another 20 minutes to pay. We also noticed on this last visit that none of the regular staff was there, and while the menu and decorations were the same, the food that came out was definitely different. Lastly, on this last visit, there were two guys(employees) that seemed to just take turns going outside for a smoke, which is why everything took forever. It seems like they must have changed owners. They really should change the name so that this doesn’t look so bad for the other Yokohama locations!

I only ate here once, and I won’t go back. I probably have very high standards for Sushi, but this place was not good. The food was edible, I think. But man, I feel like they just don’t care about quality at all. So. uhmm. In my opinion don’t eat here, this place sucks.

Just moved to Florida and we have been visiting all sushi restaurants to find the gems. How can we say this delicately? We stopped eating the food in this restaurant to write this review since we would not want a single person to make the same mistake we are making as we speak. The restaurant is deplorable with regards to food quality. The sushi is not fresh at all and although the chef uses gloves the waiter was caught touching and moving the food on the plate once the chef gave it to him without using gloves or washing/sanitizing his hands. We got a roll that had frozen mango pieces on top of it and you could taste the fish on all our other rolls should never have been served. The only thing this restaurant got right was the Sapporo beer… thank God they couldn’t mess that up. I’m sure they wish their restaurant was much better but unless the food quality improves 1000% this place is not worth visiting. There are a few next to and around it that are much better. Skip this one and you will be happy.

The chicken teriyaki came without sauce, dry, and not impressive at all. The simple California roll had such a small piece of crab in it that it may as well be a vegetarian roll. Not a great restaurant, I will definitely never order sushi or teriyaki from here again.
