J Dawgs is easily a five star hot dog joint. It is delicious and consistent. My two favorite things in a restaurant! These are not normal hot dogs, they are so much better. Even if you hate hot dogs I encourage you to give it a try. Entering J Dawgs is always clean, and the employees quick to fill an order. They give you two options for your hot dog, beef or polish. I always get polish, because it’s a little spicer. Then they have an assorted number of toppings. I always get sauerkraut, pickles, the the special sauce. The special sauce is a J Dawg’s specialty, and it is SOGOOD. You can buy them by the bottle. My husband gets a polish with banana peppers and onions with celery salt. J Dawg’s is a quick and affordable dinner. Our dinner with a drink usually ends up being around 12 $. Try J Dawg’s. You won’t be disappointed.

I love a simplified menu, it makes ordering really easy. The menu doesn’t get any simple than at J Dawgs: Hot Dog and toppings, so simple but so very, very good. Yes it might seem pricey for just a hot dog, but these dogs are worth it.

What can I say? Hahaha it’s a good freaking hot dog. The special sauce is so yummy. I love you can add peppers, onions, pickle, whatever you want to it. I get the polish dog and it’s got a little spice to it and I like that. There’s not really places to buy hot dogs, but this place does it right. My husband come here often and service always good and dogs always great!(:

I love J-Dawgs. Don’t come to the restaurant expecting some glamorous meal. J-Dawgs keeps it simple and tasty. I always go with the polish dog and you have to get sauerkraut. There’s no other way to eat a hot dog. Love the celery salt too. Great flavor, keep up the great work.

I like J Dawgs. Once I came here on Sunday and found it was closed and I got upset. Served me right — as if I haven’t lived in Utah long enough. Let alone Utah County. I am not sure what makes the hotdogs here so delightful. Probably the well-seasoned sausage combined with their special sauce. Well, they call it special sauce but it pretty much tastes like bbq sauce to me. Perfectly charred sausage coated with sweet and smokey bbq sauce wrapped in soft buns. Yumm. Someone should patent this combination, if it has not already. You can choose few condiments to go along with your hotdog. I like mine with onions and banana peppers. The hotdog itself costs 4 dollars, which sounds expensive for a hotdog but the size is big. One is enough to fill me up. The combo will include drinks and chips and costs 7 dollars. You order and pay at the entrance, then queue to wait while they prepare your hotdogs. At this Thanksgiving point branch, parking and the queue tend to get busy after 11.30am. There are tables outside so you can always get a seat. Plus, people don’t normally linger after they finish eating, so the turnaround is fast. Everything looks clean and the service is always friendly. I can’t wait to come again.

I like the place, K. Good dogs, good buns, clean establishment, & friendly service. Yes maybe you only have two options of dogs and limited condiments. BUT, otherwise it’s weinersnitchel, yeah ya know they nasty.

J Dawgs is like a hot dog stand in the form of a restaurant. The menu is simple: beef hot dog or polish for $ 4 or make it a combo(chips and a drink) for $ 7. Place your order and then make your way through the queue and get your dog topped off. Condiments include J Dawg’s special sauce(very tasty), onions, sauerkraut, banana peppers, jalapeños, and pickles. They also have mayo, celery salt, and relish by special request. So how was the food? I dare say J Dawgs serves up a very good polish. The polish had a great flavor, a nice spice, and was cooked to perfection with just a little char. I also really liked their Dirty Potato Chips, the jalapeño heat chips were very good. My only complaints were the ordering system was a little sluggish. After ordering we stood in line for about 10 minutes waiting for the J Dawg’s crew to add condiments to the other customer’s orders. I think they’d be better off asking what you want on your dawgs up front and then bringing them to your table when finished. My second compliant is that they didn’t have grilled onions, but I heard an employee tell someone they’d be serving them soon.

Yeah, yeah. It’s just a hot dog joint… but it is AMAZING. Food: J Dawgs has been pumping out these«dawgs» for years, ever since their infancy on the SE corner of BYU campus. They’ve got a few locations now, and are still going strong because the food is just damn tasty — the secret sauce being the real star. A menu can’t get much simpler than this. Beef or Polish dog, and then you pick from their list of extras: some pretty amazing special sauce, Sauerkraut, Jalapenos, relish, Onions, banana peppers, and… I think that’s all. Add a drink & bag of chips to make it a meal for a couple more bucks. Service: Quick & friendly, what more can you ask for in a place like this? Atmosphere: The inside of the restaurant is clean & crisp, albeit pretty small. There are tables just outside, though, that are great when the sun is out. I’m guessing when there is cold, rain, or snow, people just get the food to go, because there is no way that the restaurant can fit all the customers. All in all, awesome. You should definitely check out J Dawgs if you’re in the area. It may just be the best dawg this side of the Mississippi.

I was expecting a lot from this place because everyone and their mom has been telling me about how delicious it is. Walking in and seeing the tiny menu was really disappointing, I was expecting crazy hot dogs like Reds in downtown Salt Lake but I guess they are going for the quick and dirty approach to their menu. I ordered one of each, the polish and the beef, both were tasty but nothing out of this world like I was told about. I put onions, pickle, jalapeños, and their special sauce on the polish. On the beef, I went with what one of the employees recommended«just special sauce». Both hot dogs were good and their special sauce was sweet and tasty. Don’t kill me for saying this Utah County people, but for me, J Dawgs wasn’t worth the drive to Lehi.

Excelent dogs! Great value! J Dawgs was initially recommended to me by several different friends. My wife and I now have a tradition of going to the original J Dawgs in Provo after spending the day at Seven Peaks water park. The sauce differentiates a J Dawg from everything else; it’s phenomenal! I keep it on had in my home and will hopefully never eat another dog without it. The menus is very simple and the service has always been spot on. Strongly recommend!

With all the uppity this and that restaurants that us Unilocalers get to review like burger joints, chicken places and everything else, its nice to see someone tried something simple and different. I love a good hot dog. Had em in Yankee stadium, Street Vendors in Chicago and when I was a poor college kid. I’ve driven by this place a hundred times, and finally went in and tried a couple. The menu is extremely simple. Get a beef or polish dog on a good bun, and you add whatever condiments you like for the kids, or to your hot dog specific palate(ketchup on a hot dog is blasphemy IMO). They have their sweet tasting special sauce, Jalapenos, Sauerkraut, A good relish or what have you. The Typical bag of chips choices and a drink and you’re on your way. We got ours to go, and went home and scarfed em down. A pretty tasty hot dog. The place in Lehi was clean, and the service was friendly. I got both the polish and beef dog to try them both out and they were both quality meats and tasted good. The special sauce is a little sweet, but doesn’t over power the dog and mixes well with whatever condiment you ask for. I tried Jalapenos and relish on the polish, and saurkraut and onion on the beef. Both were good, but I was a little partial to the flavor of the beef. I’m a fan and I’ll be back. They made a fan out of my wife and kids too. I can still taste that special sauce. Right on, Jdawgs… Well done.

I know it’s just a hot dog. But this is the best hot dog in the area that I’ve tried. If you’ve got a hankering for a hot dog, as Brigham would say«This is the place». They give you good, plump dogs, lots of toppings, and great sauce. Not to mention that the service is extraordinary(at least it was when I was there, the guy working even offered to refill my self-serve fountain drink!). I will most definitely be back when I’m in the mood for a dog.
