I have been this place so many times. I really enjoy here. The food is so good. They have so many choices. And slap have sushi bar. I will be back.

Less than mediocre. Cold food. The only thing I really enjoyed was the hot and sour soup.

This was the first time eating at Grand Buffet and for that matter in the building that used to be another establishment. First of all, I agree with a former review, things could have been better labeled. The Lo Mein was delicious by itself, even improved with addition of Mongolian Pork. Some items were good, and some others were edible, but not tasty(mac-n– cheese, and egg rolls). I usually like rice pudding but the dessert here was way too sweet for my taste buds. Table service was very good.

Medicare food. Expensive. Needs a good cleaning. Poorly labeled making it hard to know what’s on the buffet. Seafood on same line as desserts seemed ripe for cross-contamination. Table service was pretty efficient.

Any good reviews on this restaurant are fake most likely an employee or someone paid to write a review. I noticed some five star reviews dated the same date what a joke. This sorry excuse for a Chinese buffet should be shut down My wife and I gave the Grand Buffet a try we both left with the same feeling that this is the worst buffet we had ever been. Don’t waste you time or money as a matter of fact it’s not worth the time I am wasting writing this review.

Great selection of food and nice wait staff. I did not care for the food; too many fried items. I did not think they were flavorful although plentiful. They have a sushi bar but the selection was more of the California rolls than sushi.

Love the sushi section very much. And the lady who makes the sushi is so friendly. We deliberately drive to this area when passing through New Mexico to make sure we eat here. Prices are all you can eat good. :) Food is delicious and plentiful.

I’m traveling through, and stopped at Walmart and saw this on top of the hill. It looked promising and I was here for the lunch price. It started off good and it seemed like each time went up for another plate, the food got worse.

Not worth the price for the food! Most of the food looks to be from the day before and just got reheated… worst Chinese food ever! Everything is dry and over cooked … Please save your money and go else where… !

«The biggest buffet in New Mexico»??? That’s an overstatement, it’s more like«The biggest disappointment in New Mexico!» First of all, I’m not being harsh here, I’m just a little ticked off and bitter about the experience I just had at the Grand Buffet. So let me begin by stating that after a long day of not eating anything, me and my family were craving some fresh sushi and some delicious Chinese food so I suggested the Empire Buffet, having ate at this establishment numerous times I knew we were gonna get our moneys worth. But hold on, Empire Buffet is no longer the Empire Buffet, it moved from its previous location which was by the Mesilla Valley mall to its new current location on 2340 E. Griggs. So long story short, as I usually do, I tend to go directly to the Mongolian grill to have fresh ingredients cooked before my eyes. Unfortunately, there was nobody manning the grill at the time, and when the cook finally came out, what do you know!?, a young hispanic male who had this look on his face like he didn’t want to be there or if I was intruding on his personal time and he didn’t even cook the vegetables all the way through! At the end of our meal, I wanted a glass of water with no ice so as I approached the waitress cleaning the tables and ask politely«May I have some water with no ice, please»…the waitress says nothing! absolutely nothing! she just points me in the direction of where the beverages are at!!! All I can think to myself was«Oh my God!» what happen to this place? what happened to the customer service and great food that I was so accustomed to at the Empire Buffet? When the owners decided to move to a bigger location, I think they lost something along the way…(their pride) and I think they just stop caring. Finally, do yourself a favor and don’t fall victim to this atrocious nightmare that this place has become.

Worst place to eat! I wouldn’t give them any stars but in order to place a review I had to give them one. Came here thinking it was going to be great food and service but I thought wrong. Food looked and tasted like it was sitting there for a while. And let me tell you about the service, you ask for something nicely like” excuse me, may I get some water without ice?” Waiter would just point to the room where the drinks are held. But then that’s there job to make there customers feel welcomed not to feel like get out of here. This place should be shut down! BRINGFURRSBACK!!! It was a lot better than this crap hole. Also, don’t let these pictures trick you because they changed their location and it’s not worth going to

The waiter who brought us our drinks was nice. The food was not good for $ 13/person for a buffet.

Decided to check out this place as it was right next to my hotel. I was very skeptical, being from Texas and living in NM, Chinese buffets can be iffy. I was so very pleasantly surprised. Everything I had was delicious. I base a good Chinese restaurant on 3 important things. Egg drop soup, Crab Rangoon, and sesame chicken. All three were super tasty here! The variety was insane, from the seafood to the fresh fruit. If you’re looking for good Chinese in Las Cruces, you have it here.
