Friendly service, eager to please. Food was good, had moo shu pork. The pancakes and plum sauce were made in house and very good, making the pork taste much better than it looks. Better than most standard americanized chinese places.

Food here is good but wait is longer than most. Best time to go is lunch when they have a huge lunch deal, the phoenix special, for cheap. It includes entrée, a large portion, rice or noodle, eggroll and soup. Far more than one can eat. Its good for two. I eat here probably once every three to four months and it is good for lunch. I have also had them cater a party for work and they did a good job. Love the hot and sour soup. I recently did a large take out order for a meeting. Although it took a long time to be prepared the food was good and all were happy.

OK, we’ve had take-out from the Chinese Phoenix for the last two nights and I have to say, the food was exceptional. I’m not a huge fan of Chinese food as I have found it to be bland. The food from the Chinese Phoenix features well-cooked vegetables, a good selection of tender meats and very good fried rice. Even after two evenings, I find myself craving another fix of their delightful meals. The ambiance of the restaurant leaves something to be desired, but I would encourage you to give it a try. I want to be able to support their excellent efforts.

The old owners, Karen and Michael made all the food fresh and were very sweet people. Michael sometimes sang in Chinese as he cooked. Unfortunately they and their delicious food are gone, the new owners now serve up mountainous piles of greasy vegetables devoid of any meat they were alleged to contain on the menu. The Mu Shu Pork was essentially a greasy pile of cabbage with some thick, glutinous pancakes. The overall sensation, when combined with the cabbage, was of eating the raw ingredients for a exceptionally strong papier mache. My friend had some Broccoli Beef that was long on Broccoli and grease, short on beef. At least the service was prompt and attentive. I miss Michael, Karen, Jason, the wonderful food and atmosphere. Unless they magically reappear, I won’t be back.

Tried eating here a couple months ago when i ordered some takeout. While sitting in the lobby area, staring at their unusual assortment of dolls and trinkets for sale, I was told by the woman next to me that they were under new ownership and she didn’t know what to expect with the food anymore. Well, I ordered beef with broccoli, chicken chow mein, and some pork fried rice and it was some of the worst chinese food i have ever tasted. I think that about 95% of my so called beef with broccoli was actually broccoli. The rest of the food was bland and greasy. The chicken and beef that was in the food tasted rubbery and not prepared well. I will not be back and i am still trying to find some chinese food in this town.

Chinese Phoenix fell short for me. I had to wait 45-minutes on a slow weekday evening for my order. After bringing the food home there was barely any beef in the broccoli beef dish and I got a container for eggrolls but no eggroll to be found. They did, however, remember to include eggroll dipping sauce. What I did receive was good but not worth the time or the hassle. Needless to say, I won’t be returning.

I’ve been craving Tomato Beef Chow Mein for months now. Unfortunately, it’s not common in this area so I opted for the Chicken Chow Mein dish at the Chinese Phoenix. Very filling chow mein served with sweet and sour batter-fried chicken, wonton soup, fried rice, and an egg roll. Just a tip: Their chow mein consists of chopped veggies, not noodles. You feel healthier after eating it in comparison to the noodle version of chow mein(which is great). If you’re craving noodles, definitely order a «lo mein» dish. Family business… they were all very sweet! Great service!
