Italian Pie

Amazing pasta and pizza everything was delicious and made to order, we also got the cinnamon knots with Nutella what what??! Yess nuttela people ! Don’t go to Olive Garden for your pasta come here it is so delicious and super cheap I think 10.50 for huge bowl and warm soft bread, the pizza was super warm and the crust was nice and crispy like I like it yummmm!

I must say that I did enjoy the pizza here. I have been twice. The first time it was great. The second time the crust was a little too thick. You could tell that the person who was «slapping the dough» that night was not as good. All in all this place is better than the regular chains but not as good as a few other «NY Style» pizza parlors.

The food here is always delicious if you’re will to wait for it. Definitely not fast food but great food!

The pizza is to die for. I usually go downtown for good pizza but I’m glad I don’t have to anymore. They haven’t failed me yet. The tacos are good too.

I had family from out of town visit, and they wanted pizza since it would be quick and plentiful. I told them to let me take care of it, since I know this pizza is the best around! They loved it, they were so surprised and sad that they don’t have this pizza joint in San Antonio!
I always have a good experience here, and every time I tell a friend, they are never disappointed.
The customer service is always good, everyone is always friendly and helpful! I will always be an Italian pie lover, and if I ever have a bad experience, I’ll probably cry.

I’ve been here so many times, and I’ll continue to support them. Customer service is always top notch. Can’t beat good service, nice atmosphere, and good food.

I was at this spot at 950 pm. Upon asking if they were open was told yes. I started to order and was told they could not cook the food. A restaurant that is not cooking food is closed!!#

Reminds me of my local pizza place back on Long Island. Good Pizza, Calzones, wings and the service is great.

I’m a Bronx native so it really is a difficult task to find pizza on the same playing field up north.
This place is nice. Very family oriented shop including goodies for the kids. My godson enjoyed himself. He’s 4. He’s excited to be out anywhere! Lol.
When it comes down to the pie, it was not what i expected from a store titled ITALIAN PIE. The pizza was bland & lacked authentic Italian flavors. I could have made better pizza at home.
The pizza failed to impress me even with the table spices & garlic. They gave it a good shot just didn’t make the cut.

Based on the good reviews, I stopped in here since I was shopping in the area. It wasn’t expecting for a pizza parlor. More like a fast food joint. The cashier was a lovely young girl. I wish her well. She was very helpful and pointed me towards the lunch specials since I was having difficulties figuring out what I wanted. I opted for two slices. Pepperoni and garlic. Comes with a fountain soda. Food arrived quickly. Decently large slices. I was not a fan of the pepperoni– not high quality. The garlic looked like it had just been spooned out of a jar and tossed on the pizza. I am guessing since they likely just reheated some cheese pizza that they had available as many places that serve slices do. I usually don’t have to blot off oil from my pizza, but I did at Italian Pie. This is a gem of a place for the staff. Wonderful people. They definitely make you feel like you matter as a customer. I would give this place and extra .5 star for that if I could. Food was just OK.
NOTE: Another great thing. A very big menu. Should be able to accomodate many different tastes.

Would love to tell you about the food, but I can’t. Got there 30 minutes before closing. They told me I couldn’t sit down and dine, I would have to take it to go.
Be aware that their hours of operation are NOT correct for dining in. Would have been nice to know that before I drove 25 minutes to get here.
Unilocal has them listed with a 10:00 p.m. close Sunday. I got there at 8:32 p.m. Their door says 9:00. I told them Unilocal has them listed as 10:00. They could not have cared less that I wasted my time.
I will not be coming back.

Greasy as Hell food. I am not asking for a pizza joint to be all dry and healthy but this is over the top greasy. But they have huge pizzas and they are good when all fresh and warm, have philly cheesesteaks which are absolute health hazards and fries that drip with oil for real.
Give this place a shot if you like oil, no if you really like oil, otherwise stay away. LOL.
Nevertheless service is quite good, and if you want to dine in make sure you go before 9.00 otherwise they are going to act as if they want to throw you out.

I was going to write a very nice, 4 or 5 star review of this place because service was always fast and ravioli was good until a bad experience. I ordered the cheese ravioli for take out as usual until i got home and it had a white sauce. it comes with MARINARA SAUCE stated on their menu and like i said, i get it all the time! I called immediately and the gentleman apologized and asked if i wanted a credit or to come back since it was 10 mins before they closed. I lived 5 mins away and i was starving so i said i would come back.
I went back and gave the gentleman back the wrong order and i sat down to wait for him. The young teenaged lady came to ask me what i was waiting for and i said the gentleman was taking care of me. Told her my cheese ravioli had alfredo sauce instead of marinara
Her: it comes with afredo sauce
me: no it doesnt
her: yes it does
me: –_​– *not today satan* actually, it comes with marinara, i get it all the time and on your website, it says marinara
her: no it doesnt. it says on the website and the menu that it comes with alfredo and if you wanted marinara you should have asked (she took my order over the phone btw)
me: if i had the option to change it then you should have asked me if the alfredo sauce was ok. you did ask me if 5 ravioli was okay o₀
At that point the guy who i think was the manager says *i got it. im sorry ma’am your order’s coming up” when he saw the back and forth.
I pulled up their website on my phone and showed her where it says clearly CHEESE RAVIOLI WITH MARINARA SAUCE. She had a «oops» look on her face.
I havent been back there since and wont return. The ravioli is good but not THAt good. I hope the manager coached her because that was unecessary. I understand that she’s young but at least be knowledgeable about stuff before arguing with clients.

