Worst Restuarant I have eaten at in many months; 2 hours to eat; over cooked steak, then undercooked steak; pasta portion that cost $ 28 and the size or the portion was smaller than a child portion. Avoid this Restuarant!

The food was okay– not bad, not great. The grill night is interesting-they grill some meat things outside and you get a salad bar. It’s a restaurant for members of the club and resort guests and has all the charm of a hotel restaurant. Which is to say, none. We went as guests of the resort, and apparently, non members don’t get their own dedicated server. A super nice hostess named Sue tried her best, but man it sucks to sit there with a kid waiting for 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge your existence. But it was convenient and Sue was great, so we move on!

We went to the Crooked Billet at the Golfclub for lunch today(if it was just for members, nobody stopped us – besides they need the business as the place was pretty empty). The view was pretty good and the décor a bit dated but what do you expect in Loudon county? We had fair to middling food: a cup each of mango(!) gazpacho soup(it’s pureed) which was tasty and interesting; one of us had the special which was vegetables and grilled chicken over couscous(nothing special but fairly edible) and the other had spinach salad with some goat cheese and other bits on it(and a really oily sauce which was probably supposed to be a balsamic vinaigrette but was close to disgusting). We had to ask for bread which the server said they had to bake for us! We had two coffees served lukewarm so had to ask for hot second cups(nice chinaware cups though) which were properly served ! I am particular about my martini and described it perfectly only to get it with way too much vermouth. With tax and tip we spent just over $ 60 for lunch. These are uptown DC prices and this was nowhere near the level of service and food quality one should get for these prices. Eg, no tablecloth, table napkins of different quality weaves, 7 sandwiches listed on one menu while 5 sandwiches listed on another menu, etc). At one point a young lady took away our used plates and asked us if everything was okay. We said yes, but we were mystified as she was not dressed as a server nor did she have a name tag label(like the rest of the staff we encountered). BTW all of the staff were friendly and helpful as we got completely lost looking for this restaurant in the complex and we had no idea where any of the restaurants are or even if they are really open to the public. It really isn’t clear what this place is – is it some sort of closed club, are some parts open to the public generally, is it a hotel, a conference center or really just a blown out golf club or what. We were actually checking the place out and looked at all the restaurants there, for a possible family reunion event but given the prices and sheer provinciality of the place(not to mention trying to figure out where to park so as to walk the least distance as some of us are elderly or disabled), I think we’ll pass on it. Restaurant doesn’t take cash! Place is wheelchair accessible.

Do not eat here. My family and i went to the Christmas Eve buffet and it was overpriced($ 50 per person) and very, very bad. Most of the food tasted frozen or was just not well-prepared.

Ugh. We went to this private resort for a family reunion. Our first night we waited over an HOUR to get served our food and we were the ONLY people in the place. The whole resort is this way. They have enough people but they are poorly trained and poorly managed. Every restaurant we went into was a D+. The whole place was totally sub-standard in my opinion.

This is a private restaurant for members of the Golf Club at Lansdowne Resort & resort guests. I recently stayed here a few days ago & not knowing the area i was forced to get lunch at this restaurant. I ordered a meatball sandwich to which i had to return it twice due to the fact that it was undercooked. My boyfriend had a Ruben sandwich which was pretty good. We also ordered a Tortilla Soup, that was horrible. Overall the staff was pretty friendly and the scenery is nice but the food isnt that great for a private restaurant.
