Went to the buffet on a Saturday night. Crab legs was the specialty item. The cost $ 32.00. The sign outside the restaurant said crab leg night will be moving to Friday nights 2⁄2016. I arrived about 8:30PM. The line was not very long and moved rather fast. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated for a party of nine. The waitress was very friendly and did a good job keeping the drinks filled. She checked on us frequently. The food on the salad bar appeared fresh And well stocked. There was a variety of salad dressings. The hot food had two sides with duplicate items on both sides. The vegetables were seasoned well. The chicken taste as if it was cooked in old grease. Not horrible but I have had better quality from here in the past. Many in my party enjoyed the crab legs. The crab legs were unlimited. Most of the food I chose was ok. The overall quality of food on this trip was a little underwhelming in comparison to my visit about a year ago. I won’t let this experience stop me from trying the buffet again. Hopefully, it was just the time of day we chose to visit that contributed to the perceived decreased quality of food. On a brighter note the dessert bar has remained the same. There were plenty of delicious options to choose from.

I enjoy eating at casino buffets. Usually, they employ highly skilled chefs, culinary artists, & other food service workers. I’m sure this place does the same, but is probably on the lower end of the spectrum as far as: 1) Food taste 2) Quality 3) Selecion Not to mention, this place has a confusing layout. Almost get lost looking for the hot bars. Overall, I’m being generous with 3 stars. If your looking for a great buffet in the Cincinnati and surrounding areas then this isn’t your place.

I’m not really sure what rating to give this buffet. We hadn’t been there for a while, but decided to go while staying at the hotel.(And, spending our children’s inheritance in the casino.) We ate lunch on Wednesday. It was really great! My husband had the soup, fried chicken and vegetables. He thought it was perfect. He had carrot cake and didn’t like that so much. It had too much cinnamon for his taste. I had the salad, roast turkey and vegies, hot wings and shaker pie. It was good mostly. The wings were really, really, really good, but I’m not sure I’d want to spend the going price for a plate of wings. The salad vegetables were very fresh. I loved it. The shaker pie was kind of bland. If you were of a certain age(ahem — elderly), the price on Wednesday was $ 7.99. If you have a players card, it is normally $ 12.99 — $ 14.99 without. We decided to come back for dinner. That was $ 21.99 with a players card; $ 23.99 without. They had almost all the same things they had for lunch. As a matter of fact, the cheese trays and soups looked like they hadn’t been changed since lunch. They had a little bit of everything — Chinese, Mexican, Italian. Of course they had the usual pork loin, ribs, pot roast, etc. Some things looked okay. Some were really dried out. I guess those items didn’t appeal to anyone. They now have prime rib every night. I wanted the prime rib, but I like mine a little bit more towards medium. It was being carved in the middle and was pretty rare.(Okay. It was lying in a pool of blood.) The buffet server offered to «put it on the grill» while I got the rest of my food. I came back a few minutes later and she was walking towards me with the meat. It was brown on the outside so I thought it was a little more done. When I got to the table, it was raw. I gave it a shot. It was not only raw, but tough. Needless to say, I had a vegetarian meal that night. Their hours have been cut over the last several years. They no longer serve breakfast. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday. I guess the Ohio casinos are cutting into their profits. I liked the salad bar, soup, hot wings, shrimp and some of the vegetables. The desserts were pretty good. I think lunch is the better choice and next time we come, we’ll eat there and have dinner at Hops House 99.

This is the worst buffet besides French lick casino for the price! Fish and chicken ran out of salmon had no pork or beef! When you pay 21.99 you should get more then fried chicken that is dry and cat fish that is slimy! It is awful and several other people were making comments also! And being valentines weekend and Styx concert you would of thought they would care a little more! But the women we got our players card from were very nice so we might try the dinner buffet next time since they gave us free ones so we will go back but no way for brunch!

On a Friday I’m totally in love with this buffet! All you can eat crab legs bring me joy! Although the spread is not as exciting as I’d like it to be I must say you have to appreciate the all you can eat crab legs. Where else can you go to get bottomless crab legs for about $ 30. I figure even if I go back for 3 plates with only 4 sets of legs per plate I’ve exceeded what I can get for that price at any local seafood restaurant… Red Lobster not included as I do not view them as quality seafood. Great service but not quite my idea of seafood… However, I am able to enjoy plentiful crab legs followed by the greatest bread pudding and rum sauce as I would like! If you love crab legs join me here Friday’s starting at 4pm ending at 10pm! If you see me don’t judge me or my plates… Just say hello and keep it moving since I’m in my happy place!

