The store itself is very nice and they seem to have a nice selection which includes an IWC Pilot’s watch that I really liked. Onto the reason I stopped in… I needed spring bars for my watch and needed them installed because during a relocation I lost my watch repair kit. The girl that «helped» me took my watch to the back and shortly thereafter brought my watch back. Placing it rather deliberately on the counter. (she took no care at all.) The strap was on backwards and, as such, i mentioned it, so she, again, went to the back and shortly returned. This time she said, «here» and placed it down again which would have resulted in my watch case being slammed onto the counter had I not intercepted and put my hand out. There was no «there you go, see if that works… «or «how is that?» Etc. nothing above and beyond whatsoever. My watch was a big investment and for it to be mistreated as such really put a bad taste in my mouth. After all of this all she says to me is, «that’ll be ten dollars.» No «thank you!» From her. Such a shame!

Awesome local business! I’ve had my ring sized here, and also had a stone replaced and they are super friendly and helpful.

Marks is a beautiful, old downtown business with exceptional customer service and a great selection of jewelry in a wide range of prices. They back up their products, going out of their way to replace anything that’s not satisfactory and doing many extra services free of charge. They also have a good repair business.
