Great place to get some pretty good and affordable pasta dishes to break from the traditional fast food. We’ve only recently decided to try this place, and were presently surprised by the quality and taste of the food. And, being a chain you can expect some pretty consisted quality. It’s not exactly fast food, you place you’re order then get a number and your food is brought to you after a few minutes. They also have the coffee mix fountain which is always fun. Certainly a good bet for a good meal.

I eat here about five times a week, I am always satisfied and filled to the brim. Every once In awhile I feel that my food was cooked by a new person but that is very rare. The Parm Chickin is delicious. I love the Asian and maediterranian menus and not so much the american. Great quality food.

We came for lunch and the food is ok, but the condition of the restaurant was very poor! It was not so busy that the crew could not keep up. The manager needs to make sure that the environment is maintained… There was an elderly woman and granddaughter that stood by a dirty booth for at least 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and clear the table, granted there were open tables but she wanted a booth… Don’t blame her. Then there was a napkin that was on the floor when the girl came out to clean off a table, she walked on top of it rather than pick it up. There was also a cup lid right behind my chair that stayed there. If these items were solid objects, she’d have tripped on them! and the carpet was sticky under your feet and made the restaurant smell bad… Other than that, the food was ok, but if the restaurant was neglected, I wonder what went into prepping the food… Probably will not return any time soon.

Stopped in here for an early lunch today! I visit this location often and have never had a bad experience. I typically get the Japanese Pan Noodle dish and it has never let me down. Always fresh veggies, and fair amount of sauce. Today I decided to switch it up by getting the Bangkok Curry. It was a large portion, but had a bland taste. I wouldn’t reccommend that particular dish but that’s just me. Atmosphere is always clean, and cheery. Staff is always energetic and helpful. Recently, they have started coming to the menu board when you first walk in to help with any questions a guest might have. I find that to be a nice touch and a plus in the customer service area.

I’ve eaten here three times, and I come away each time with the same opinion. If I worked nearby, needed something fast for lunch that wasn’t typical fast food, maybe. But I’d rate the food as slightly above average. Has kind of a pre-fab feel to it. It’s fast, so that is a plus. It was averagely tasty. I didn’t think the mac and cheese was that fabulous. The Thai noodles were better. I couldn’t think of a reason to go out of my way to come here to eat unless I was already nearby and in a hurry and not in the mood for a burger, for instance. I’ve heard people rave about the place, and I can’t imagine why. Fairly good, but nothing to write home about in my opinion.

I don’t think Noodles & Company is even worth the one star but it wouldn’t let me choose less. I’ve eaten here many times and the food is beyond terrible. Everything is bland and tastes like rubber. We really wanted to like this places but it just sucks. The coke remix machine was the only good thing but I don’t drink soda. Sad when a food place is best known for everything but the food. We’re officially done eating here. Forever… and couldn’t be happier.

Noodles & Co is one of those«fast-fresh» concepts — sort of the Chipotle of pasta, only better. Three genres(Mac-n-cheese, Asian, Mediterranean,) a dozen or so styles, choose your protein, add a side if you’re hungry. Lots of options for the vegetarians… hot, fast, and under ten bucks. Can’t beat that for lunch! I was well fortified for an afternoon of shopping, and I’ll be back next time I’m in the neighborhood.

So the first part of this review is just a copy from my Olathe review, because they’re really the same place in all categories of friendliness and quality: In my mind, Noodles & Co is a great place to go when you want some variety and something reliably tasty. It’s never going to be anything terribly original or exciting, but it’s solid food at fair prices. How can you not like that? This was my first time at the Lee’s Summit N&C, and the service was really friendly and pretty speedy as well. It was a chilly evening and my girlfriend and I wanted some comfort food. We both got trios(small noodle dish of your choice + meat of your choice + soup or salad) — mine was mushroom stroganoff with braised beef and a caesar salad, and she got the mac & cheese with parmesean crusted chicken and caesar salad. The salads were pretty small but tasted good and I liked the caesar dressing that it came with(on the side). My stroganoff was awesome — perfect for a chilly night, and the braised beef was the perfect meat choice. Her mac & cheese was good(I have had it before so I can say it’s usually good), and the parm chicken is definitely a step up to the regular chicken. They recommend meatballs with mac & cheese but I have had the meatballs a couple times at N&C and they are always dry and flavorless… skip them. I felt like the trio wasn’t the best deal. I would have rather had a large noodle bowl + meat for slightly less money. However, it’s overall very tasty, affordable and pretty quick.

