My wife and I have been going to this restaurant ever since we moved into the neighborhood approximately eight years ago. Both my wife and I as well as our two young sons absolutely love this quaint hometown restaurant. The food is always consistently delicious, reasonably priced, and the service is exceptional. It is obvious the family that owns West Main Diner take a lot of pride in their establishment. Also, many of the staff have been there for as long as we’ve been going. This restaurant is a gem and Lansdale is lucky to have it!

Food is not exactly spectacular. Went for breakfast this past weekend. My friend ordered a breakfast platter and asked for an extra pancake. When the bill came I thought it was kind of high for breakfast. They charged $ 3.25 for ONE pancake. I can buy a box of pancake mix for 2 bucks! Ridiculous. Won’t be going back.

We love coming here, and the food is always consistent, and the wait staff is always friendly. It’s one of the best places in lansdale.

DON’T GO I went here on a very warm muggy/rainy day and the owner did not have the air on. I had to go to work right after lunch, and I didn’t want to be a sweaty mess. I mentioned it to the waitress and she«confidentially» said the owner doesn’t like to waste money on AC, and that the servers/cook are bothered by it too. I decided to suck it up because I had to be at work in a little over an hour and I was hungry. Well, not only were we terribly uncomfortable, but the food was very disappointing. My sister’s burger was raw on the inside, after she specifically asked for it to be well-done with no pink. He also charged her for a piece of lettuce on her burger! Not only that, but they obviously put her burger in the microwave to try to cook it through after she brought it to their attention, and placed the same lettuce back on the burger — because the lettuce had blood on it! My club sandwich didn’t taste right… and I wasn’t sure if the tuna was bad, because the taste of the burnt slice of toast(that they tried to hide on the inside layer) kind of over-powered everything. Don’t waste your time going to this place. There are many good restaurants/diners in the area.

Drove about 30 minutes to get to this place cause I heard they had cream chip beef and I hadn’t had it since I was in the navy, it was awesome, my server Halina was great and the whole staff was pleasant, even bought some girls scout cookies on the way out!

I’ve been going here for breakfast every weekend for a couple of weeks and I must say if you want a place that you can get a great bang for you buck this is for you. For breakfast I highly suggest the«West Main Sampler». The only draws backs I have are that they do not accept credit cards, so make sure you bring cash. As well as when you first walk in there seems to be a lot of wait staff but most of the employees are either busing/expediting or talking in groups some where in the restaurant. If only they would hire more waiters/waitresses and cut back on the chitchat groups their great food would be matched with great customer service.

They have all your normal breakfast foods at a reasonable price. The service can be a little slow on a busy weekend morning. But early morning weekdays they are quick and you can be in and out in about 20 minutes. I have become a regular and I am never disappointed. Every time I order the breakfast sampler with the pancake and bacon. The waitress’s remember regulars and it’s a nice homey feel.

Great breakfast staples– eggs, waffles, French toast and omelets are all great. Go every Sunday with a large family and typically wait 15 mins. Easy parking and a large dining area with a counter area.

The Sausage was awful. The hot chocolate was delicious. They had no milkshakes. What diner doesn’t have milkshakes? I like warm weather and it was a bit of summer in here. I didn’t mind. But my friend was melting. Visibly sweating. They didn’t accept credit cards which luckily we brought cash. The rest of the food was ok. Not great. But not bad. As we were leaving the air kicked on. Must have been a fluke…

I really like coming here for breakfast with my mom or just a quick lunch with a friend. They don’t have a super huge selection but I really like the home fries for breakfast. The waitresses are always really cheerful. I’m not a huge fan that a small orange juice costs about $ 4 … even the refills.

Decent diner food at decent prices. I go here a lot. It has its ups and downs like any other place. But its convenient. Interior is tired and needs some cleaning. Servers are nice. No credit cards.

If you like diner food, this is the place to eat. Nothing fancy, just basic dishes well made and served without pretense. Like all great Diner’s, breakfast is a good value for a fair price, lunch is quick and inexpensive and dinner is every comfort food meal you can think of, well made and served with a smile. Probably the cleanest Diner you will ever eat in. Be aware, they only serve breakfast on Sunday(lunch menu not available) and then close early afternoon.

I really wish the owners of West Main would have kept a location in Ambler. This place is AWESOME! The restaurant sits in a building that looks like it used to be an Autozone store. The open kitchen lines the far fall when you enter and the restaurant area is very large. After several friends that live in Lansdale urged me to stop in I did on a Sunday morning in February around 11 am. We were seated right as we walked in and our server Jim came right over to grab our drink orders. The menu is simple and compact. After a quick look I went with the breakfast sampler. You get the following for $ 6.95 (2) Eggs (1) Pancake or(1) French Toast (1) sausage, pork roll or ham Home Fries My girlfriend and I both ordered the sampler so I had the chance to sample the pancake and french toast. Both were fantastic! The portions were amble and I didn’t leave hungry. The service was top notch and everyone was overly friendly. I highly recommend this place and it is not at the top of my list for a good local breakfast.

Excellent breakfast with friendly staff. We take the family here once a month and the food has been consistently good. We look forward to «West Main Day» every month.

The West Main diner is a little gem that’s really close to where I live. If I’m really craving diner food, though, I’ll head over to the American Star. West Main isn’t bad; the service is good and so is the food, but there’s not a super huge selection and the atmosphere is a little dull.

Ate breakfast hereon a Sunday morning after an early sporting event in Lansdale. It’s located in a small shopping center on Main St. The place started hopping just after we were seated: we beat the«rush hour» apparently. The place has the classic look of a diner. The food, unfortunately, did not live up to our expectations. No eggs benedict on menu to begin with, so I ordered two eggs/bacon/home fries plate. The bacons were stiff as a board and cold. My wife’s sausages were cold as well. The eggs and home fries were edible, but nothing to write home about. All in all, a disappointing experience…

I will not be taking my family back there after I witnessed the owner’s childish outburst on one of the customers. Cream chipped beef was bad and the coffee tastes like topsoil.

Don’t pass by this place. It sits in a small dated shopping plaza and would be easy to drive past. The inside betrays the worn out exterior; it is warm, clean and inviting. Service was quick and friendly and the omelet was very good. A good home cooked breakfast for about a dollar or two more than you would pay for fast food. Definitely try It out next time you’re in Lansdale. They do not accept Credit Cards but have an ATM in the diner.

I went there for breakfast today. The décor is really cute-1950’s style diner. Friendly waitstaff. I was seated quickly, and had a very nice young waiter. I ordered the western omelet. It came with home fries and toast. I was served quickly. The food was hot and good. I made the mistake of failing to mention that I did not want onions, but oh well, that was my mistake. All in all a nice family friendly restaurant. I will return again to check out their lunch menu.

This family-run diner has become a Sunday morning breakfast tradition for me. The fare is about what you’d expect from one of the«non-chain» area diners but their daily specials really make the menu. Everything from the French toast breakfast sandwich to the pumpkin waffle(my personal favorite) make walking in the door a pleasant mystery. The staff is always super friendly and the food comes out quick, hot and in good-sized portions. The dining room is clean and bright. Overall, a fantastic choice for your breakfast run.
