Tamarind Asian Grill and Sushi

Great food. I love the Sushi chef, he had great suggestions when it came to helping find the kind of rolls would be in my taste. The fried chicken rice it a must, wayyyyy better than any I ever had

I truly enjoyed the food here. Looking at the menu, I knew right away I wanted the Red Dragon Roll. It came out very pretty and super fresh! My other person got the drunken noodles with beef and I absolutely loved it. Not many places can cook/​serve drunken noodles well so I was very interested in trying that dish. I wish i had the stomach capacity to order the sashimi platter. The table next to us got it and it looked SO fresh.
What also is a huge plus is that they have a vegan menu! Barely any Thai restaurants have vegetarian menus so finding out that this place has a vegan menu makes it a huge gem.
The restaurant is kind of split into two rooms but there is no difference. I think one side has a more loungey/​intimate feel while the other side is a little busier and has more lighting. They serve Japanese and Thai food. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I tend to take a little longer to order in new places so our waiter was very patient with us! Definitely would recommend this place and can’t wait to go back.

This place has breathtakingly good food. I used to work across from this restaurant and I’d eat here very frequently for lunch and dinner. I’ve never had a bad experience. I posted a photo of the lobster sushi I had, I can’t remember the name of it, but it was to die for. Best sushi place I’ve ever been to. Always fresh, always fast, always amazing. 5 stars on quantity, quality, service and price. Convenient location. Trust me, you will regret it if you don’t go here for sushi night!!!

Our meal was absolutely great. Sat at the sushi bar. My husband got the mixed seafood green curry, and I had the sashimi platter. Both were excellent. Great seafood, good flavors, well prepared. Service was good as well.

Delicate sauces and delicious flavors. Friendly servers and staff. Quick service and relaxing ambiance. We’ve been going to Tamarind for over 6 years and the food flavors and staff are consistently fantastic –which is remarkable — Kudos to the owners/​management.

I don’t know why the reviews are not better. This place is great. The servers are so nice. The Thai food is flavorful and authentic. also the sushi is fresh and they have a huge variety of special rolls or basic sushi. We will make this a regular spot in our rotation.

Definitely a solid 4.5 but I’m rounding up because it has a vegan menu! This was excellent when I took a client who is vegan. I had never been and my boss suggested it. I mentioned my client was vegan but she assured me she would be able to eat something. They have a pretty extensive menu and a whole page dedicated to vegan options– Cool!
I ordered the lunch chicken fried rice. It came with choice of soup or salad. I opted for salad with ginger dressing. It’s probably the best ginger dressing I’ve ever had– I wanted to lick the bowl but it was a business meeting lol!
My vegan friend/​client ordered the fried tofu drunken noodles. My boss and associate ordered salmon and stir fry chicken. Portion sizes were nice, the service was great, the food was tasty and I highly recommend!

Used to be good. However, now it is sub standard. Susi was dry and flavorless, even the staff must not of liked it because they keeped trying to clear the plates while we were still eating.

This is a solid overall choice for Thai food. Their pad kee mao (drunken noodles) is very good, crab Rangoon is tasty, and their fried rice is pretty tasty as well. I’ve also had pad Thai and the vermicelli/​bean thread noodle dishes, and those are both pretty good as well. This place gets a bit expensive but they have the advantage of being one of the only remaining decent Thai restaurants in the area.
I usually order takeout but the atmosphere is nice inside. I would give this place 5 stars if they used more fresh veggies in some of their dishes or made their flavors a little more bold or unique. My favorite Thai place used to be Sukho Thai all the way down in Fort Lauderdale and I wish this place measured up to their food, but alas, it falls a bit short. This place is a safe bet if you want something convenient and local.

Just ok. I went here yesterday with a coworker on our dinner break for take out. Fried rice and spring rolls $ 18…a bit much I thought, but as long as the food is good I’m ok with that. The rice was just ok. Very plain. Chicken, onion, and scallions. (I didn’t want the egg) I wish it would have been more flavorful. The spring rolls were fine. I’d probably go again if if during the lunch special hours, but this won’t be a regular spot.

I’m wondering how a sushi spot can mess up Dragon rolls? First of all the flavor was horrible. They stuff it mostly with lettuce barely had any shrimp in it. And to top it off it was $ 14! I will never go back.

What happenedddd? Did I come at the wrong time? On a bad day? The last time I came here a few years ago, I was blown away. This time it was bland, bland, bland… Everything was just barely average. My perception of this place is destroyed. The sushi was especially disappointing. You would expect a $ 16 red dragon roll to at least have some flavor. It was warm and bland. How can tempura shrimp with eel, tuna, and crunchy flakes possibly be that tasteless? I just can’t figure it out. Total bummer. The service was fine but the food was not worth the money. What is happening to restaurants in South Florida? No one gives a shit anymore about what they are doing.

Duck curry! It is the best! If you know and appreciate tai food please try this here, it is very interesting that they also have sushi and its excellent, usually i am skeptical with restaurants that have sushi and tai cuisine but today i have been proven wrong! I really liked Tamarind and I will come back

I just ate here and wish I could get back the time and stomach space. Tamarind, your owners should consider investing in a serious makeover of your place and sushi. Sushi rolls we’re quite disappointing and sashimi left me a bit concerned. The presentation of your dishes could also be improved. Why bring out a little bit of food on a big dish. I would say to all, go to another one of the many sushi places before trying here.

Okay, so Saturday night, around 7 my partner and I went to this wonderful place. The setting was very intimate, which was a big plus for me. It wasn’t too busy, I like when places aren’t over flowing with people. We ordered edamame first as a appetizer. That was my first time trying it and it was delicious. And for out entrees we order the red dragon roll and pad Thai with chicken. Both were so good and so filling. The portion size for pad Thai was large so I got to take some home with me. The service was quick, and our server made sure she checked on us periodically. I would recommend this place to anyone if they are in the area. I had no complaints, only good memories and delicious food.

One of our favorite Thai food restaurants! Prices are great especially during the week for their lunch specials.
They make a delicious Thai Iced Tea. For some reason a lot of restaurants cant seem to get it right.

I am a lover of the sushi tower and will try is at every sushi restaurant. Each one has its own flair. At Tamarind the sushi tower is much small than I am use to but still very tasty. Where other place add seaweed, cucumbers and/​or avocado Tamarind’s is almost purely tuna.
The Chili’s roll was awesome! Very large portions with big chucks of tuna and salmon. A must try when you are here.
