Called in an order tonight the girl who answered the phone obviously had to be new because she could not answer questions about side items and had to place me on hold. I ordered a prime time burger and a lighter portion of the parm chicken. I had asked about sides for the parm chicken of what it came with and had to be put on hold. So when my husband went to pick it up he called me confused because they had me down for chicken fingers. so he had to wait. And guess what they charged him for the full price of chicken fingers instead of the lighter portion size of my parm chicken which was cheaper and no they did not reimburse bc we only caught it when we got home. Thanks for the wait and frustration. Please train your staff to know the menu and how to compensate when there’s a mess up.

Another quality dining experience at lunch today; attractive décor, tasty food, pretty good service. There was a glitch with the server who took something for granted in the order of one of my companions. When the discrepancy was pointed out, she was very apologetic and accepted full responsibility for the error. Then, she sent the manager over to express his regrets and he announced a discount. It didn’t fully correct the error, but it greatly mitigated the irritation. As a calorie counter, I’m also a big fan of restaurants that publish their nutrition data. Nice job, Longhorn.

Great food! Great hospitality! Highly recommend! I had the sirloin with shrimp, along with some sweet potato and steamed veggies. By the way, if you’ve never been, their rolls are phenomenal!!!

Generally enjoy this chain. But this one was just plain odd. I arrived and 4 couples were waiting. There were multiple tables and booths open. Waited 15 minutes, the I had to ask: «why is there a wait?» …hostess said they didn’t have enough servers. I suggested at least seating the guests so we’d feel comfortable instead of being on benches at the door. Just got a blank stare back. So took off. Two of the other groups seemed to agree as they followed me out the door. Head scratcher really.

Just left the restaurant. The worst service I have had at a restaurant in a long time. First problem was getting our drink order. It took so long the manager came over to see if we needed anything, while waiting. She then went to see about it and came back saying the bar was crowded. It had two people seating at the bar. Finally getting our drinks from our sever. When our food was delivered to the table, one meal was not delivered until everyone was half done with theirs. I did not have any dressing for my salad. When asking for it, the waiter seemed put out. Finally getting the dressing in. A very small cup, not enough for a large salad. Then when the check came for the two of us, the manager came over. I told her it was terrible service. Her response was one to make excuses, two to blame the kitchen. The problem was with the server and her. She then said let me see what adjustment she could make. I went to the restroom and she came back and left the bill along with my money I was paying with. She told. The rest of the party and did not address the problem with me directly. Upon leaving I handed her the money and the check. The whole experience was BAD,

First visit to this place. Wanted to like it but didnt. The bread was good, so was salad. I ordered a flat steak, but they were out of it. Tried sirloin which was poor and I couldn’t eat. Manager offered to let me try something else but after trying another entrée I just gave up. Very disappointing.

My review of a pick up order during lunch service. I called and asked for lobster and shrimp macaroni and cheese, which is on the menu online, and appetizer, and a cup of soup. I come to pick my order up and all that is in my bag is my appetizer and my soup. i told him my entry was missing and he said it doesnt come out for another 2 weeks and wasn’t on the menu, I told him a simple phone call would of sufficed and I would of gladly changed it to the chicken entry they had. He hands me 3 different checks. Calls the manager over, and I place an order in so I can get an actual meal, instead of just an appetizer and a cup of soup. They charge me for the entry, any decent restaurant should of comped the entire meal, the manager blatantly lies to my face and said they called me to chance the order, low and behold I am not missing a call. I pay politely, and all I keep hearing is the lobster macaroni and cheese doesn’t come out for two weeks and was I sure I saw it online. Never have I ever been so disrespected by a manager at a chain restaurant before In my life.

If you are looking for a great steak and great service for a fair price, this is it. This not a top end steak house but the quality of the steaks are a cut above the rest. Our last visit the wife and I really enjoyed the service that Charles provided and the manager Rebecca was exceptional. I ordered the Prime Rib it was so tender and my wife order the tilapia with mango salsa. We both really enjoyed everything about our experience.

