I wouldn’t even give it one star, I tried calling to place an order and the phone was disconnected. I believe this place is out of business!!!

Place is horrible!!! Same owner as the hole in the wall across the street. Place had rats in the storage area. I had delivered there products a few times and that place is disgusting. Hope people don’t mind rats in there food.

place smells like burnt grease, went there for lunch, one person eating, the one counter guy was sitting at a table playing with his phone with all the tables around him were filthy dirty. they use a bathroom dispenser for food napkins. they are not very fiendly, pass it up and save you’re money, there are better places to eat in the area.

Ate here for the first time today & I was not disappointed. I ordered a burger which was delicious. I was babysitting & the kids I was with eat here often, they absolutely love it. It’s a nice burger place if you’re looking for something easy & yummy, but a bit better than just a drive thru. AMAZING prices too.

First time eating here and it was really good! Hot dog and fries tasted really fresh. Not a ton of drink options. Nice small local business though. I enjoyed it and would definitely come back.

Kind of an odd place. It sits in family-friendly Lake Zurich, but has a prickly tattoo and motorcycle theme. It has lots of open space, but not one table. It has only counters, but no foot rests. They don’t take plastic or checks; only cash. The menu is limited and all the dogs come with fries. Good value, but the dogs are OK and the fries are good, not great. Lunchtime on a weekday and no one else was eating. I might come again but with do many better choices in LZ, I probably won’t.

My wife took the kids there and asked if I wanted anything. I replied, an Italian beef or a cheeseburger. My wife came back and said they served neither. What??? I asked the kids how the dogs were and they said very average. I had to see what kind of place this was so went there a few weeks later and ordered… well…a hot dog. The kids were right.

If u like biker décor and a simple hot dog joint, this place is for you I spose. This is yet another one of those«keep it overly simple, fresh cut fries on top of the hot dog». Ok we get it, gene and jude’s has a pretty good formula, but sometimes I like more than just a pickle, onions and mustard on my dog. Tip: CASHONLY! no credit, debit, or checks

It was pretty messy! the cook put The plain, boiled hot dog in the bun plus full fist of French fries, everything was wrapped in paper together, after we unwrapped it… it was big soggy mess. After a while we decided to give it a try again… Our second visit 1 pm the cook refuse to serve us. We was told he has to start clean the place and would close it in 30 min… Would you come back? I would not.

Hot dogs were very good. Bathrooms were disgusting, makes you wonder about the food.

Five star amazing fries. You can watch them start from the potato, slice it in front of you, and cook it up. The hot dogs are good, nothing special, but hot dogs rarely are. The fries make this the best hot dog place around. A negative would be that it’s cash only.

A great little hot dog stand in the suburbs. Not Gene & Jude’s by any means, but an okay alternative if you can’t trek out to Schiller Park.

Simple, good hot dogs. Simple menu, no fuss. Quick service. If you are looking for complex flavors or an amazing culinary experience, this isn’t for you. Its hot dogs, fries and a drink. Period. And I think its great.

Great hot dogs and fries. Limited menu. But what they make is very good. Happy to have them close by! Definetly worth a visit.

I’ve passed by this place many time and I never thought to try it. I’ve got to say that I’ll be back now that I’ve tried it. The place is clean, the guys are nice and the service was very good, but most of all the hot dog and fries were exactly what I had hoped for. Just a straight forward Chicago dog with home cut fries. No gimmicks or frills, just a good Chicago hot dog and fries. Well done.

Excellent place! Nice staff and Great food! There menu is very limited(dogs, polish, corn dog) but that’s not a bad thing. It’s a hot dog place, after all. The dogs are DELICIOUS! Steamed buns… Quality dog… They cut the potato right before is goes in the fryer usually(They use a wall mounted can crusher style of fry cutter so it only takes a second). Honestly the only way this place could be better is if they put a pickle wedge and some celery salt on the dog. Outside of that this place is perfect! If it had that pickle and celery salt it’d get all 5 stars!

What a great addition to Lake Zurich’s lakefront. This place has all the old-time classics, including signature Redd’s sodas. Everything is super-fresh and done right. I have to admit, all I tried when I went here were a few of their hand-cut, fresh fries(I’m on a wedding diet, y’all) but they were probably the BESTFRIES I’VEEVERHAD. I can’t wait to try one of their hot dogs… you know, after the wedding… This place also has a charming 1950’s atmosphere. Great one-stop shop for lunching and munching!

Rules of Chicago Hot Dog Stands: 1) Poppy Seed Buns 2) Kosher Dill Pickles 3) Celery Salt 4) See rule # 1 through 3 I just don’t get it. They spent a ton of money to clean this place up and it looks nice. If you want a plain old hot dog on a cheap bun, this is your place. If you want anything else, sorry it’s either the hot dog or the polish. I ordered a double dog with no fires and a drink. I figured that while the menu said hot dogs and fries, I could order a dog solo. When my friend ordered, his was the exactly same price with fries and a drink??? I’m okay with a limited menu, but if all you are going to offer is dogs, do them right. Side note, I did try the fries and they were good.

This is hot dog nirvana in its simplest form. You walk in, and your options are hot dogs, polish, fresh-cut fries, and tamales. That’s it. And to add to the simplicity, your hot dog toppings are mustard, relish, onions, and sport peppers. The hot dogs have great snap and flavor. The fresh fries are tasty. Secondary to the good food is the spacious, clean dining area. A definite departure from some hot dog joints.
