As of 20 November 2015 Holy Chip is closed. Their website indicates this as well, Too bad, it was a nice change from more generic Tex-Mex.

Love love love this place! I would eat here more if they stayed open later… but I get that I’m not the norm with eating habits. The staff is always friendly and helpful with suggestions! They take pride in their food and their restaurant. It is always clean! I love the queso and I usually try something different every time that we eat here. My favorite is the pollo loco. If you don’t like spicy food let them know! My mom feels their food is a little on the spicy side. The fried avocado is awesome too!

Amazing food and customer service. My wife and I absolutely love the choriqueso… a must have appetizer. The owner, Dan, is great and treats his customers with excellence. He has a young man there that is a waiter. He totally rocks it on his service to customers. He reminds us alot of movie star Andy Sandberg. We definitely will remain regulars of Holy Chip.

We enjoy this place and so do our picky kids. I recommend the fried enchiladas and the chicken flautas. They serve Mexican food with a twist & flair of deliciousness. The owners are very kind and always have a smile on their face. Their staff takes their time to explain and answer any questions you may have about the menu. I feel welcomed every time I stop in to eat. They have quite a variety of different entrees & I look forward to trying out all of them.

Great family run Mexican restaurant with friendly service. Holy Chip is our new favorite Mexican food. I ordered the Raging Bull and my hubs had Tacos Rico. Wow so fresh and flavorful! The chori queso was perfect and the chips so crispy! If you haven’t eaten at Holy Chip, you’re missing out!

This is the best Mexican food I’ve found in Lawton. I got the barracuda burrito with some jalapeño/tomatillo sauce on the side, which when it arrived took up the whole plate. I was stuffed about ¾ of the way through it, but had to finish it. Definitely going back!

I just had the most amazing tamales at Holy Chip, and I’m kind of a tamale snob. Came here for lunch full of hope after reading reviews on Unilocal and I was not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was wonderful. A previous review mentioned that the only drink options were bottled drinks available for purchase– that issue has been remedied, fountain drinks and iced tea, both with free refills, are available. I’m rarely in Lawton, but I’ll be sure to come back when I am.

Honestly this place has my favorite food in town! Ninja fries were always my «go to» meal until I tried the deep fried enchiladas! Complete heaven in my mouth! The staff is the most wonderful family you’ll ever meet! They always take great care of their guests and have the freshest menu in town!!! Love the Duran’s so much and love everything they’re doing at Holy Chip!

Great flavors, great service. Awesome desserts. My only problem is that I live in Texas and won’t be able to come back anytime soon.

While searching for a place to celebrate my son’s boot camp graduation, we found an ad for Holy Chip! Fantastic food, great service, amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend the bistec tacos, as well as the sopapilla cheesecake.

If you want a good place that is family owned and you can see them making your food this is it Good luck finding a seat during rush hour – you might just have to sit at the outside tables Everyone loves it! Great atmosphere and good food. Try the fried avacado! It’s a must. Go for the food – enjoy the company.

Ok, found this thanks to Unilocal!Small on the outside, but very large on flavors! Order the Chips and Holy Queso. It is the best I’ve had away from Home! Creamy goodness, with meat in the bowl. Chips are light and freshly made. The deep fried Avacado came with shrimp, taco meat, bacon, rice and was Queso, does come with Pico, not in our picture. I must say my Burrito is amazing layers of flavor. Thanks to the Duke of Holy Chips for his review. This is worth the stop!

First: TASTYTASTYTASTY!!! Second: This is a very nice family owned restaurant. Just starting out with eight tables and happy customers. Every menu item can be happily customized. More onions? Less cheese? No issues here. The portion sizes are ample, and occasional intimidation for the faint of heart. The flavors are rich and delightful after the bland meals from chain restaurants. Want some heat in your meal? They have it. Careful though, you will get what you ask for. ;-)

3.5 stars, rounded up because the family who owns and operates this new restaurant is friendly and helpful, and make me wish I could give them an extra star just for personality. The food at Holy Chip is made completely to order. Fresh ingredients, innovative recipes, and the ability to customize to your tastes is a wonderful thing to find anywhere, and was completely unexpected in a tiny strip mall(do four storefronts even count as a strip mall? Shopping center sounds even more absurd.) between a tattoo parlor and a dry cleaner. Sure enough, stepping through the door to the clean, modern restaurant gives you the instant knowledge that you have found something different in this town. So far we’ve tried tacos, a burrito, and the Katana fries. Each dish had something that needed to be altered, and each alteration was made with a smile. The tacos and burrito were both filled with well seasoned chicken and a nice amount of lettuce and tomato. Not huge portions, but enough to fill an empty stomach. I also ordered a side of their amazing green chili sauce, which is a perfect blend of pork and spicy peppers, and which I plan to eat as a stew the next time I’m there. The Katana fries were huge, and had every flavor combination possible on one platter. I probably won’t order it again, but only because it was much more food than I want to eat at one sitting. An entire plate of waffle fries covered in chicken, carne asada, pork, shrimp, guacamole, salsa, cheese, and sour cream meant that this was the only food ate all day. I’m so glad I had it for lunch instead of dinner! I’ll also skip the chips and salsa next time. The chips must be ordered, and while they were fine, they simply were not worth the extra cost, and were not needed alongside the rest of the food. Drinks are sold by the bottle, and include a nice selection of specialty Mexican sodas. Still, no free refills can be difficult for some people, so plan your sips accordingly. I am happy to see a new restaurant in town, and even happier to say that it is a welcome addition, especially since there are already so many Mexican restaurants here. Go try the delicious food being served by this nice family. Just be ready to spend quite a few dollars more than you would in a different restaurant.
