It’s Hartz Chicken Buffet. If you’re a local, especially out nearer to the Boondocks, you know what they’re like. If you’re not, well, let me educate you a little. It’s a chicken joint. Fried Chicken. They also pride themselves on their rolls which are pretty darned delectable. You can get a box o’chick to go or your can stay in and get a box OR you can opt for the buffet. On the buffet, you get a smörgåsbord of yard buzzard to choose from. You can get hot wings, you can get just wings, you can get white or dark meat, you can get gizzards and livers, and you can get what I think is the best thing, the chicken strips. They’re really the«tenderloin» of the breast and they are darned good, especially dipped in the white gravy. Speaking of gravy, there is white pepper gravy and brown gravy to have with your meal. Mashed potatoes(almost certainly instant), radioactive orange mac-n-cheese, and several canned varieties of veggies. There’s a little salad, some cole slaw, and some desserts. All in all a decent spread to fill the void in your abdomen at a decent price. This location is nice and roomy. It’s pretty clean too. The people at the counter are the average chicken joint crew, but a little nicer than most. If you find yourself in Liberty and get more than just a bit peckish, stop in and enjoy some chicken, all kinds of chicken.