This review is for my visit a few weeks ago and my general experience that I have had with Longhorn’s in the past. I did visit here last night for a Unilocal event and if all my previous experiences had been like the one last night I would rate them at least four stars. My visit a few weeks ago I ordered the boneless ribeye. I was disappointed that it wasn’t as flavorful as it should have been. It had no taste except for in the last two bites I took. I had the sweet potato that night as well and while it’s was okay, I’ve had better. The server that night was excellent, so it had nothing to do with him. Every time I’ve ate at a Longhorn, the steaks haven’t wowed me. I prefer TX roadhouse and Malone’s steaks over here. Now saying that, I finally had a great bone in ribeye from longhorn’s night at the Unilocal event. If they were to taste like that at my previous experiences it would rate higher stars.

In the ghost town of the abandoned Turfland mall parking lot sits LongHorn… a steakhouse fit for the biggest cowboy in Texas. A steakhouse so rugged, so themed, that it rewards servers with giant belt buckles. The Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms were my favorite of the two appetizers we sampled. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly. They were tender and delicious with a generous helping of cheese and sauce on top. Mushrooms are easy to get wrong, but LongHorn gets them oh so right! I also enjoyed the Wild West Shrimp. It was spicy and served with peppers. The Farmers’ Market Bibb Salad was beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. It was great to hear about how LongHorn offers seasonal dishes to take advantage of ingredients when they are at their freshest. I rarely eat steak, so their 7 oz Flo’s Filet was a real treat for me. It had a great flavor to it and didn’t require any steak sauce to enjoy. Although, I did sample the savory steak sauce that our excellent server, Chase, prepared tableside. I had the loaded baked potato as my side and it came full of butter, sour cream, cheese, and bits of bacon. Confession: sometimes I come to LongHorn and eat a salad just so that I can eat every bite of their thrilling Chocolate Stampede dessert. It’s the best chocolate cake in town.

I just cant say enough about the welcome we got and the service, plus the excellent information on the steaks. The owner, and staff member, the chefs that came out and talked to us. We started out with appertizers of shimp boat and mushroom with cheese grilled. The steaks just melt in you mouth. THey have a special sauce that they put togahter in front of you for your steaks. The sweet potatoe to die for and melts in your mouth, Then at the end you got this mouth watering like a lava cake with vannilla inside and a lemon sauce w/blueberries, as well a triple chocolate 7 layered cake with ice cream. This cake could easily feed 3 people. Ended it with a nice hot cup of coffee. What a nice place. I would diffently return there. WHat a wonderful place for the first time I have been a LongHorn Steak House. Excellent service from our server. Thank for having us,

Man, LongHorn knows how to make customers stuffed. We were treated to a five course dinner compassing of a grilled white cheddar stuffed mushrooms Wild West shrimp, new Farmers’ Market Bibb Salad which was fresh and looks like it came out of the Farmers Market. The chicken was delicious, but not the best in town though this is a steakhouse so my gut feeling is like other reviewers that the steaks are one of the best in town but I can’t fetch for that ;) However, I can fetch the vegetables were fresh and authentic which you typically don’t find in a chain restaurant. The dessert especially the chocolate stampede was to die for, it was a TEXAN sized two HUGE7 layer chocolate cakes with two gargantuan scoops of vanilla ice cream and the new blueberry lemon butter cake is an interesting addition to the LongHorn brand, my girlfriend said it is good for breakfast. The general manager is extremely friendly and has a big heart like the state of Texas. We had a genuine conversation and you can tell that he cares about the restaurant. While I flunked my steak education, at least I got to learn the art behind cooking steak and how serious it is. The staff were attentive and always trying to make sure we were satisfied and pleased. I left the restaurant with a loose belt and a free pass to the gym for the week :-) An epic and well organized event! Kudos to all of those involved in planning.

Very nice atmosphere and great food. What bumped this to a full-fledged five rating was the service. I can’t remember his name but our receipt says«Abddbarry.» He was easily one of the best waiters ever! Thank you for the excellent service!