Food — Delicious! This place has a lot of interesting specialty pizzas. It also has a Mexican menu too (that was surprising)! Italian and Mexican under one roof — yesssss!
I had the firecracker chicken pizza. It’s legit! It’s also spicy! (I actually had them use the marinara, instead of the Buffalo sauce though).
Prices — Reasonable
Atmosphere — A bit outdated, but those «hole-​in-​the-​wall» places always have the best food, right?!
Service — Friendly :)
Overall: I’d recommend it. I can’t wait to try the fish tacos.

Bottom line: Surprisingly good food, large portions, decent prices, broad menu, less-​than-​stellar ambiance.
My son and I dropped in for dinner. The first thing that struck me was the stark florescent lighting, which made the place look like a pizza carry-​out. I was honestly not expecting much. The menu is vast — tacos, subs, Italian fare, Greek salad, and even odd mixtures, like a «Mexican pie» that looked like a South-​of-​the-​border lasagna.
I had the baked ziti, with a Greek salad, and my son had the medium calzone. The salad was fresh, with greens, feta cheese, red onion, peperoncini, and olives, and the ziti portion was huge, with three large meatballs — and it was really pretty good. The sauce was a bit runny, like a marinara, and not thick and sweet, and the meatballs were pretty tasty — not over-​seasoned, and tender.
My son’s pepperoni and onion calzone was more onion than pepperoni. He reported it was pretty good.
The format is fast casual — order at the counter, take a number, and a server brings the food. Self-​serve on the drinks.
The big downside, though, was the atmosphere. Between the lighting and old vinyl booths, it looked like it was run on a shoestring budget. If the lighting were replaced by incandescent lamps it would make a huge difference. There is a fish place next door, and the contrast between it and Italian Pie is immediately obvious.
Unilocal check-​in special — free glass of wine. Nice!

Best pizza in town for a pizzeria! Lunch specials are AWESOME! I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Great prices, service, and best of all… the food is Great!
A place that I will visit frequently!

My friend and I were in Lawrenceville so we decided to grab some pizza/​pasta. I ordered a small pizza, he ordered baked zetti, and we split it ⁵⁰⁄₅₀. This turned out to be a great idea.
The zetti was great, cheesy, saucey, and satisfied me 100%. The pizza was decent, kind of soggy, but overall not bad. Plenty of toppings and seasoning, they did a good job.
The only thing that would have put this place over the top into the 5-​star stratosphere would have been some bread and butter at the table. I know it’s hard to ask from a place like this for lunch, but that would have done it for me.
But overall it was a great experience.

So, I saw the OTP newsletter about pizza and I had been craving it since the weekend — this place was number 1, my boyfriend was down so — we ended up here! The pizzeria is located on the edge of a shopping mall. This makes it convenient to enter from the surrounding streets depending on which area you’re coming from. The restaurant is perfectly lit so you’re able to see if they’re open or not from the street.
When you walk in, there are booths to the left and right of you and you pass a few tables as you walk to the counter. You get to the counter to order and there’s a HUGE menu awaiting your arrival so you can order whatever you’d like. This place has everything! They have an array of tacos, pizza, pasta, wings, wine, beer and the list goes on and on.
I decided to get what I know I like — sausage and extra cheese or meat lovers. I didn’t realize the slices were so large so I ordered a regular meat lovers slice and a Sicilian slice w/​extra cheese and sausage. Once you order, you’ll get a number and they will bring the pizza out to your table. On the table they have crushed red pepper, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Being from Jersey, I had to bump the rating down from 5 to 4 stars because they didn’t have garlic powder on the table.
There are 3 big tvs in the dining area for your viewing pleasure. In the direction I was facing I was able to watch ET (Entertainment Tonight) & in the direction of my boyfriend’s view he was able to watch UFC’s Ultimate Knockouts. Perfection!
The pizza was pretty tasty! I loved how big the slices were. Nice and cheesy, fresh and hot! The meat lovers has sausage, ground beef, pepperoni & ham. The slice had just the right amount of cheese under all the different meet. Just delish! The Sicilian slice was nice and thick. The extra cheese was a nice touch! Not disappointed in the least. My boyfriend also got 2 slices and our dinner was about $ 13! (Sometimes, I can be a cheap date lol)
It’s fairly close to my house so I don’t doubt that I will return. sooner rather than later. Do yourself a favor and grab a slice if you’re ever in the area!

Italian Pie for me says Delicious! I have had several things on the menu and everything has been sooo good.
From what I remember, a while back this location had pizza/​italian on one side and Mexican food on the other. They have merged together and have become one FABULOUS place to eat!
I came alone the first time. After that I bragged with some leftovers taken home to my family about how good everything was. Now they always want to come along with me!

My favorites are the pasta dishes (Alfredo :) it comes with a chilled glass of wine if you check in on Unilocal!I also really like the Italian sub, The Mexican pie with sour cream on the side add jalapenos and its a GO!
The sicilian pizza is my families favorite, it’s HUGE and we always have extra to take home.
If your anywhere near Bethesda rd, and hwy 29 in Lawrenceville give them a try.
