Very slooooow service waited forever for our food… The waitress was not very attentive to needing refills on drinks and the food was nothing to write about so I won’t bother here!!!

The only positive… They had BREAKFASTMAGPIE from New Day on tap!!! All the way in southern, Indiana I could get my favorite drink ever! The server didn’t know anything about any of the drinks on tap really. My husband kept asking him questions and he could offer very little help. I immediately ordered my magpie and he tried to talk me out of it by saying it was an odd taste and I might not like it. I explained that I’m from Indy, which is where the Meadery is and that I love it. He looked at me like I was an alien. But at least he brought it to me. We only ordered dessert. Cheesecake. Which was clearly frozen and thawed out and topped with canned fruit. The service will little to be desired. We stood for about 10 minutes before someone noticed us to seat us.

Good atmosphere. Drinks are good. Food is mediocre. The blt salad had fresh lettuce and the ranch was good however the bacon was the chopped cold precooked kind from a bag. The salmon was good– nicely cooked and great sear. The macaroni and cheese was disgusting– it tasted like bananas and how that is even possible is beyond me.

I’ve been here a few times. It’s definitely a bar worth visiting if you’re in the area, it’s one of the better ones. They have a wide variety of beers, hence the name, but they end up being out of inventory for a lot of the more uncommon ones. Smoking is allowed in the bar, so be prepared for that. I didn’t find the smoke to be much of an issue though, they must have a good ventilation system. The food is adequate, I’ve had a few things on the menu that were good but didn’t stand out in my opinion. Service is good, I’ve noticed there seems to be a lot of regulars because the servers tend to linger for long periods of time with certain tables causing a bit of a longer wait for others.

Had high hopes for this place considering its location in the casino and it being a draft house offering live music but unfortunately it was an epic fail. The only perk was the live music. Service was extend my slow, they ran out of clean tall beer glasses so has no choice but to order a short glass, were out of a lot of the features beers, and the food was horrible. Bar food isn’t hard to mess up but my buffalo tenders had a weird, rubbery texture and the wings were flavorless. I won’t be back.

My husband and I were early and had to wait for our room, so we decided to have a beer. It was about 3pm, so they weren’t busy. We went in and sat at the bar. The bartender was chatting up the other couple at the bar.(About 10 feet away) We waited awhile and not even a glance. Several waitresses just looked at us. After about 5 – 10 minutes, another couple came in and sat at the bar. The bartender broke from her conversation right away to wait on them. Not quite sure what you have to do in this place to get served. We went to the bar in the casino, and got a few drinks. The bartender was very nice there. So we tipped very well. HH99’s loss I guess. Maybe we weren’t cool enough to be served in here.

We were staying at the hotel and this place sounded good. We really liked it. I ordered the cod sandwich($ 11.99). I am not fond of pretzel buns, so they were only too happy to substitute the regular hamburger bun. My sandwich was wonderful — the cod was delicious and the beer batter was crisp. It was served with a little cole slaw and waffle fries. My husband ordered the hamburger($ 10.99). He was really satisfied. Our waitress, Robin, was efficient and friendly. She was a delight. We were kind of early in the evening and the place was not crowded. I can’t comment on the noise level later in the evening — it was the All Star Game. We did walk buy during the game and the place was packed. We don’t drink and didn’t sample the beers. But here’s a word of caution — Even though we are on Social Security and loved the place, we watched several couples our age come in and leave without ordering. The menu is limited. The tables and chairs in the front are made for twenty-somethings who don’t mind climbing up on a chair to drink/eat. It is not a fine dining place. It is not a family place. It is what it is – a bar with pub food. The casino has revamped the hours/days of most of their food outlets. Hops House 99 is now open at 11:30AM for lunch. I think I gave it $$, but can’t figure out how to make it $$$. I think it’s a bit pricey, but if you gamble and have comps, that may not be a problem.

I’m so disappointed. A great place to watch a game, but you have to listen to the loud music. It’s not a sports bar if you have to listen to music during a local game. Took my party and went home! J

We were hitting up Boogie Nights and did dinner and a little pre-drinking while waiting for everyone to show up. Our service was awesome and the food was stellar. They let me order the BBQ burger with chicken instead of the ground meat. In the end we had about 20 people show up and everyone got multiple drinks quickly. Then, after dancing our tushies off we returned for late night bites. They serve their apps until 3am! The cheese fried definitely hit the spot before the long drive home. Prices are a little high… but that isn’t a surprise in the casino. A great place to hang if you are at the casino!

I can’t vouch for the food at this place, but I can give an opinion on the booze. And we all know I have opinions; especially on that. Hops House 99(HH99, we’ll call it) is a welcome addition to the neighborhood(fine, Lawrenceburg), as it boasts ninety-nine different kinds of beer(24 on draft and 75 types of bottled beer), 30 of which are locally brewed in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Location: Situated inside of Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, HH99 is a bit off the beaten path as far as «local» reviews are concerned. It was because of Date’s brother’s birthday(and because they both have good taste in beer) that we found ourselves venturing outside of the 275 loop for the occasion. The brew house enjoys casino and Boogie Nights traffic, and at one point while we were there was pretty dang packed. So even though it’s quite the trek from the parking lot to the restaurant, it is well worth stopping in if you are at the casino anyway. Atmosphere: I was pretty impressed by the interior décor, as it felt a bit classier than your average pub. Of course, there were a number of people standing around the bar area, but there were also secluded and well-designed tables toward the back of the restaurant. Therefore, if you want to enjoy a dinner date, you can, but if you want to simply hang out with a handful of friends while having some beers(like we were), that works perfectly fine, too. Beer: As the DD, I didn’t partake in the libations. But from what I witnessed, everyone at the table seemed to enjoy it; especially the variety. And, according to Date, «The beer selection there was fairly extensive … that’s a lot of beers for the area, and it’s good to see beers there that you can’t find in Ohio or Kentucky … They apparently have a house ale, too, that I didn’t have but my brother got it and liked it pretty well.»