This was my second visit to this location this time it was with my parents before they left on there long trip to Florida. When arriving into the door the hostess at the door was very welcoming and carried a nice conversation on the way to the table. When we got set at the table we noticed we had just seen are server come in from outside from a smoke break so it took a couple of minutes to get greeted. I ordered a normal hamburger with garlic parmesan fries which was nothing that any other restaurant couldn’t beat and the garlic parmesan fries weren’t what i expected unfortunately because i was really looking forward to these. My mother had the soup and salad and said the French Onion soup was one of the best she had ever had. My father had the under 500 calorie 8 oz sirloin and was cutting through it so hard that the table was shaking, he mentioned that he must have just ordered the wrong thing and didn’t want to send it back, but wouldn’t eat the rest of it either. During the rest of the meal most of are drinks especially my parents water’s remained empty and my coke was refilled till i reminded the server if she could please re-fill there drinks also. Upon leaving the restaurant i visited the restroom and noticed the manager in there when i walked in, I found it disgusting and unsanitary that he wouldn’t wash his before leaving the restroom, that was last straw for me as i thought this would be a very nice lunch based on the atmosphere when we walked in, Unfortunately i was way wrong. Visited on 1÷6÷2014 for lunch around 12:00pm Update: gift card was sent from corporate office to fix the problem

I have been to several LongHorn locations including ones in Hampton, and Virginia Beach, VA. I’ve always felt like the food was above average and the service was great. Recently I’ve decided to stop by the one in Lexington, KY since you never have to wonder about the quality of food or service. I was mistaken, even chain restaurants have weak links. Initial greeting was so-so. It was a day when the average temperature was 21 °F outside and we requested a booth. They seated us across from the entry doors even though there were many other booths available. I guess they didn’t understand most people don’t appreciate getting hit with near arctic blasts of air whenever people go in and out of a restaurant. Ordered the Ocktober Bread Sticks and special sauces; the food was great. My gf and I both ordered soft drinks. The free bread came after the appetizer but that was fine. After we put in our orders for our food, the server was gone for a while. As a matter of fact we didn’t see her even after we finished all that bread and my drink had been empty for 15 minutes. As a litmus test, I usually slurp my drink loudly when empty to see if any other servers would notice. Not one blink of the eye or a glance in my direction. I also left my empty drink by the edge of the table to see if another server would notice. Nope no luck here. There were 3 people at the entryway checking tree leaves coming in with the blasts of cold air(the manager, hostess and a waiter) but no one was really interested in refilling a drink. Yes, the appearance and cleanliness of a restaurant is important but I feel as though service is a bit more so. Perhaps I’m mistaken where customers would be the main interest of any restaurant but perhaps franchises think differently. Anyway, we were served our food, by a different server, which came out a bit cold(obviously left unattended and not picked up for a while). Requested a refill and asked about our original server. She came back after the 2nd server had done it all, including asking if we needed any condiments. I mean what is the point of telling the original server what condiments we had wanted(she specifically asked) when the replacement server would be asking the same thing? We talked to the manager about our experience and offered to pay for the appetizer and soft drinks. She said there was no charge and asked if we had wanted to take our entrees home free of charge. I was not interested at all. I don’t believe in trying to get anything for free regardless of the circumstances. I value my time, experience and appetite more than getting something for free. Anyway, my experience today would prevent me from ever entering any of the LongHorn steakhouses in the future, regardless of location.

Solid option. Came here for lunch. Service is good, and on par with what one might expect for a steakhouse chain restaurant. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, always nearby but not obviously so, and engaging. Food is good. I went with the signature chicken and raspberry salad. Didn’t feel especially«manly» with that option, but I’d been on the road all week and was looking for something lighter. This was noted on the menu as a signature selection. I liked it! Chicken was cooked nicely — good texture, flavorful, and tender. Not fancy. Just a straightforward salad. Entrees at our table also looked to be in that same vein — not fancy, but a straightforward option.
