Not very happy. I ordered over the phone, no price given. When I arrived, their current menu was more than $ 2.00 more for an XL pizza than what is on Unilocal. When I told her, all she said was, thanks for bringing that to my attention. When I told her it was from Unilocal, she said I’d have to check to see if it was actually their website, and for their location. I took the time to show her. No budging, I didn’t want to be a jerk, so I paid and left. Apparently, no customer service training is offered for their counter employees. Unfortunate. Haven’t tried the pizza yet, even if it’s good, not sure I’ll go back. Try again Flying Pie.

Had Flying Pie tonight. We have been long time customers. Tonight, the ingredients were poor, cheaper, smaller. Their pizza is expensive and until now, we were willing to pay for it. No more. With them cheapening their product, they lost a customer.

Service is excellent — kind and hard working young people. I’ve never waited more than 30 minutes for my pizza at any given time. They have a rewards point system — woohoo! Oh yah and their pizza is very delicious, love the red sauce.

I am so so so disappointed! These people do not listen and nearly caused me to have an allergic reaction! I am gluten and dairy intolerant. DON’T COMEINLATEWHENTHEIR«C– TEAM» are the only people working! I brought my family here after a long day of traveling to get to Portland, because I had really enjoyed their pizza, especially because they had one of the better gluten free crusts… We ordered, and were one of two parties who came to eat in the Lake Oswego Location. I was very clear no wheat and no dairy. The crew totally ignored us and goofed off other than one guy. We ordered and with five people working they still took 35 min to make our pizzas… They were all very young and lacked any sense of caring about their customers. That was the least of my worries… The girl who brought mine said«oh yeah, you said no cheese and gluten free, but we messed up, sorry there’s cheese on yours» when I pointed out that they had put cheese on mine. Then instead of politely offering to remake the pizza and offering a partial refund, she said oh it will be at least another 20 min. I really thought this place was better than that, but will contact the owners and alert them… If I could give them no stars I would!

Reminds me of my childhood. The pie is good — so many choices and crusts to choose from that it can take a couple of visits to figure out your favorites. Something about their thin crust cheese pizza — my kids can’t get enough of it. The have a rotating beer selection so good stuff on tap. Friendly. It can get busy, so call ahead. You just have to appreciate the local flavor and tradition.

Came to this place on a challenge. .my uncle said they are the best pizza place in town. Everyone’s idea of «best» is different but I gave this place a try. Got to say I’m pretty impressed. .I’m not a fan of put as much stuff as you can fit but the pizza is very good. .crust is very fresh. I want to eat more lol Salad bar looks like it’s very generic. .$ 8 all you can eat but not interested. .so far I’m coming here on the west side everytime I want pizza. .that sais a lot. .try it out. It’s pretty good..

The individuals in this flying pie are spectacular whether it be going above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay, or having the absolute perfect slice of pizza. After trying flying pie for the first time last year, I just don’t see pizza the same anymore. Thanks to the flying pie staff here, I now have a regular lunch spot for my family or to hangout with friends. Great job guys!

We first encountered Flying Pie at their Montavilla location off SE79th and Stark. We moved to the burbs and decided to give this location a try. While the pizza is still super good and the salad bar a bit bigger, the ambiance is just ok. It’s in a strip mall and they have done the best they could with that particular location so it’s definitely worth heading there but I miss the kitschy décor of Montavilla(such as table settings somehow attached to the ceiling). Apparently you can also check out board games here but it’s not well advertised at this location(at Montavilla there is a list by the register of the games they have available which we did not see anywhere here). We thought they didn’t do it at all but then later as we were leaving noticed a family that had checked out Jenga so we’ll try that next time. Plenty of nice long tables for big groups.

A carnivores dream. Fantastic fresh toppings piled high on a flavoful crust. The staff is friendly and efficient. This place is busy there will be a wait if you don’t call ahead, but the wait is totally worth it.

Okay pizza, waaay too many toppings though, to the point of not being able to pick a slice up without it falling apart. Also the wait was unbelievably long, I went in on a tuesday evening for a to go order with only one family in front of us, took forever for the pizza to be ready.

Great pizza pies. I’m not a fan of dark sauce but the freshness of the ingredients, hand-whirled crust, and charming staff make up for that in no small measure. We’ve never eaten in. The interiour looks comfy though; classic pizza parlour atmosphere. Salad? Lovely bar, more freshness. Their mascot is priceless, too. Definitely recommended.

