Maple Leaf Inn

Simple but extremely comfortable rooms and very considerate and helpful management. Bed was excellent. Great place to stay in Lake Placid.

Another wonderful stay! This was our 3 summer at the Maple Leaf inn. Rod and Barb again gave wonderful service. This place is what you think of when you think of a small New England inn. The two of them do all of the up keep for the entire place, the wash, the pool and grounds. They so love what they do and it show! On check in day there lobby is filled will gifts from people all over the US and the world who come back year after year to stay with them. They are like part of the family.

Here for Ironman for the weekend. The owners are the nicest people in the world. They literally knew our names when we walked in. They take care of the place themselves, and it is amazingly maintained. The rooms are spotless, and the pool is wonderful. Barb, one of the owners personally drove us to the start line the morning of the race. The prices were incredibly reasonable and beds comfortable. I literally sat around on the porch chatting with them. They have grills and picnic tables for guest use.
There’s tons of hotels in the Lake Placid area… I will never stay anywhere but here. This is what customer service should be. Love it.

We have been going to the Maple Leaf Inn for 10 years now, we visit in the winter for skiing packages and in the summer for vacation. We enjoy the room, all the amenities, the heated pool in the summer, and mostly our hosts, Rod and Barb. They keep the place up to date, they treat their guests as friends and there has never been a problem that could not be resolved. We used to come here even before we had kids, and stayed in a regular room. Now that our family has grown, we are staying in room # 1, which has a bedroom, living room and kitchen, so at night after the kids go to sleep, we can have some adult time. Everything is so neat and clean, the towels and the linnen always smell so good and clean, we just could not find this service anywhere else. We would rate this place 10 stars if we could, this is the BEST PLACE TO STAY!

Great value for the area. Our kitchenette was vintage ’60’s, clean, and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by the abundance of towels, and a mud mat for shoes. Particularly useful when coming back from outdoor activities. The owner was a total concierge, giving us the Lake Placid low-​down right at check-​in. While there are many other fabulous places to stay in the area. I doubt that this can be beat for value.