I haven’t been here in a few years but can’t believe the decline in quality. Half of the food was empty or looked like it has been sitting there for hours. The selection was limited to a few inedible foods that were dry and disgusting. The desserts were warm(tried the cheesecake and Boston crème pie) and tasteless. The salad lettuce was brown and dry. The bread was baked together. I wouldn’t pay ten bucks for this buffet. At least there was no line. I wouldn’t recommend gambling at Hollywood casino anymore either as they have no perks left to offer.

Toey my girlfriend was craving for all you can eat crab legs for lunch… guess what it’s only on Friday nights. So we ended up going there for lunch. We were starved, I was so hungry starved I was eating on the buffet while piling my food, like a trough. I got the stuffed ravioli… OMG yummy fresh Mash potatoes. Forget damn salad. Looking for the main course. Fried chicken was fresh n tender. Beef tender was great. I ate in gluttony… stuff to the gills. I will go back for the crab legs next time.

Friday night dinner buffet is Awesome! All you can eat crab legs are big and plentiful. Add to this shrimp scampi, fried shrimp, cold boiled shrimp, roast beef, and numerous other delightful items. The desserts are great and petite portions let you try several different ones. Highly recommend it

When you go with your sister and brother-in-law for an anniversary night out you have expectations that the hype is equal to what you actually get at a casino and it’s hyped buffet Not the case here in Lawrenceburg as we experienced. So sad, the the place was slightly filled at dinner time, 6:00PM. It was appearant to all four of us we were not the most important people to the workers when we showed up. In our opinion we got a half-hearted smile, from the cashier, never a comment from the numerous steam line attendants; asking if we found what we liked or if they could assist; who in our opinion were more interested in scraping pans and placing the over done leavings into the next pan they placed onto the line, that was not an appetizing appearance. I have been told by many food service professionals that even a on a steam line presentation is of the utmost importance. Next is the taste of the food so you have other patrants extol the ambience and exquiste cusine, even on a buffet line. I have been to Las Vegas and have never found a sub-par line, at any trime of day or day of the week — hint hint. With the high price we were charged we had asked was there an opportunity to reduce our costs; again the person with a «Give a care» attitude, in our mind, made a passing comment that«you can go upstairs and get a card that will get a few bucks off». We later found the«Player’s club» card offered a discount that would have made our meal more palatable”. When we left we met the first person who appeared to care we were there. She smiled and asked if we enjoyed our meal. I guess that was a rouse too. When I mentioned how poorly appoijnted the steam line was and that the food was overcooked and not tasty she commedted«I’m sorry you felt that way» end of story, she walked away. In our humble opinion she validated the initial treatment we got when we arrived; that we most definitely were not the most important people at that moment to the workers. In closing I guess when a business doesn’t show the importance of customer to the customers there is only one final outcome, they will have no customers and the food will still be a sad commentary of what could have been a highlight rather than an after thought. What an epic misuse of corporate assets.

Sooooooo, it’s the 6th of July and I don’t want another piece of grilled meat. I’ve got family in town and they don’t want any grilled meat either. What to do, what to do? Some anti-grilled meat eater makes a suggestion to go the buffet at the casino. They’ve heard it’s pretty good. My collection of anti-grilled meat eaters agree to give the buffet at the casino a shot, and away we go to Indiana. I have to admit, I have done my fair share of casino buffets in my day(e.g. a week in Vegas with a specific mission to dine at each and every buffet Sin City had to offer), so I didn’t really have any expectations. I don’t know if it was the heat or what, but the food was really good. We went on a Friday night and just happened to catch the Seafood Buffet. The seafood buffet is a bit pricey($ 26/person) but since there is a never-ending supply of Alaskan crab legs, who am I to complain(as ya’ll well know my penchant for crab legs). The rest of the buffet was worth the money though. There is an array of salads, soups, veggies, meats(mostly non-grilled thank you very much), and desserts. Oh the desserts(re: bread pudding w/caramel and rum sauce)! After dinner, we spent a little time walking around the casino(walking down dinner was more like it) and eventually made it to the penny slots where we all won and lost the same $ 1. :-) Overall, I would go back any day and any time to enjoy the buffet. Kudos, Hollywood Casino and Epic Buffet.

So not worth it. Here for breakfast. Very limited selection. Prepackaged heat and serve. Went there to eat before gambling. If there was someplace closer we would have asked for a refund and left.
