Motel 6

The room had a very strong chemical smell that took 3 days to dissipate. I skipped room cleanings so they would not reintroduce the smell, and I had the air conditioner on full blast to keep the air moving, but it still took days. It did not seem healthy, is probably poisonous, and may lead to a class action lawsuit…
This is the second Motel 6 I have visited, and the same smell. I won’t be going back to Motel 6 ever again.

Good rate, clean room and friendly staff. Pretty decent little breakfast place to the immediate west. Would not hesitate to stay there again. I have another trip to the area coming up and I will stay here if at all possible.

So on my second night of driving from California to Chicago, we stayed at the motel 6. We stayed here because it was righ off the express way. We got there and it was an easy check in, woman at the desk seemed like she was new and was needing some assistance, but it went realitiviely quick. They were friendly.
We got a Handicap room bc I requested we be on the first floor. It was ok, room was nice enough. My sister walks into the bathroom and goes to me: «is that a cockroach» by the time I got to the bathroom it was gone!!! Then in the morning in the same spot there was a small spider crawling up the wall! Ewww! The room was clean! The bigs were getting in through the hole where the toilet plumbing was connected so I think if they just sealed it it’d be ok… But then again cockroach?
Since it was a long day of driving we didn’t care to complain or move rooms!
We were gonna get up by 6:30 but I kept waking up to men talking and trucks just on sitting outside the room.
ALL IN ALL it was ok dispite the bugs. For paying 60 bucks and NOT having to pay for my doggy to stay I was happy enough. The quality inn was gonna charged 20 bucks for him! But I had a much better night sleep the night before at the Days Inn! If Lawton had a Days Inn I’d stay there!

Housekeeper very nice! But only has 10 cable channels… no breakfast… and is always out of ice!