I’ve eaten at this restaurant several times and have always had a pleasant experience. The manager and the servers are all great. More than willing to do anything to please you. It has three main categories of food: American Italian Asian. You can add different meats to your dishes, switch out the sauces or the ingredients, etc. which is nice for people who don’t always like certain things. They will gladly let you taste test the different sauces if you ask – sometimes a bit of the dish – just so you can be sure you’ll like it before ordering. I think this is awesome – many fast food places won’t do this. Big kudos! As the name implies, each dish, except their wraps and soups, are geared around noodles. They can be ordered with a smaller portion main course and a salad for $ 7, which I like because it’s hard to get side salads at most places around. They have a WONDERFUL parmesan crusted chicken breast that can be ordered separately for $ 2, or to go on any salad or noodle dish. It’s fantastic. I order it on the pesto cavitapi and love it. I also like the burgundy beef dish. My significant other likes the mac n cheese with meatballs added. I’m not big on Asian food or spices, but if you are, you’d probably really enjoy this place. They have a large selection of Asian salads and Asian noodle items and I noticed many people enjoying those dishes. Of course, their HUGE rice crispy treats are great. Who doesn’t love those!

Hubby and I went here for dinner tonight and had an amazing experience. It was wonderful to eat El Fresco and our food was delightful. What made the experience so great was the General Manager, Sarah. She came around personally to check on the customers and we had a great conversation with her and she took our comments seriously and even followed up with us after our meal before we ready to leave to let us know we had been heard. Service was phenomenal. Our food was fresh and tasty. We will definitely go back. Found out tonight that 25% of the bill went to help Joplin relief. That made our dinner extra special.

What can I say. It’s Noodles. You pretty much know what to expect. The food is made to order and mostly good but by no means authentic of its ethnic counterparts. I think it is a great place to grab lunch if you are with a bunch of eaters who all want something completely different. I am a fan of the Pasta Fresca and the rice crispy treats. Overall a good place to get some ok food but certainly taste like a chain to me.

Lunch on 4-21-2011. Small Pad Thai no meat plus took some Sir. Sauce to go. Back at my desk in the office, food still steaming and looking good. But the taste was rather bland for Thai. I added the sauce. Still needed something, added a small tin of chicken from my desk drawer. Still needed something. Couldn’t find the peanuts in it. Remembering that this is one of the reasons I moved out of the chain store choked suburbs and closer to the city. Recommend you try Lulu’s downtown or one of the owner operated Thai eateries if you want something good in noodles. In all fairness, I will return for a sandwich or some ‘curry’ and update this blog.

Noodles & Company. I have been there three times as of this review. Being one who often cooks asian stir-fry and noodle dishes at home, I am very demanding in my tastes. I can make a mean pad-thai at home. I have ordered Noodles & Co’s pad thai and it’s…ehhh okay. I don’t taste any fish sauce in it and just doesn’t have any«hmph» to the flavor. If you are not really into the authentic asian cuisines like I am, it might be okay for you. I find it to be just a bit over-priced. The atmosphere is very nice and clean. Employees are friendly. Haven’t tried other non-asian dishes there so can’t rate those but friends I’ve talked to all say it’s «okay». Would I go back? Probably because I work right by there and I don’t like to venture far with such a short break. But, Noodles & Co really need to rethink some of their base sauces. They could use some re-vamping.

This is one of the places that I can only go to with certain people because it seems that people either love it or hate it here. Here’s why I like it: ~ 3 genres of noodle dishes which you can customize, including Asian, Italian, or American ~ Once you have chosen your type of pasta(which can include whole wheat), you can choose your meat/tofu of choice(yes, I said tofu! I’m sold!) ~ Dishes range from $ 4.50−7, score! ~ Meat and veggie soups cost less than $ 4 :) ~ Lots of unique sodas in the bottle and desserts, too. I have ordered noodles from each genre of the menu, in addition to ordering soup and side dishes. I have always gone home feeling totally satisfied and like I spent my money well. The place always has a energetic vibe to it and the facility is always clean and welcoming. Can’t complain :)

I do not want to be a Debbie Downer, but I was less than impressed by this place. I had the mac ‘n cheese and part of my wife’s spicy peanut curry pad thai. The spicy pad thai was not balanced right for my palate. The mac ‘n cheese was good at the start, but the bottom portion was too liquid. I do not want to trash it too much because some really great friends took us there for dinner right when we needed some friends. My friends would get five stars, but I know that they would share one of their stars with this place, which brings the total up to three stars.

I was shopping at the new Macy’s in Lee’s Summit, and about missed this little restaurant. It’s situated adjacent to Summit Fair, in a little strip of shops.(Not easy to get to exiting Summit Fair, by DSW shoes, but that’s okay). I wanted vegetarian food. Walking in, and the first thing one notices is how bright it is. Yellow! And modern. And crowded. Noodles was pretty fulll, and I was lucky to get a table. The menu consists of Ameircan(spaghetti, mac and cheese, buttered noodles, etc…), Mediteriain, and Asian. I selected Japanese Pan Noodles. Without meat. There are two sizes, one is 5.75, and the smaller is 4.25. I ordered the smaller size. Organic drinks and cookies are also available. My serving(the smaller size of Japan Pan Noodles) was ample. The vegetables were fresh, and the noodles were tasty. On top of the vegetables were fresh bean sprouts. It was warmed.(I don’t care for cold vegetables.) It was very good. I will stop here again when I am in the area. Pretty cool to find a place like this, with organic food(both meat, and tofu variations).
