Hunan Wok

This was my first experience ordering from Hunan Wok. After I placed our order of shrimp fried rice with extra shrimp, a small order of beef lomain and two egg rolls I received my total of $ 19.95 which isn’t bad. I was told it would take 30 – 45 minutes. Within 15 – 20 minutes I could hear the doorbell ringing. You guessed it, it was my order. That was fast! The food was pretty good and they provided courteous service.
There aren’t many places that deliver around here, in the Lexington Park/​California area and I am happy that Hunan Wok does. I will patronize this business again. I will definitely give you the «tea» as I work my way through the menu!

Well we wanted to order carry out tonight but things took a wrong turn when I called. The woman answering the phone asked me whether it was delivery or carry out that we were ordering. I answered carry out and then gave my number when she asked. I heard her then ask for my address which I declined to give and repeated our order was for pick up. She then yelled at me through the phone that she was, «Not talking to me so hold on!» I was baffled and did not respond. After a second I thought what she did was completely rude. If you’re going to take another order while you’re answering the phone, why not put me on hold? Might be overreacting… but I found it very rude. In result I ended up hanging up and we ordered from another Chinese restaurant. Just a strange, undesirable situation to endure… probably won’t call here again.

I love the food and service. I hope the pedo creeper who used to go flirt with the 8 year old who works the register didn’t kidnap him. Great food.

My wife was hankering for some oriental cuisine tonight and based on the reviews here we decided to give it a try. We arrived around 5:15 this evening and there were two people in there, a man, who we later discovered was the delivery guy, and a 8 – 9 yr old Chinese boy who told us to sit anywhere. It was very cold in there,. as cold as the outdoors. After placing our drink orders with the young boy, we decided on take out as it was just too cold to eat in there.
The boy took our orders, and he rang us up and I paid him. Our food was ready in 10 – 15 minutes. My wife ordered the Seafood Delight, and it was anything but delightful. The lobster tail was tough and freezer burnt. The artificial crab was pasty tasting and the little bay scallops tasted old and fishy.
I ordered the Triple Delight which was passable but not near as tasty as I have had elsewhere, e.g., the Teariffic Café.
We won’t be back.

Good food, reasonable prices, quick delivery. Dinner platters were about $ 8, which includes egg roll, soup, and wontons. Delivery took about 30 min, food was still warm and crispy when it arrived. Lots of food for under $ 20, no complaints here!

We ate here twice this month and I felt compelled to leave a review given how good the food was. They don’t over season with salt or soy sauce as many Chinese restaurants do, the shrimp were huge and the broccoli was fresh. Highly recommend!

I’ve ordered delivery from here a few times and have loved it every time. Their General Tso’s Chicken is the best I’ve ever had. Also they are always here very fast and the food is hot! Ordered Friday evening and it was here within 12 – 15 min. We tried the China Café once and will never order from them again. We had to wait almost an hour for them to show up, it was cold and even though it was a little bit cheaper the food wasn’t nearly as good
