Hallmark Inn Best Western

Once again I find myself saying 1 star is extremely generous. Checked in after 1 am. Got to my room to find out the maid hadn’t cleaned the second room with the 3^rd bed in it! Not at all! The dirty sheets and pillows were thrown in the corner and the floor had tons of crumbs all over it! I ask for sheets and make my bed. Next thing I notice is they have ash trays right outside the doors. So of course it reeks of cigarettes as you walk in. And I caught several people hanging out the door smoking, therefore making this «nonsmoking» hotel reek! I get settled in my room and try to sleep but, this place creeks and cracks and all kinds of noises ALL night! Just flushing the toilet in my room causes the room to shake! When someone slammed their room door the lamp mounted on the wall shook. It’s ridiculous! $ 104 for this place?! No way! This reaffirms my idea that ALL best westerns are overpriced $h@& holes! Don’t waste your money here there are plenty other hotels in Lawrence.
