Ordered to-go food from here on a whim for my family. When I got home and began to eat my, «Del Rio» I believe it was called, first thing I noticed was my seafood enchilada was cold. Now, I know what you’re thinking, it’s to go food. But, my family’s food was hot and seemed fresh, and I only live less than five minutes from there. then after I reheated everything in the oven, my first bite of my chicken taco had half a drumstick bone in it. I was a loyal Gringo’s customer for years, and will not be returning to this establishment anytime soon.

We had my wife’s… well it was an important birthday. I’m a smart man so I know to not give a number. We had a room set up and we had at least 30 people. Our waiters were Justin and Deion. They did an amazing job! I couldn’t have hoped for more attentive folks to give us a great evening. I don’t usually give ratings like this, but for a group that big to get service that good is something to talk about. Good job y’all.

His name is terry. He prevented my family from breaking religious dietary laws set for us by allah. Many times we have eaten at jimmy Changas and we were told by our previous servers that our flour tortillas we were eating with our meals were pork free which caused us to eat contrary to OUR beliefs. Terry went so far as to hand write a list of pork Fred options as well as several ways to turn a dish from pork to pork free. The paper was a piece used to take orders and was crude but well serving and great esp since he did this while taking care of his other customers. The best one allowed us to experience the fajita bowl with black beans substituted for refried beans. Ty terry

Decent Tex-Mex. I’ve never had a bad meal here, though some of the choices can be on the bland side. The chile relleno is a little dull, but I do enjoy the seafood enchiladas. The grandkids love the small outdoor playground. They(and we) would enjoy it even more if others would control their children. It might behoove the management to employ an attendant to observe and enforce some guidance in the play area.

Wonderful food and great environment. I’ve heard about this place but never been. I was told they’re affiliated with Gringos and I love Gringos. We had done some shopping in the area and we stopped here for lunch. It’s very family friendly and a great for adults and couples too. We sat near the bar and had a view of the kids play area. My son loved the food and so did the whole family. I had Steak salad in the picture and it was wonderful. Margaritas were excellent. I will definitely recommend and come back.

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and always enjoy my meal, last visit was this past Sunday around lunch time. I’ve had their enchiladas, machete salad, fish tacos, and quesadillas in the past. I think all are above average and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is fun and loud. Very similar to Gringo’s(I think it’s the same company). Wait staff is friendly but not particularly great. It was a little difficult to get our waitress’ attention but it was a busy Sunday afternoon. On that note, there were several people waiting for a table but the wait was only about 10 minutes. Parking is in a private lot and usually isn’t an issue. Outdoor seating and a playground for the kids. I always enjoy my meal here, stop by when you’re in that part of town!

Really I prefer real Mexican and not Tex-Mex, but my bro insisted for this place. My granma and I shared the El Rio – chicken taco, pork tamale, a seafood enchilada, cheese empanada and a chorizo empanada. I thought it was good enough for sharing since I can eat the seafood and veggie options. The cheese empanada is fried and smaller than I expected. It’s more snack-size. The seafood enchilada has crawfish and shrimp – actually good. The pork tamale, she said, was extremely salty and she didn’t like it. It also came with charro beans – not bad, not great. My bro enjoyed his chicken enchilada, especially the poblano cream sauce over it. The chips were warm and fresh. We enjoyed both the dips. Service can be a little slow esp at lunch time. But hey, free appetizer and free(ice cream) dessert? Heck to the yeah.

White people Mexican food, and I’m English. Terrible food, terrible service. Granted, I’m not local to this area, but I’ve got to imagine there’s much better food around here.

This is the first time I have been here. My girlfriend was telling me about this place since I love Chuy’s and decided to go this weekend. Amazing Tex-Mex and highly recommend. The atmosphere is very fun and the waiter was funny and attentive to our needs. Place is always clean, and food was amazing. Love their chimichangas. A+

We like Jimmy Changas. The wait is sometimes horrendous, but the service is usually pretty good and the green sauce is awesome. I really like the dirty Tostados and stacked pork enchiladas. The kids love the play ground and the free ice cream is always a plus

This place is fun-tastic! My husband who doesn’t even like Tex Mex(I know right? Who doesn’t like Tex Mex?!) enjoyed dining here. First off, their restaurant is colorful, happy and fun(inside and out). I have been wanting to come here forever and finally got to try it. They have a play area named Jimmy’s Jungle by the patio dining outside, kids get in for free by ordering any kids meal. Being a parent, this is Great!!! Chips & Salsa, Icecream in vanilla/chocolate are all complimentary. Their drinks are delicious, and food was good too. I got the Chunky Monkey, yum! For entrée I tried the Jimmy Changas, can’t go wrong with a dish named after the place right? It was delicious. I had a side of black beans, personally always like those more than retried. It also came with a side of something similar to chili con queso, made my chips more fun to eat, and always a hit with children too. Our server Autumn was super sweet. She was a young, happy and efficient gal, and checked on us often to make sure we had everything and we’re happy with our orders. I’d definitely come back here again!

