Efficient service and generous amenities make this Wawa worthy of a stop if you find yourself on Route 1 North in Lawrenceville in need of gas or a snack. Or, if you find yourself on Route 1 South, feel free to navigate the insanity of making a left turn in New Jersey… by a death-defying series of jug handles, merges across multiple lanes of oncoming traffic, right turns, and getting lost in the wrong parking lot. All stunts performed by professionals, don’t try this at home, kids! I’m not from the Garden State so am still quite skeptical of the whole full service dispensing of gas thing. I usually find the ordeal highly frustrating from start to finish. More often than not, I find waiting around for someone to pump gas takes way longer than doing it myself. Toss in some surly attitudes from gas attendants, improper cap replacement, and having to request receipts for credit card payment and I am definitely not a fan of the full serve requirement, overall. Thankfully, this was not at all the case at the Lawrenceville Wawa. They had several attendants servicing the pumps the day I stopped in and the individual who greeted me was very courteous and professional. All attendants were working at lightning speed to fill the cars and send them on their merry way, and I was back on the road in record time. This station is a prime example of what full service should be, but rarely is. Another positive of this station is the free air pump, which motorists can use to fill up car and bike tires. Complementary use of the pump is impressive in its own right, and unlike what I have seen at most other area gas stations. Even better is that Wawa air pumps have automated pressure gauges which detect your current tire pressure and inflate the tire to the pressure you have specified. Just pre-set the desired pressure on the pump’s display screen, attach the pump to your tire, and the pump will fill up the tire to the pressure you have selected. Once the tire has been properly inflated, a bell will sound and you move onto the next tire. It really is that simple! I have never seen this type of air pump at any other gas station and it is truly a wonderful feature. Not only does it save you having to periodically check the pressure as you inflate the tire, it is also much safer than a manual pump as it prevents you from over-inflating the tires. They do say there’s no such thing as a free lunch, but the Wawa air pump comes pretty darn close. I pass this station frequently and prices are always quite reasonable. Their prices are probably slightly higher than stations more off the beaten path, but at the same time, the station is right off the highway. Definitely better prices than in surrounding states, so worthy of a stop for the interstate traveler! I haven’t made it inside the store yet, but I’ll assume it’s decent. Wawa is one of the better convenience store chains and their locations are usually fairly consistent. 5⁄5 stars for the gas station and air pump, alone! Would recommend!

I’ve only been inside the store a few times. This review is about the gas station component. It is rare that you find kindness, and courteous attendants in a job that requires you to be outside all the time. Every time I come to the gas station(and I do drive from hopewell just to go there) I’m always greeted with a smile and great service. Whatever kool aid you guys are drinking is definitely working. Great job.

Store is pretty big, well stocked and super clean. Honestly, given the location of this Wawa, I was surprised. They also have a full service deli, clean restrooms, and cheap gas prices. Store is well lit. I visited during the daytime but didn’t feel unsafe at all.
