I did not care for this place at all. Service was great, but it was way over priced and no flavor.

This restaurant has been my «home» restaurant for almost two decades. It’s where I go for always great Mexican food and their tortilla soup is great comfort food. The service is always good and the food is always excellent. When I have friends up from Orange County, this is where they want to go every time.

Best Mexican food in all of Antelope Valley! The food is not only delicious, but rather healthy too(perhaps they make their food in traditional way). Their chips are just great.

Descent food and have been coming here for a few years. Only thing I would say to the young kids working to clear the tables or pick up the checks, I only need to be asked if im done with my plate once it looks like I’m done, if I have my fork in my hand that clearly indicates that I’m still eating. If the bill tray doesn’t have cash or a credit it card on it, I’m not ready to pay my bill yet. The last few times we have been for dinner these young kids are all over rushing people. I love the waitress and waiter but I feel that the young kids that have been hired need to be trained as to proper etiquette when doing their jobs. Nothing worse than enjoying a nice meal and trying to relax and feeling so rushed.

Delicious food every time I go. I no longer live in town but when I did I think I ate here every day. Staff is always friendly. My fav is Irma(manager) she’s a doll. Love their enchiladas. And soup. Along with the flautas. Pretty much everything I’ve had has been delicious. I could eat their chips and salsa all day. When you walk in the place smells soooo good. I’ve yet to try their fajitas but when someone orders them it smells up the place with an amazing aroma. Always clean along with the restrooms. For sure 5 stars! Thank you Don Juan’s!

I love this place! the people already know us… it’s like if we were part of their family. We always get the Fajitas it’s so good with albondigas soup. And their micheladas are really good they know how to make them. :)

I eat here a lot, not because it’s great, but it’s near enough to my house that I can walk. And it’s good enough.

We have lived in the Antelope Valley over 20 years, tried all the Mexican restaurants. This one is better than the rest of them. The food is above average, pretty good service, and really have no complaints. Wait staff is attentive and prompt. B+ overall rating!

Good little cantina. Cerveza is always cold. Carlos always ready to poor a icy cold shot of the anejo. Great little spot to chill after a day at work… and close to home.

Went for dinner with the hubby last night. Hadn’t been here in several years because my memory was that the food wasn’t that great. He wanted to give it another try. First I want to mention the service since I’ve seen reviews dinging them. Friendly, attentive. every employee asked how we were as they passed our table and our drinks and chip basket were kept full. The chips are made on site and were brought to the table warm. Great crunch, tasty and salted perfectly! The salsa wasn’t bad, but not stellar. The spice level was a little higher than most«house salsas». More than hubby could tolerate, marginal for me. The margarita on the rocks is served in a cute cactus glass. Not too fond of the mixer they used but again, not bad. Husband had the Tostada Al Carbon. The tostada shell didn’t taste like old oil like some places, but it was cold. The beans, meat and«salad» in the bowl were all tasty. The ingredients were very fresh! He would order again. I got Combo #18. A beef taco, chicken enchilada and chili relleno. It was a lot of food — possibly enough to share! The albondigas they bring with the combo was good, but super salty — and I’m a salt-o-holic! The beef in the taco wasn’t seasoned very well, but wasn’t bad. More gringo than the salsa. Big chunks of chicken breast in the enchilada. big dry chunks. I wished I had ordered the cheese. I understand you can request it ranchera style. Next time. The chili relleno was the star of the plate. Excellent! I wouldn’t change a thing. So. I’d go back again, but will order different menu items. It wasn’t as bad as I had remembered! Just a little Tex-Mex.

Went here for my birthday with my husband. First time here. We were both dressed nice, and we were sat in cafeteria-like seating which was awkward. Salsa was cold and tasted like store bought, and the chips tasted slightly burned. We got no drink refills and very little service. My husband’s zarapas came luke warm and the meat did not taste good(tasted like boiled cheap steak). My enchilada and taco combo was also barely warm and bland. The chicken in my taco was unseasoned and also boiled. My cheese enchilada was passable. Not sure how this place got so many good reviews. Friends and family of the owners maybe? Our favorite Mexican food restaurant in the Antelope Valley is still Medrano’s on 10th west in Lancaster. Much better atmosphere, private booths, great food, and have never once has anything less than awesome service.

Pretty good Mexican food available in Quartz Hill. The fajitas are especially good. Nothing is too unique, but it all comes out well done. There is a full bar, but again, nothing that would be a «signature» drink. They also have friendly service that is quick. The default salsa is fairly spicy, but there is not a spicier one so if you want real heat don’t expect it. I would go back.

Service is great, the food how ever wow! By far the worst mexican food I have ever had! The green pork enchiladas were very very taste less like the meat was cook in water no spices no nothing, then put into soggy tortillas and covered with cheese. The sauce is suppose to be a tomatillo sauce but I didn’t find tomatillos or sauce anywhere lol definitely not worth it at all.

Mr. Picky and I argue about this place. I’m giving it a «4» even though he isn’t a huge fan. The chips and salsa aren’t bad, the Mexican shrimp cocktail was pretty good, and I do have to say that there was a wonderful smell when walking in … I asked the waitress what it was and she said, «Beef fajitas,» so that’s on my list to try there some time. I appreciate the fact that they make all their own salad dressings(or at least that’s what I was told when I asked) and the blue cheese was good. The waiter actually delivered a chilled fork with the salad. Now that’s service, one many restaurants have forgotten. Mr. Picky didn’t like the Albondigas, but I did. I also appreciated the fact that when my entrée plate was delivered, the fruit on it was actually ripe, juicy pineapple(I hate it when restaurants serve unripe fruit … I mean, why bother?). I’ve tried several items and my last one was the Combo #16(Chili Relleno and 2 Cheese Enchiladas) with special request to have it served Ranchera style. For Flan lovers out there, it’s not an inspiring dish here and not even a squirt of whipped cream and a cherry could help it; and we both refused to eat it all. So try some other dessert. Bottom line, I think generally their food and service is good. And I’ll just keep arguing with Mr. Picky about the rating.

– Cinco de mayo, y una Estrella(one star) – I came in for cinco de mayo. El torrito was packed, so I decided to take my coworker up on their recommendation. Bad directions: gps sends you to «the office bar and grill. WORST margarita: poured from a mix bottle tastes like cheap lemonade Terrible chips & salsa: I felt as though I was dipping my chips into a cup of tomato sauce. Save your $($ 7 for a terrible margarita) and the entres all start above $ 10. Drive down the road to el torrito (or anywhere else for that matter)
