Horrible, horrible, horrible. … I could have my 4 year old do my nails better than they did. Dirty facility. Rude. bad quality. Will never go back again.

I have never reviewed anything about any places till now but I think I have to share this with you. I am beyond upset about this salon. They shaved my nail to get rid of «gel» and scrutched my skin, the nail length was not even from left to right, the cuticles cut wasn’t enough, the color was not done nicely(as in th pic)…I kept trying to ask them to fix them, then they just get frustrated. So I just had to take everything out and go home. The worst thing is. they don’t apologize for the poor service but forced/yalled me to pay fully since they **spent time for me, not providing the good/right service… I am beyond surprised and offended by those people.

Horrible! Got a gel mani and it looks terrible. Going to have to go somewhere else to get it redone. Looks like I need another coat of polish and there are spots that are darker than other spots. No lotion, no massaged feet, NOTHING. Told them that was not worth the $ 45 and they did nothing. Smiled at me and said«Thank You»…really bad. Stay clear

I have gone here twice now. I love these two. Kim and Andy are great! I have always had healthy nails and they are using something new. Can I say beautiful? Strong? And Long lasting? I admit I am a bit of an addict when it comes to my nails, but this is a no nonsense, reasonable, fast, no smell. Oh, did I mention that I got a pedi WHILE my nails were being done? Wow! Ok the gel made me itch like crazy so done here. Need to find a place that does hypoallergenic nails. The search continues

I have been going to Darling nails for years for pedicures. A few months ago I started getting manicures. The manicures have lasted at least 7 – 8 days.

My gel nails lasted 5 days and that’s being generous. They were also sloppily applied by an apathetic employee. And they charged way too much.

Based upon the previous reviews, I chose Darling Nails for my «last paid pedicure for a while» since I’m currently looking for a new job. The older woman(mother?) did a good job working on my calluses, got them filed down very well, but I did worry at one point that she’d broken the skin. She didn’t, and I did get the mid-level package that includes more work on calluses. Her daughter or daughter-in-law finished the pedi… and my cuticles are a bit tender tonight. Granted, it’s been about 6 weeks since I had a pedi, and this was only my 4th, but I don’t remember this much cuticle clipping before… and I know I don’t do that much myself. The mid-level package includes a mask and hot rock massage and a couple other things. The salt-scrub, mask, lotion massage, and one other«professional-use-only» massage was«lower leg only» and never touched my feet. Not sure about the hot rock massage, I don’t have anything to base it upon, so I won’t include it on here. The polish job seems to be good, she started with a base coat, added two coats of color(if you want something other than pink/red or bridal neutral/silver/gold you won’t have much selection), used a paintbrush dipped in polish remover to clean up any polish on the surrounding skin, and added a top coat. By far the closest to what I do myself at home as I’ve seen. The basic package is $ 20, the mid-level is $ 26, and probably worth the extra work on my calluses. I detest shoes and refuse to wear them around the house/yard…which shows. The only thing keeping me from saying«yes, I’ll return» is the clipping of my cuticles… which I could probably tell them not to do. We’ll see, once I find a job that allows me to pays me enough to pay someone else to do what I can do.

There’s not much I ask for in a nail salon: cleanliness, attention to detail, and affordability is all that really comes to mind. I don’t mind if there’s a wait, I don’t care for fancy add-ons like a hot towel wrap or leg masques since I have to go home and shower it all off anyways, and minimal conversation is a plus. I get a pedicure to zone out and not interact or look at a screen for half an hour, so nosy nail techs inquiring about whether or not I have a boyfriend or what ethnicity I am is exactly what I try to avoid. I like Darling Nails because it’s close by my apartment and is every bit the no-frills, clean nail salon I want. $ 20 for basic pedi, complimentary bottle of water waiting for you when you sit down, thorough attention to detail, and– best of all– no forced conversation or prying questions; just friendly smiles and a job well done. They accept every major credit card, including Discover, which is a big plus for me. They could use a bit more variety in their color choices, but that’s my only small complaint. A great 4.5 stars.

I’ve been going to Darling nails for years. They are friendly and they do a very good job. I’m glad they are in my neighborhood.
