Icing Cupcakery

I drove by today, and it looks like this place is now closed. Lights were off, and a big Now Leasing sign was in the window. Sorry to see it go.

make some at home from a mix and save some money because this place is certainly nothing special.

I’m sorry to agree with the first review. Got a vanilla/​vanilla cupcake to compare to Cupcake a la Mode (my favorite). Tried the cake on its own first — very dry, weird texture, off taste and cornbready flavor. The frosting is grainy sugar and piled on. The appearance is also similar to cupcakes I could turn out (and that’s not saying much!). I can’t remember not finishing a cupcake before, but I won’t be finishing this one. I’m sorry for the owners — maybe they can fix it.

This place was awful! We got 4 cupcakes and they were ALL over cooked and/​or dry! The décor was so plain! Just a few tables and chairs. The display had 6 cupcake flavors to choose from and chocolate was not one of them, my hubby was very disappointed! We will not be returning to this place. If anyone tries this, I hope you have better luck then we did!
Carrot Cake — Flavor was ok but the cupcake was so over cooked! The icing was a bucket of sugar.
Cinnamon Apple — What a disaster! The cupcake was so dry! I split it with a fork and it just crumbled! All we tasted was cinnamon.
Southern Belle — Their version of Red Velvet (which is my favorite) was so disappointing! It was over cooked and the cupcake liner stuck to all sides. It did NOT have the «Red Velvet» flavor. The icing was your typical cream cheese flavor, NOTHING special.
Salted Caramel — Well SALT is all I tasted! The top of the cupcake was hard as a rock! Two bites and it went in the trash!
