Horrible customer service! the hotel is not bad. It is clean and not too outdated. The pool is nice only 4 ft and the jaccuzzi is next to it not bad. The slot machines are good not a very big area. The resturant are great food is soo good! Okay now the bad. Customer service Is horrible!!! Omg what a damn pain. Check in as at 4 and our room was not ready until 530. We arrived early because the rest of our party did… we were all given our rooms 1 by 1 we were the last to get our room. our luggage was late too. So we had to wait for our luggage while the rest off our party went to the pool. We waited 20 min for it. Even when we checked in at 430. We were at the pool and wanted to get some drinks, so we pick up the phone to see if we could get some drinks. The operater said«the pool bartender has gone home for the day» so we couldn’t get drinks. Soooooooooooooooo we wait and call again another operater answers she says she’ll send someone out to take our orders. Okay so we wait and wait and wait. 20 min into waiting we decide to just go inside and get drinks really fast. I go in with a friend and go to the gold digger bar to grab drinks for our party. No bartender. We walk around see if we can get a cocktail waitress to get drinks… no waitress. We see a man in a suit walking around and tell him the situation. He says let me get joe. You know what joe tells us? «if you want drinks you need to come in and out I’m not going to send anyone out there it’s shift change and everyone is going home». Wtf!!! We can’t all keep coming back and fourth kids are in the pool were not going to leave them. Finally we leave pisted that NOONEWANTEDTOHELPUS. it was a group of us like 15 good money would be spent! But finally! Aaron(bartender) comes to us by the pool. He apologizes and says it’s the cocktail waitress not wanting to come out. Wow. Anyone we tried talking to had an attitude. It seemed like everyone hated their job. The only nice employees were the cleaning staff. We came for vacation to relax and the employees made us feel unwanted like we were stupid and asking annoying question. One lady even rolled her eyes at me! and she was a front desk?! So we just did what we could to avoid staff at all cost. Such a shame it’s a nice place but the staff are all rude! 3 stars for the hotel being nice, the resturants, and connected with the riverwalk!

Consistently I have a good experience at Golden Nugget. Our corporate website showed sold out but I called and spoke to Barbara, she managed to get me a room. Thanks, Barbara! I’ve been told if you are Elite status you’ll sometimes get upgraded to next level of room such as a River view. So far, in 2 months that hasn’t been the case for me so I’m not sure why they say that. I’ll be returning on Sunday 3/27, maybe it will be my lucky turn. The weather is perfect and a great time to visit Laughlin. I recommend you try this casino. Free internet and great choices of restaurants. I really like this place.

We purchased a weekend in a luxury room from a charity auction. When we got there, they gave us a standard room next to the elevator. The first room given us had not been cleaned. The second one had a ‘do not disturb’ sign and was still occupied. We had to shlep our bags back to the front desk both times. She then sent us to a third room — still a standard, next to the elevator and said she’d meet us at the room. She arrived with a key that did not work. The maid let us in. We got keys that worked 20 minutes later. She gave us some gambling coupons ‘to make up for the trouble.’ We do not gamble and the coupons all expired the same day. While unpacking we noticed the coffee pot supplies were used and there was no bottled water as promised. We caught a maid to refill everything. We were in a room that faced a small courtyard(no, not a luxury view as promised). The windows looked directly across and into the rooms on the other side of the courtyard. Our window had no sheers. So, we either had darkness or got to put on a show for everyone. I noticed some of the windows across did have sheers. The tile in the bathroom was loose with the grout crumbling. Lastly, the walls were so thin we could hear the TV and conversations in the room next to us. I gave the Golden Nugget two stars because the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I also liked the good water pressure. But, they could not overcome the check-in problems.

The lobby and entrance were very inviting, the waterfalls were very nice. The place is so clean and the air is clean too. I liked that then I doubled my money on the slots, so hey, that is way too cool!

Nothing special about the hotel. The rooms are decent, no cable or movies(local channels only), gambling at the tables isn’t bad. The Deli hidden in the corner of the casino is a one man operation; so it’s turtle slow. If it wasn’t for the lively and helpful table dealers I would have given a lower rating. Only stop by for the annual chili competition held here.

I’ve stayed at several of the Casinos in Laughlin, this happens to be one of my favorites, upon entering you are surrounded by lush greenery and waterfalls, Personally I want nothing more than to pull up a chair, kick up my feet and I’m sure that would be fine, if I want in the middle of the lobby blocking foot traffic. Lucky for me there is a bar just off the right, a bit of an alcove set against the tropical backdrop and the sounds of water against the rocks, just add a cocktail and I’m in it for the win. The rooms are spacious and the rooms are clean and well stocked with amenities to make you stay an easy one. Prices at Golden Nugget can be a little more expensive price wise, but I’m always willing to pay a little extra to stay in luxury rather than pay less and wonder if my room has been cleaned since 1995. So if your looking for an adult casino that is sleek and tropical, and you enjoy rolling on the river, then book a room today. I cannot wait to go back… Oh & they sell TOM shoes in the gift shop. :)

I would 3.5 stars! This hotel has potential to be a 4 star –someday. The good. The check in was fast and friendly. The room was clean. The bed has a duvet!!! A true delighter! The bad: The room had an over powering fu-fu smell of some kind of air freshener. We kept the windows open. This has been by far the best hotel I have stayed at in Laughlin and I would stay here again!!!

Where do I start… after reading reviews,(I’m big on reviews) GN was the highest rated. And let’s just say if you’re a vegas fan, woah be prepared for tales from the crypt!!! I swear I didn’t see one person under 80yrs old! I felt like I was in the twilight zone! But about the hotel. Nice, quick check in. Valet nice. Customer service nice, no complaints other than the drinks being on the weak side. Room was clean & cozy. I would stay here again, but I won’t be back. Thumbs down for a vacation spot. But thumbs up for a spot for the night.
