Decent place to buy sporting goods if you are not looking for specialty items. For example, backpacking supplies. If you need standard items(gas canister, etc) they will have it. But higher end items like tents and packs and sleeping bags you’d do better getting at REI or the manufacturer. This store does a lot of hunting/fishing and golf business, but no longer has a golf pro. So don’t expect any actual help in the golf section. Checking out can sometimes take longer than you would like, lines can get pretty long.

This is the second time I have placed an online order with Dicks, and this experience is as bad as the first. Today is the last day to receive 20%, and free shipping. When you go to check out, you pay for the full bill. 20% was never taken off. Dicks is already high priced as it is. I went to the store, and they still could not give me the 20% off as the online processing had not occurred yet, but it has posted to my CC. That’s it, no more shopping with Dicks sporting goods. Had enough.

Purchased a bocce ball set, and the bag was ripped! The other sets that were available also had tears in the bags All the balls were clearly used. Spoke to a manager after the purchase and was told I could return the set for another defective bag for a 30% discount. Terrible management. The set was clearly returned by someone else, and immediately placed back on the shelf for sale

Poor customer service. Nobody comes to ask you if you need help; then when you finally find them, they merely lead you over and drop you off without even asking what you’re looking for.

Standard Dick’s experience. I was a bit put off with the prices – its a bit expensive to shop here but that is probably the norm for sporting goods stores. It is VERY nice to have the options here locally and not having to drive 40mins to get sports gear.

Great store, but their prices are more expensive than their website and they won’t price match their own website prices. Pair of pants listed for $ 38 on their website sold for $ 50 in their store. That makes no sense whatsoever. $ 34 capris listed for $ 45 in their store.
