Stayed here over the weekend. When we checked in on Friday we had to wait for a long time due to the hotel only having two people at the check-in counter. The room was okay. It clean but you can tell it’s really old. We had a river view which was nice. Valet had the same story as the check-in counter. Everyone was just waiting around for a long time to find a valet that can take their ticket. Weird thing is they have a valet office but no open window for customers. So you have to open the door to see if anyone is in there. This problem was all week. Now check out was easy. We just called the message line and left our details.

Stayed here this past weekend & goodness what a different stay from my last one!!! I got there about an hour before check in & went to the front desk they let me check in early! Which was nice! They put in a nice room that was CLEAN with a river view! The front desk staff were super nice! I believe the girt that helped us name was Beth, she was so funny. really this stay was totally different from my last one. I’m very happy with them again! Really the only negative thing I would say was the bartender at the lounge was very rude and condescending. But other than that it was awesome this time! Thank you John and Julie!

Love it here. But trying to get a refreshment was difficult. Finally left my machine and went to the bar. Was never noticed, even when I tried to get the bartenders attention. He was just too busy. Ended up walking to the smoke shop for a soda. By that time, my machine was taken.

Not everything has to be done through facebook. Not everyone has facebook. I don’t have facebook and don’t want it.

Stayed here for two nights. Check in people were not real friendly which worried me a bit for the rest of our stay. Went to our room, not cleaned! I immediately called the front desk and told them I needed another room. They were very apologetic and sent someone up with a key to another room. Rooms are ok, clean and bed was comfy. Management needs to know that check in is the first impression and have friendly smiling people. The words«I’ll be right with you» and a smile would go a long way. Had a nice time and for 35 bucks a night I would stay here again. I’d be willing to pay more for a fridge and safe in the room. That would really be nice, overall not bad at all!

Been checking out different hotels in Laughlin the last 2 months. I have a team who will be here on business the next 3 months, I wanted to bounce around and experience first hand what each have to offer. I just checked in to Tropicana Laughlin. I paid for mid price room, not the lowest and not the most expensive. I ask the guy(wearing white framed glasses) at the front could I get a decent view. He agreed and«said» he put me in a suite. I get in the room, it’s not a suite and my only view is roof top with amazing bright lights shining in my room. I called the front and ask for Manager, a guy that seemed to be a little uncertain that he’s a manager didn’t offer any resolution.(That immediately sealed the deal, my team won’t be staying here). The room is old style, carpet is stained, coffee maker and ice bin inside the bathroom(yuck) When you shower, you have to shut the door in order to get inside the shower or crawl over the toilet. Only one small bar of soap, nothing for the shower so unless you bring your own soap, you have to swap soap between shower and hand sink. Small flat screen TV with a decent amount of channels. Towels are soft and in good condition. The big«got cha» is internet. It’s 7.99 a day PERDEVICE. I have a hot spot on my phone but there is some type of block so I can’t connect. I experienced the same at Aquarius, I find this a real scam especially if you are doing business and have no choice but to connect to the internet. The choices of restaurants here are ok. Tonight, I went to the Italian Restaurant, good food, good service. Currently, I’ve stayed in 5 places in Laughlin and by far Golden Nugget has been the best of my experience. Free internet, no resort fee, rooms are small but modern and clean. Awesome restaurants over looking the river: Salt Grass, Bubba Gump, Starbucks, Claim Jumper and a Deli. I’m tired of searching and experiencing hotels in this town. Checking out of here and heading back to great little place down the road.

I am so grateful for security! The people at this hotel are awesome! My 3 year old daughter didn’t get out of elevator in time on the 18th floor and doors closed. I was in scooter with hurt foot and couldn’t get to get in time. A stranger got in and went downstairs… my husband came and started going down to find her. I called security from 18th floor and they already did lock down and was watching doors. It just so happened that someone on 16th floor saw her and called security. I was reunited with her 2 floors down. Great system and perfect procedures made sure my daughter didn’t get too far. Thank you so much.

Well we came to Laughlin to spend a night as we cruised across the southwest. Seemed like a good idea to stay here, well on the weekend the rooms are the same price as anywhere else, and no the casino low cost to get you to gamble here rate. So about a half hour to check in, OK I understand it is busy at times. Now to the room, nice looking almost Victorian style chairs, don’t sit in them they are too creaky to be stable. There is a lamp way over in the corner with the cable made to be very short, don’t try to move it as it is unstable where it is and barely stands up. There is internet for another 8 bucks a day per device. ugh! The place is worn, well worn, very well worn. The air systems are a bit polluted. ugh! Then the restaurant was well. ugh! There are lots of choices here in Laughlin. I will be using them for sure. Oh yes. Acute lack of plugs. And just to make it painful the plug in the bathroom, both sockets are so worn That when you plug something in it just falls out. Worn. Way too worn for me.

Horrible rooms, with lumpy beds, stained carpets, ratty furniture and an awful BATHROOM. When we entered the bathroom there was a used towel on the shower floor… YUCK. You have to shut the door to the bathroom when taking a shower(there is no tub double demerits for that too) so that the stream doesn’t set off the fire alarm. The bathroom is so tight you almost have to jump over the toilet to get into the shower. These rooms are supposedly remodeled… fresh paint and an abstract painting are not remodeling, it’s just cover up. The tv… half the channels don’t have sound so you have to use the closed captioning. Not that you’re here for the tv, but still things should work. The AC in the room… OMG you have to turn on the great first so the fan will engage, then you can change it to cool… super nice on a hot day. I know most the rooms are comps, but they should at least try for the very basics of standards. The one and only reason I didn’t give this the 1 star it deserves is there are actually worse rooms in Laughlin, namely the Pioneer and the Colorado Bell. It isn’t really fair that the Tropicana gets a better rating because they are slightly better than a flea bag hotel, but they do rate a smidgen higher than the afore mentioned, so I guess there is that.