Oh, you’re a lover of Tex-Mex? Do stop here. Cute monkey, great food! Oh yes, free ice cream(it’s just the vanilla/chocolate/mix dispenser — hey, don’t get greedy, it’s FREE and you even get a cone!)! Staff: I have yet to encounter any issues with the staff. I haven’t had an overly awesome experience that I remember any names, but definitely no horror stories. Price: Costs more than your typical mom and pop Mexican restaurant but not Pappasito’s. Atmosphere: I like it. Nice blend of cool(kewl) with warmth(they have a faux fireplace — that counts, right?) They have outside seating(for the days when you’re not melting from the heat) and a nice little waterfall backdrop. There is also a little playground for the younglings when you just want to eat in peace(sort of). Menu: It’s a pretty good list. They offer a few things only available there. I would recommend their huge queso mix dip as an appetizer. Ask them what it’s called because I don’t remember(it’s called Queso Loco at their brother/sister location, Gringo’s). I did say, «huge,» right? Don’t get it if you’re alone, unless it will serve as your entrée. Loyalty: It’s a restaurant. You don’t want to go to one place every day of the week.(But you can if you want). Don’t let me leave here without mentioning: THEYHAVETHEBESTCHIPSANDSALSA/GREEN SAUCECOMBO! If I weren’t an honest person, I’d sit down, grab my water, fill up on those while pretending to look at the menu, then tell my waiter my date ditched me and let those tears flow on my way out. Tears from guilt and for my Oscar.

I love it here! Went to lunch with my husband and was very happy! The server we had gave great suggestions, was very knowledgable, and dealt with my indecisiveness. I believe her name was Desiray, she’s awesome! I got fajita salad and soup, and my husband got a chimichanga. Flavorful and perfect portions. Highly recommended for those that love fajitas and great Tex-Mex food, but don’t want to pay the outrageous prices other places charge.

Excellent meal tonight! Got to try something different than the garden variety Tex-Mex. Service was fast from the warm greeting at the door to seating. Meal was out quickly and it was hot and fresh! Ordered seafood enchiladas. Great combination of shrimp and crawfish tails. White wine sauce was superb. Sides of refried beans and rice complimented the dish very well. Free ice cream to top it off at the end. A great family place, need to open one of these in the Fort Worth, TX area! Cheers!

Parking: Medium ~ large parking area as they have their own parking lot. Time and Day: Arrived on a Sunday at 5:00PM and was immediately seated for two people. Had no wait and the restaurant looked like it was 75% full. Food: They have complimentary chips and sauce so if you are really hungry, you have some food to keep you busy while you order your meal. I got the seafood enchilada($ 10.89) and overall the food was delicious! The avocado and lettuce was served fresh, I can taste the shrimp in each bite from the enchilada, beans were good, but the rice was like any other rice.(Nothing too special about the rice) Also there is an ice cream machine(nothing special about the ice cream here as it is the same one you see at buffets) that you can get as you leave the restaurant. There is only chocolate and vanilla flavor. Overall the food gets a 5⁄5. Service: Our waiter was very nice. He greeted and smiled at us, and checked on us while we ate. He also noticed that we need boxes to take the food to go so he went ahead and got the boxes for us. Service is excellent so it gets 5⁄5. Price: Seafood enchilada is only $ 10.89 and it filled me up and was delicious. That is pretty cheap for delicious food(plus the complimentary chips and ice cream). Price gets a 5⁄5. Overall: An excellent restaurant that provides quality Mexican food with cheap prices. Overall, this place gets a 5⁄5.

Jimmy Changas has a very fun environment and great for families! The food was good-soup, enchiladas and quesadillas were all great size portions and we left with some to-go boxes! The downside was the drinks, I ordered a margarita and the first time it was very watered down, they remade it and then all I could taste was the sour put into it. Figured this just wasn’t the place to get my margarita fix(shame since it’s a Mexican restaurant.) and opted for a drink by server recommendation. Bad idea! I told the server I don’t like sweet drinks and I got a glass muddled with sweet cherry liquor. I left it after a sip. Good food and good time, just be weary of the drink menu!
