Roberta was my first contact and she was fantastic! Friendly, helpful and willing to do whatever necessary to accomodate our needs. We had a king business suite with a king bed and pullout couch which was fine for our boys(10&13). The room was clean and the housekeeping staff was very friendly. Near campus of KU and on the main drag– Iowa Street.

You get what you pay for, but it was a clean room with decent beds/sheets. Room had a mini-fridge and small microwave inside. Free breakfast, but wasn’t that much that looked appealing, so settled for juice and coffee. Usually stay next door at Day Inn, but it has an outdoor pool. Since stayed in February chose the Baymont because had an indoor pool. Although the pool area had ceiling partially falling down over it, but saw that maintenance workers were fixing the next day. Hotel located in less populated area of town, but outside side door had card only access, but appeared to be broken and anyone could enter.

NEVERAGAIN!!! This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I have ever had. My husband and I booked a block of rooms 3 months in advance for our wedding, and every single time anyone called in they were unable to find our reservations. The manager is completely incompetent and does not know how to manage at all. I had family members calling in months in advance to book rooms and they were told there were ZERO rooms available for our wedding weekend, and they ended up not coming to our wedding because of it. We had 14 rooms booked for the wedding, and they were unable to find any rooms for us. I called at least 5 or 6 times and spoke with different desk clerks and the manager never fixed the problem. Even the day before the wedding the manager told my immediate family that their reservations were not showing up in their system. What?! Seriously? Don’t ever put your trust in this hotel. And if you do, good luck, it is not promising at all.

This is a value proposition, not a luxury accommodation. Room was workable, nothing special. Bathroom looked clean and well-maintained. Complimentary breakfast was just okay — a variety of breads, wafflemaker, oatmeal, dry cereals, bananas. Wastecans in breakfast room could stand to be cleaned. Bed was comfy overall but«broken» on the bedstand side. Hotel was quiet. Okay, I’d stay here again if just passing through town looking for a place to sleep.

This hotel is the standard Suite/Hotel room, nothing really amazing to cry home to mom about except for the fact that it is an excellent value for the money spent on a room there. With decent access to the main thoroughfare and close to campus, the baymont has about everything one could need in the room. The Baymont also has a indoor pool and spa although I did not get a chance to use them. Another nice amenity of the hotel is the free wifi internet. It was a great chance to be able to utilize my computer and find out what was around there to visit and party at. The downside is that it is a college town. By that I mean that the desk clerk had that less than thrilled look on his face when we walked in. Although my reservations were made via travelocity for a smoke-free room, they booked us into a room with smoking. While this was easily resolved, and it was resolved sufficiently, when I went to the front desk to return my keys for the other room, I was waiting for what felt like an eternity for someone to show up at the front desk. This time the front desk clerk was a bit more active, but I still felt that I shouldn’t have had to wait ten minutes to return a key, even after ringing the old style bell. Don’t expect anything stellar at this hotel. It is inexpensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Good value for the money. We had a king suite, which was interesting because only a curtain separated the bedroom area from the toilet! Odd.
