I have tried it all here. Pizza amazing, calzone the best, wings, steak tips. Middle Eastern food all fresh. Lots of people work here and sure is the busiest place in town. Why is it busy cause food is amazing. Large portions for dinner, and it’s priced right

Trying to find a replacement for Charlie’s Pizza, since that wonderful place no longer sells pizza (RIP). A friend recommended us to try G&Zs, as it was a close substitute, so we decided to give that place a try.
We ordered the large, 3 topping pizza + breadstick combo for 12.99. Considering an order of breadsticks would be 3.50 itself, I would say the combo is not a bad deal.
Now comes the taste test. Is G&Zs really comparable to Charlie’s? Is it really going to become our next go-​to pizza spot?
Nope.
The crust itself was bland and slightly stale. It was rather tasteless and theres no crunch factor that I prefer in my crusts. Maybe I’m just partial to Domino’s garlic-​crusted pizzas. (Now THAT’S super good.)
However, they gave a pretty good amount of toppings on the pizza, and the breadsticks were average, so that boosts my rating up to 3 stars. But after I finished eating, a weird aftertaste lingered in my mouth for a few hours.
Overall, i dont believe I’ll be clamoring to come here any time soon. For my pizza cravings, I’ll be sticking to Domino’s for now. Not that I mind.

The best pizza you can find in Lawrence. The custer service is excellent very nice people. I’ve been going there for 14 years and they are always the same.

Waited an hour and a half for Delivery… can I just tell you the horror story, it actually makes me laugh. The driver came, and when my boyfriend approached his car, he drove off. So he comes upstairs and asks me to call the driver… The driver comes Back and parks at the wrong house. My boyfriend walks up to his car and HE TAKES OFF AGAIN! My boyfriend runs back up and asks me to call him back. Now he stays on the phone with me and we eventually got our pizza at 5 passed 11pm! The French fries were wet and soggy and the pizza was gross. I will NEVER order from here again.

i love this place… i moved from new york 15 years ago and g&z has been the best replacement for what i was used to having for pizza back home! Just come and try it you will not be dissapointed.

Apparently they’ve improved. We ordered from here again a few times and it’s OK. The Mediterranean menu is weird — they have SOME things but not other things (I’d kill for falafel), and you can really create a custom combo without spending a fair chunk of change.

Best pizza best wings best grapes leaves and lastly best food!!! Always fresh and clean! Make sure you order your pizza with the seaseme crust! Oh ya… There pizza can’t be beat.

I go here for 2 items. The steak stir fry sandwich and their breadsticks with sauce. Soooooooooooo good!

My friend lives in Lawrence and he highly recommended this place because he’s been eating here since he was a kid.
We ordered their steak tips with rice, chicken wings, and small cheese pizza. Price was pretty well, but the quality of the food was better than other pizza places. I also wanted to order the spinach pie, but they didn’t serve it anymore: C
Awesome awesome wings. Steak tips could use a different sauce though. Instead of something like A1, they gave a more liquid sauce that was kinda bitter. But I definitely recommend them if you’re in the area!

I decided to stop at G&Z Pizza of Lawrence for lunch. The place itself is very cozy inside with an order counter and a small dining area (self serve seating) with a TV. They offer some pretty good specials including a large one topping pizza for $ 8.99, combo deals and lunch specials. The menu lineup includes pizza, calzones, salads, soup, wings & dings, seafood, kabobs, sandwiches, and Mediterranean food. They use Grande Cheese here.
For lunch, I got a slice of cheese Pizza, a garden salad, and a can of Diet Coke for $ 4.99 plus tax, which I decided to eat in while watching CNN on the TV. The pizza slice was pretty good tasting, all ready out of the heated glass display case. The pizza slice had a firm soft and chewy crust with a hearty tasting tomato sauce and a good amount of melted browned mozzarella cheese. The garden salad was a good sized one with lots of fresh crunchy iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onions, drenched in Italian dressing (my choice). Also., slices of soft Syrian bread were included too.
That was enough food for this good and simple lunch. The very next day, I had lunch again at G&Z Pizza, but at the Methuen location.
The PARKING in back is tight close to a busy street, so be carefull when leaving.
