Nice place. I like to support small business and stop in here at least once a week for a donut and juice. It’s worth a stop if you are in the area.

Finally a great donut store in Lenexa! The best part about this place is the unique donuts they offer. They have the variety you would expect, then they have original creations like the«tigers tail», «peanut butter twist», or the«clown donut». They make pie too! Everything is delicious and the service is great. Clean place. Huge fan. Definitely worth a visit.

When we walked in this morning, the sign on the whiteboard said, «Come in as our guest, leave as our friend…» Truer words have never been written with eraseable marker. We were made to feel instantly welcome as the owner greeted us warmly and chatted and laughed with us while we ate. And the donuts? Fantastic. I had some sort of brilliant nutella-baked-twisted-glazed magic and my husband’s was PB&J inspired and gorgeous. Crazy and tasty. We also tried the peach bread pudding(peach bread pudding!!!) and– are you ready for this?- savory bread made from donut dough. The folks at Hillwah are nothing if not inventive! Apparently they’re broadening their scope to baked goods beyond donut fare and I can’t wait to try it ALL!

Phenomenal. Big word for a donut place, huh? But that’s the first word I could think of as I bit into my chocolate covered, raspberry and cream cheese filled donut. The flavor combinations were as delicious as they were creative. I had a bear claw with strawberry topping – how unique! The donut alone would have been fine, but the topping was a delightful touch. If the donuts aren’t worth your visit, the staff is. They willingly let me try one of their white frosted with fruity pebbles. Despite thinking, «I bet I won’t like this» I LOVED it. The fruity crunch really added to the already great tasting donut. They really know how to meld flavors!

I have been to Hillwah donuts on several occasions. The owner/baker is a very freindly and kind man who seems to love what he is doing. I have had several different kinds of donuts, all of them have been fantastic. They are larger than you average donuts but the same price. The thing that stood out to me was his«specialty» donuts. They are BEAUTIFUL. He is a very talented baker with some great creativity. This is the kind of place where you know you are welcome and that the product is made with loving care. I will be back! tomorrow morning in fact!
