Best coffee by far in Leavenworth. They roast their own beans. There is no seating yet. But, they tell me it is coming soon.

Hands down the best coffee in town. It may be the best coffee I’ve ever had. It wouldn’t be a trip to Leavenworth without getting a cup of coffee from Jesse at J5.

What a treat to be able to get a truly wonderful cup of coffee in this small town! These folks know what they’re doing; had the best mocha with high quality chocolate, not the cheap syrup they give you at Starbucks. I’m in heaven! My husband and kids were all complimentary of their selections and we are picky foodie people. Thanks J5 — we’ll visit again soon!

Cool coffee shop that makes everything in small batches or to order. I had coffee made from the Aeropress and it was great, good full flavor, not watered down or too strong. Only reason I gave a 4 star is they made my wife’s drink way before mine so she actually finished it before mine was even made. They were busy and mine takes longer to make, so I get it, could have just been planned little better. We would definitely recommend this place to others though.

Very cool fresh and modern place. It will perfectly accompany your German treats or put an exclamation mark on a cozy day. People were very friendly and it a warm artisan feel. High quality Americano. Nice homemade and vegan pumpkin spice syrup. Not any place to sit, but other than that this is the place to go in this little town for joe.

Awesome coffee shop! My Fiancé and I were visiting Leavenworth and decided to stop in at this shop because of the good Unilocal reviews. We have both worked in the coffee industry for several years and really enjoy a GOOD cup of coffee (we are pretty picky about the quality).
First, the atmosphere of the J5 shop is a relaxed, open feel. We got the feeling that this was a classy coffee shop when we walked in due to the avalibility of pour-​over, maximum of 16oz drinks, and options like a Con Panna and Cortado. The shop was spotless, despite the busy Saturday rush.
We were quickly served by the friendly staff! We quickly realized why this shop is rated so highly! The staff was friendly and easy to talk to and the coffee was excellent! My Cortado was made perfectly with the shots pulled correctly and the milk steamed well! It was one of the best Cortados that I have had! My fiancé was also very pleased with her order of a mocha.
Overall, I would highly recommend stopping in J5 if you appreciate quality coffee! So much better than Starbucks! And your supporting a local business! If your visiting Leavenworth, stop in and enjoy an excellent cup of Joe! We will defiantly return next time we visit Leavenworth!

Very chic! If you’re on Bavarian overload, or just looking for great espresso, this a brilliant shop. Friendly and knowledgeable baristas, with the only possible downside being limited seating at the bar.

Amazing coffee shop in Leavenworth. We had two delicious Americanos and enjoyed the ambiance of the shop. The décor and gift selection is really smart and would feel equally at home in Seattle or San Francisco.

This place rocks. I stopped by Leavenworth on my way back from Lake Chelan and stumbled across this cute coffee shop. The owners are super friendly and recommended their cold brew. It was the strongest cold brew I’ve ever had! So good! I highly recommend stopping by this place. I will definitely make a pit stop at J5 if I ever go through Leavensworth.

You have to come here for a fantastic coffee. Whether you are in the mood for a cappuccino, latte, cortado or just a pour over, you will be delighted. We were lucky enough to stop in when the owner Courtney was making the coffee. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, super informative about coffee. I loved the ambiance as well!

Why 5 stars? Because this was my favorite stop of our entire trip.

If I could custom-​make a coffee shop in a video game, J5 Coffee would be even better than what I could create. Basically what I’m saying is that they’ve done a better job than I could even imagine. Let me list the reasons:
1) They have the best Con Panna I’ve ever had.
2) They roast their own beans.
3) They have the coolest décor I’ve ever seen, even down to the details like coasters and notneutral glasses.
4) This is legitimately a family-​owned business. The employees during my visit were husband, wife, and kid — all of whom were as friendly as they come.
5) Yes, they have their kid greeting people and ringing up orders… until he remembers he’s a kid and decided to abruptly leave his post, in an adorable fasion :)
6) I left my chocolates at the bar, and said kid-​employee came running down the street after me to make sure I did not leave them behind.
J5 is deserving of their 5-​star average, and I hope others continue to post rave reviews to help them with their continued success. You guys are awesome!!!

Serious, but very friendly, coffee in Leavenworth.
We were walking around Leavenworth, expecting to find some kitschy (and if you’re in Leavenworth complaining about kitsch you need to get over yourself and embrace it) schwartzenkafe or the like, and stumbled upon J5.
It was delicious, and the service was great.

Ordered the Chai Tea Latte and it was good but not great. I guess they are known for their coffee and not their tea. This is a family ran business. The husband and wife works in the coffee shop. The owner is very friendly.
The owner, Jesse said he roast the beans himself and yes they didn’t grow the coffee beans. They have a high tech expresso machine.
The décor is interesting. Very spacious only issue not much seats. Unless you stand and drink your coffee. They have a few stools at the counter and no other seats. Not like that typical coffee shop where you can relax and sit and chat with friends.
I am giving 5 stars for awesome friendly service.

This is quite honestly the best coffee shop around. They appreciate quality coffee, have great customer service, and a good atmosphere. Find J5 and give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Great customer service! We got to meet the owners, a small young family. They are great and have started a specialty coffee shop. Amazing coffee. My personal favorite for the summer is their almond vanilla latte. So delicious and perfect!
They also offer a variety of unique coffee gear to make great coffee at home.
Love stopping by here daily whenever we are in town! We need one of these exact ones in Seattle please!

Cute and different coffee shop located in Leavenworth. Definitely not your typical tourist attraction here. Jesse the owner was great and knowledgeable and great to talk to. We missed an earlier tasting that day and he still gave us the coffee to taste, very nice of him.
It’s a bit slow because it’s a one man show, but if you have time it’s great to stop by and learn something about coffee.

Our visit to J5 Coffee during a recent trip to Leavenworth was simply a delight! Walking around Leavenworth seeking some iced coffee, we found the little gem of J5 down one of the tiny streets and decided this is where we needed to stop in. Jesse the owner greeted us with a smile and adorable little man Caed was manning the cash register. Our coffee was hand pressed and poured over ice with a shot of vanilla added to sweeten the already delicious and refreshing treat.
Jesse shared his story of J5 and how they prefer to roast fresh coffee beans in micro batches to keep the full flavor of the beans, providing a superior coffee. The people who run J5 Coffee are true lovers of coffee and experts in their craft. The entire process comes together providing at truly exceptional experience and a fabulous cup of coffee.
