The entry to the hotel and casino area the smoking section on each floor of the garage. Once you get pat this area the hotel and casino is clean, tastefully decorated and inviting for a night out. There are many bars and restaurants to serve as gathering spots suitable for a crowd or a more intimate setting. I saw several groups headed to the boogie nights lounge. It was not very crowded for a Saturday night. The next time I go back I think I will plan to stay overnight and enjoyed some additional areas the casino hotel has to offer.

Hotel room was comfortable, except for the smoke smell constantly coming through the room, from either the hallway of the vent in the bathroom. We were in a non smoking room, so there is no other reason for this. After a great meal, spending time in the casino, I wanted to go back and do a few things on the internet. FORGETABOUTIT! This has to be the worst internet every, it won’t connect and when it does it does not allow to go anywhere but their home page. Why bother to say you have free WIFI if your hotel guests can not use it after being in your casino and restaurants. Not sure we will make the trip to this hotel and casino again. If we visit the area we will be staying at the Doubletree, at least I know they have internet that works as advertised. Oh forgot to note, everytime someone flushed the toilet in another room, it was like it was in your room, paper thin… Regarding food: If you want toast that is made on grill instead of in a toaster, dry horrible thin scrambled eggs, be sure to visit Celebrity Grill. Next morning we visited the Hollywood & Grind, now there is a nice little place to grab a bite. We had the Big bacon and they were excellent. The wait staff was great. Epic buffet Prime Rib and seafood was great.

Everyone smokes. Everyone. This place could be SOGREAT but the arrogant smug smokers ruin all of it. Great table games, drinks not too pricey and food is decent. But the smoke. Play online instead.

Meh. The entire facility is well enough appointed for a local place, and is quite clean and well kept. I visited here for a bachelor party of about 20. The steakhouse is excellent though too expensive for the area. A delightful 12-ounce fillet Mignon(USDA prime, and, I suspect, dry-aged) was $ 36, Fat Tire Amber(limited beer selection) was a reasonable $ 6, and a top-shelf martini was $ 18. They were very accommodating to our party and handled the over-intoxication of the bachelor with grace and forebearance. Don’t be surprised to find a mix of people ranging from yokels in sleveless t-shirts to other young professionals such as ourselves in weekend casual. We didn’t visit their club, but the line to get in was packed with relatively well-dressed people who seemed to be having a good time and several bachelorette parties.

Personally, I thought Argosy was much cooler when it actually left its dock and cruised along the Ohio River. However, those hourly cruises are a thing of the past, so this«riverboat» casino is now permanently anchored. I’m not much of a gambler, so I’ll usually take $ 20 bucks to blow(I rarely have the skills to win, let alone break even). Games featured at Argosy include live and video poker, slots, blackjack, roulette, craps, let-it-ride-, mini-baccarat, and more. Whether you favor the nickel slots or high stakes poker, Argosy has gaming for all income brackets. The restaurants at Argosy are pretty decent, though the weekend midnight buffets and the weekly seafood buffets are your best bet for value and quality. On the casino’s busiest nights(any weekend or holiday), parking can be a nightmare. You might want to park your in the out-lot near Holiday Inn Express and take the shuttle. Overall, I think Argosy is a 3 ½ star casino.