I realize it’s a jerk move to come into a place right before closing. I work in service. However, when you close at 10 and I come in at 9:10 and your salad bar has already been cleared out and we are told repeatedly, after we said we wanted to eat here(spent the evening on an outing. Kids were hungry. Didn’t want to make them wait another 20 minutes until we were home) that they close at 10, it was clear that we were taking our food to go. Tall, dark haired guy wearing a headband was the opposite of friendly. He was cold, rude and impatient. He then went on to complain to other employees about the restaurant and his job. The food here is great, but I’m in no hurry to return.

Now Check It!!! You must know what your getting when you come here. Don’t walk up in here tryna get a slice at 6pm… aint happening. Also if your on a diet then please tell em easy on the toppings cuz it’ll weigh down your slice, seriously!!! Actually any pizza with more than 3 toppings is no longer a pizza and becomes something you eat with a knife and fork on a plate with your pinky up, lololol. Best way in my opinion is to order regular or thin crust, heavy FREE seasoning and FREEFRESH garlic. Extra crispy, well done! This ain’t a NY stop in snag a slice then run type of joint so please don’t be mad at the 30min plus wait. Here’s a tip… CALLAHEAD!!! MMMMMM I can smell it now… No Seriously I CAN!!!

Our daughter told us we had to try Flying Pie Pizzeria – she said it was the best pizza in Portland, hands down. So on our last visit to see her, we ventured to the Lake Oswego branch. Two other friends joined us, and were equally impressed. Flying Pie is not for trendoids – no strange toppings that would likely only please a diehard vegan. They do offer various thicknesses, including a stuffed baked pizza that you would get at a place like Giordano’s. We opted for the standard Chicago thick crust version. One nice touch is they offered extra red sauce, extra garlic and extra Italian seasoning, all for free. We decided to get all three! We also had different ingredients on half the pizza to meet the request of our pineapple loving daughter. Thus we had a total of 6 different toppings on the pizza but we were only charged for 4(cha-ching!). What truly impressed us was the quality and quantity of the toppings. At many pizzerias, you will order 4 toppings and all of them get reduced in quantity in order to fit the other toppings(as if you did not notice). At Flying Pie, you get prodigious quantities of all toppings you order. Nevertheless, the pizza was cooked to perfection and delicious. My wife will never eat more than two pieces of a large pizza(which preserves her girlish figure), but at Flying Pie, she went for three – the pizza is that good. This costs more than going to Pizza Hut, but it is worth every penny.

One of my three favorite pizza places ever!(I don’t rank the top three) the amazing amount of toppings on their pizzas is an experience in and of itself. Their pies are always amazing, with home made sausage and garlic add on. Plus they have a good selection of always rotating beer. The staff us always been friendly and I very much like the decorations on the walls. I will continue to be a loyal customer.(And for those wondering my other two favorite pizza places are Wallerys in west Salem, and Wall Street Pizza in Gresham)

When you order pizza from the LO Flying Pie, you are setting yourself up for success. Pizza is an incredibly prevalent food today and there are few places which craft similarly immaculate, fresh, and delectable specimens as you will find at this establishment. This Flying Pie is the top of the heap, as far as I’m concerned. Please do yourself a favor and pick up a slice or a whole pizza here if you’ve never had it. I recommend stromboli. I wish I could rate six stars, but if I could, I would wish I could rate seven. The LO Flying Pie is not pizza done«correctly» or pizza done«well». It is pizza done perfectly. Now stop reading this review and go eat!

First, let me say what Flying Pie is not. it does not offer thin crust New York style pizza. Chicago style deep dish pizza is not on the menu either. And if you are looking for California froufrou pizza covered with toppings that would make an Italian run from his kitchen screaming, then don’t go to Flying Pie. Instead, Flying Pie makes the type of honest pizza you get in neighborhood pizzerias East of the Mississippi. The crust is tasty, the sauce has character, and the sausage and pepperoni are far more flavorful than anything you buy at the local grocery store. Oh, and let’s not forget that the toppings are piled high and deep. This is not a pizza for those on a diet. A few other pleasant facts: — A nice selection of craft beers are on tap — Kids are always welcome at The Pie — The restaurant has the atmosphere of an authentic Midwest pizzeria — They have take out Finally, unlike the other great pizza places in town(Apizza Scholls and Ken’s) you can actually get a table without waiting.

Great crust, great toppings and good sauce. Their pies have been in existence in the portland area for many years and there is a good reason for this. The inside isnt anything special here and the layout seems a bit cramped but the food is good.

Good ingredients, small salad bar, kinda older looking place inside, friendly staff. Every time I get a pizza to go they say it will be 30 minutes but there is so many toppings it always takes longer to cook. I got the extra large again, Miss Piggy with jalapeños and pineapple added, I just can’t help myself, the pizza is that good.
